What an epic way to end a ride! Float’n and beers!
Highlight of the trip!
yo its bobo
I love that mountain. Looks like we each had pretty different, yet equally terrifying experiences on Kodiak. I had rain, you had slick dust! Majorly butt-clenching.
It’s definitely a scary one, but I loved it
We were the first people to ride Rubber Ducky!!
That was back in July.
Not equally, he didn't look like garbage on the trail.
Another deer right around 8:50! Great video man.
Haha. The float is a must do every time you visit fernie
4:32... so casually “oh is there a bear?” 😂
Bears will usually leave you alone if you don’t annoy them or they don’t feel threatened by you
Usually the reaction when you see them on these trails. I saw two Cubs and a mama last summer at this bike park
rubber ducky seems awesome! Shark fins are such an underrated jump and I loved to see them out on the trail!
I love Fernie!!!!! My wife and I just rode our gravel bikes from Chilliwack to Fernie on The Great Trail! Great experience!
That jump line looks AMAZING 🤤
If you are able to travel you and the boys need to ride the French, Italian Alps .
....some huge Mountains and intense trails!
Bro how does this man not have more subs he makes some of the best quality mtb videos on RUclips he is totially right up there with Seth and Jordan bosstmaster and all those other guys that rule mountain bike RUclips I really like the channel make keep up the great work good things for you!👍
Your mate with the red backpack looks like his bike is way too small for him😀
I noticed that too. Really easy to control that bike though I'm thinking>
It was probably Jordan Boost Master ! Ha Ha
daveandmerlin tell him from me he needs the next size up😀
SlowRideMTB good point. A lot of racers tend to do go down a size to give it more chuck ability 😀👌
@@michaeledwards5241 more like 2 sizes up ! In the proper Gnar a tiny bike is just plain silly
Wow! If it looks so steep in the video I can’t imagine how steep it actually is 😱😱. GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!
yea when I rode cats pajamas we were surprised with a deer too🤣😆
Watching you skid down Kodiak Carnage I swear to god I could smell the dirt lifting behind you! Awesome vid.
impressive on the skinny at 2:55
That long steep sections causes nightmares damn
I like your cut g
"What's the line here?" Fair question! 😄 Thanks for another nice video!
Awesome video man. The highlight of my Fernie trip was hiking the Three Sisters peak (you show them at 10:11) and riding down left peak, epic scree top section and then PRIME sub-alpine single track for at least 30 minutes.
My local bike park opens for the season next weekend!! Sooo stoked! And theres meant to be a huge new freeride line opening too😋
Do you live in the northern or Southern Hemisphere?
@@rachelpanth5527 I live in New Zealand (southern hemisphere)
Adam Kraig thought so! all them northern folk have been enjoying the bike park season for some time now, now it’s our turn!
Though I live in Australia so it’s just Thredbo which is too dusty and Mt Stromlo which is open 365 days a year so it’s not really a special occasion. Worth trying to fly to NZ for your trails over there?
My local bikepark (bikepark wales) just f.cking closed. It is in a different country from me and got a local lockdown so that's sad😔 Didnt even get to go there before it closed
@@rachelpanth5527 haha ikr, every winter I sit and drool over videos of their dusty bike parks and now it's our turn🤙
Nice, do you live near Perth? I have some mates from WA who ride there...looks epic👌last time I was in Aussie I rode at blue derby with my mates from Perth and it was an absolutely banger time!! Cant wait for borders to properly open up again, and yes you should definitely come over and sample some NZ mtb goodness
cats has to be my favourite trail on the park or the new rubber ducky. kodiak is a one time ride on each trip for me...
sick trails man
Oh man, I haven't ridden Fernie in, like, 15 years. Back on my venerable VPS-3. I miss the BC Rockies.
Looks like Southern Cali trails in the summer 😀🤙 Sliding down some powder dust hahah
Someday when us Yanks can come into Canada again this is on my list. Also really want to ride Sun Peaks and Revelstoke in the summer.
Love the videos, been following for awhile. Great job on these.
You were just about a squeaky as your bike in this vid. Awesome content keep it up ;)
man, that looks so steep on camera, I can't imagine what it was like in person
Great vid. And way to start the week.
hope the water was high enough for that float lol
Kodiak is a great trail! if you really want some butt clenchings stuff in fernie, check out diggler
ohhhhhhh yaaaaaaa
That was longer than I thought it was going to be - van can
I love your videos, but the noise that comes from your tues hurts my soul. PLS promise us a service during off season
you just reminded me I need to book my bike in for a service haha
I was about to say the same thing
Sounds like the grim donut 😄
@@BCpov true story, watched Yoanns run today
off season? PFF if it was me I'd put a drop of fork oil on every part of the bike that moves. That usually fixes all squeaks. Usually that sound comes from the bearings on the frame or the rear derailleur clutch. Just a single drop of fork oil fixes those kinds of squeaks after riding in dusty conditions.
Great riding, man! I hop YT addresses those creaky headsets they're known for, a few of my buddies have the same problem.
Awesome!
Try the infamous "Black Lung " Bcpov tried it 🤙that's steeeeep !!!!
Looks sick Nic, nice
Really awesome ride! 🔝🔝🤙
Ope! A deer!
Rubber Ducky looks like a heel of a lot of fun! @VanCam did Fernie give you any discount codes to share?
No discount codes this time
🔥
Awesome ride! New here with full support, ride safe and hope we can connect 🤟🏼
Not sure which ones streeper but u should hit horse face at windrock!
Dude, that bike makes me nervous:)
I feel like my riding is at a decent level, I love going fast and riding techy rough sections. I struggle with jumps and only feel ok on kickers with no landing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated
Is that creeking your headset or bb..?
Haha. Wow. Wow..... More brakes than you have ever used.
Nice man
Just me and Max Harris
VANCOUVER CITY
Are double crowns difficult on the tight techy stuff?
I literally cant watch this the amount of creaking coming from your bike
you know its steep when it even look steep on a go pro
What kind of bike are you riding
Was the one dude riding a Morewood?
Calcium grease!
was this shot on the go pro hero9?
Nope 8
I feel like van can is just bc POV without the color treatment and the commitment issues
Are you following @bcpov?
Hi!
VanCan- riding the steepest trails ever
Jordan Boostmaster- am I a joke to you?
try cleaning tour pads hahaha
That chairlift seems super awkward. Needs some proper bike carriers like every other park in BC
9th
The most annoying creaky bike ever !
The squeaks, creaks and howls from your bike cause me physical pain, pls service it
never
No more Enduro?
Love the vids but change your pads beforehand
They’re new
Grease that bike please
Never!
Good footage. But all the bike rattle was distracting. Keep it up!
nice videos, thumb up man, but your breaks are horrible :P
That bike sounds terrible
Clean your braking pads xd
Great trail and movie, but the noise of your bike hurts. Showing happiness is good, but not with the noise of a dog. That sounds so terrible.
Hey Van Can, I recently started riding bike parks on my 160mm enduro bike, I was wondering how you deal with your hands and fingers hurting and cramping from all the vibration? I love your videos man!
When ever you’re not riding stretch your fingers on you handlebars
Make sure you’re hydrated! Stretch them, and work them out if you can. My hands hurt a lot when I first started riding park, but after it eventually gets better.
Just my 2 cents... get some palm-padded gloves from the hardware section at Walmart (about $7). Works for me!
Thank you so much man
