    Howzit VanCan !! Cool to see how you piece together yr vid with 3rd person views for a realistic depth perception. I am in Hood River on the Columbia river and alot of the riding is easy compared to alot of what I see online, but ridiculously fun !! Post Canyon is 15 minutes from my door n littered with all size n type variations of jumps thanks to Hood River Area Trail Stewards n IMBA for sooo much fun on their features. If yr in town n want a free guide to the jump mania aaaand the unknown jewels n gems in the area, look me up !! Garth Hardin on utube .. just recently got a gopro 8 compared to the earthquake vids of my other gopros. Ride jump or wither !!!!

      Dirt in the PNW usually gets grippier when it's wet. We call that condition "hero dirt". But if it gets too saturated, then it becomes slippery mud like anywhere else. That only happens when a really serious rainstorm hits, though.

      Definitely

    • @ashleyburkes3091
      @ashleyburkes3091 3 года назад

      Just remember the BMX community does and 30 and 40 foot gaps concrete to concrete and if their bikes can handle that then of course a hardtail will handle any dirt jump for sure. You should be working on building strength in your whole body with weights to absorb the impact. Your legs and core are the real suspension.

    • @puneetsingh691
      @puneetsingh691 3 года назад +1

      @@ashleyburkes3091 i know this is bit weird questionbut what are benefits of mountain biking aside from cardio.i am looking for in depth benefits like maybe recharges u b4 going to work or improved coordination. i also look for skills that might developed. For example if u play soccer u might built social skills or team works skills. I read on google mountain biking increases brain power.

    • @ashleyburkes3091
      @ashleyburkes3091 3 года назад +1

      @@puneetsingh691 Any form of cardio or strength training that gets the heart and vascular system pumping will have major benefits for mental and physical health. It depends on what kind of mountain biking your doing will depend on the he benefits. Jumping will have a slight cardio component to it but I’d say mostly eye coordination, timing, and things of that nature.
      You can always do different types of riding for different qualities you want to build on.
      For example maybe Monday’s could be a strength day where you sprint with the bike up hills for multiple sets or practice bunny hops with a weighted vest on. Tuesday could be a more of a relaxed day where your jumping and flowing on trails. Wednesday’s could be focused on endurance where your doing several miles of riding at a moderate to high intensity for a sustained amount of time and so on.
      That’s why I love riding bikes because it’s really a whole body exercise depending on what your doing. I personally try and ride bikes everyday and lift weights for strength 2 days a week. If I don’t feel like riding bikes or don’t have time then I’ll jump rope instead or something where I get my cardio in.
      The most important thing is just to stay active.

    @6:20 when you have 6 rollers where you can triple double them, in BMX we call them a 6-pack. Fun fact, I think it was the 91 ABA Blackjack nationals in Las Vegas or Reno ( can't remember the location) a pro rider cased the 2nd set and ended up in the hospital so on Saturday night the ABA track crew removed the middle two rollers to make it safer. That only ended up making the last bit harder because you couldn't carry speed through. In any case they're a great feature.

    NOTE: i am 14 so i dont have a steady income, but i an buy both the capra base and comp in full right now. i am also coming from a 2015 giant stance 1.......is it worth paying 800$ more to get the capra comp instead of the base model? ive been pondering the idea of getting a whole bunch of better components with the next level of capra. for 800$ you get code brakes, a carbon frame, fox 36 float forks, fox float dpx2 preformance, sram nx drivetrain, and E13 LG1 EN wheels. Should i buy the comp or the base, i need advice?

    • @Andrew_Dahlman
      @Andrew_Dahlman 3 года назад +1

      I would go with the Comp, I'm looking at the Jeffsy Comp right now and the two have a similar spec. For 800 more you seem to be getting a lot more for your money, same goes with the Jeffsy Base vs the Comp, The SX eagle on the base is not the best so you will probably have to upgrade that later on, Full Fox, Carbon frame, DPX2 Performance, and E13 wheelset is a whole lot more value.
