    I wish Yamaha would put that power train in the Viking. It needs an upgrade.

      Arick Hook could you compare the acceleration to something?

    • @arickhook370
      @arickhook370 6 лет назад +2

      JOSH Pittman its pretty good. In high range the low end is a little light but the mid range is very powerful. In low range, the power is there at anytime and on the trail it feels like it's on par with most n/a machines

      I like it! How are the seats for trails vs fun? Does its build uphold the Yamaha quality? Did they put regular service points(grease fittings, oil, air filter, belt) within reach? Do you like the cab and bed layout?

  • @1kukini
    @1kukini 6 лет назад +2

    Despite the smaller cab and suspension travel compared to the R-Spec, I’m still looking hard at one for next year. After 5500 miles my R-spec decided it wanted a top end rebuild.

    Same videos over and over. You guys post the full episode and then chop up the episode and post shorter videos. It drives me nuts because I'm eager for new content and constantly get notified of already posted clips. Great content though, just repeats.

    I love Yamaha products . Had a 2009 rhino and put over 27000klms on it on mountain roads rail beds barrens and loved it. Got a 2016 wolverine now but i find Yamaha is like all the rest when it comes to this. Right after you buy a model the next model of that one that comes out they make you feel like you were stupid for buying the last model but everything is like that now.I love mine and it is not noisy IMO

      @@07decker AWESOME! THE NEW WOLVERINS ARE SO QUIET AND A BIGGER ENGINE BUT I LOVE WHAT I HAVE . PLENTY FAST ENOUGH FOR ME. I HAVE NEVER USED FULL THROTTLE ON ANYTHING SO SPEED Isn't my priority. dependability is and Yamaha Does That & Then some IMO. :) Happy Off Roading Sir . I can't Wait For Another Month Now to get at it again. Not a snow person lol Newfoundland Canada here Channel Port-aux-Basques NL. I'd say you have been on the Island for a ride already but if Not Come On :)

    "the new cvt runs cooler and more durable... and it better be" that actually made me laugh, lol like what? yamaha has always had execellent cvt systems, they have bin running the same one in the grizzly for years and years just like their same 686 signle cylinder engine.

    Thanks for the video I its a nice machine and quite but I don't like the way you have to get in and out of it the shoulder part is why and there is no storage containers behind each seat like in the Teryx 2 and only 2 headlights instead of 4 like the Teryx and ground clearance is less as well a lot of people complain about the teryx being so loud that you can't talk it's loud but not to wear you can't talk to your passenger and you do feel the cabin heat witch is great in cooler months but yes it can be hot in the summer but I just plug in a 12 volt fan that works great in the hotter months it all depends what you're looking for and what fits you if you plan on changing out that big exhaust pipe with a HMF or some other after market pipe then say goodbye to it being quiet

    I was waiting to see a 2019 1000cc wolverine to compete in the sport utility class with the Polaris General 1000 and Can Am Commander 1000. Maybe for 2020

    • @hellvsheaven89
      @hellvsheaven89 4 года назад

      I dont think they will ever make one even though if its there for them. Yamaha is already known for reliability, longivity and best quality. Can ams and polaris wont allow yamahas to make it or it will kill their businesses. All these brands are actually doing business together and thats something dont know about.

    Hey guys at Dirt Trax, I'm just getting into my teens and want do a cheap "ish" build with an older Yamaha Wolverine still debating wether or not to go with the old semiautomatic 350 or newer 450 auto

    yea by no means class leading, you nailed that part, i love yamahas but their leaps and bound behind polaris and can am as far as performance and horsepower in side x sides. that hard wired tablet thing is pretty badass thoe i wasnt expecting that, i think if our going to put that much tech into a side x side, might as well integrate a stero with it since you already have a good nav system.

    Here's my review on the Wolverine. It sucks, to small and under powered, no bed space very small. Not enough cockpit room and no past thru. Made for midgets with little legs. Yamaha wasted their time with this.
