    Good old lil’ Suzuki. I have an sx4 with a similar engine 1.5 from 2007 also. Mannol is a good choice 👌🏻

    I have this car. It recommends 0w 20 oil in the handbook for best fuel efficiency. Also the recommended spark plugs are NGK laser iridium which last longer.

    • @BJLAUTOMOTIVE
      @BJLAUTOMOTIVE  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah that's fair enough and definitely go by that if it makes you feel more confident about what your putting into your engine etc. I've never personally had any issues or bad fuel efficiency doing the service with these materials either tbh.
      Drives spot on and feels smooth.

      I change mine every year as it doesn't cost a lot to change but you could do it every 6 months if you drive a lot of Miles.

    Thank you very much.Just tell us how to clean the throttle body.

    • @BJLAUTOMOTIVE
      @BJLAUTOMOTIVE  2 месяца назад

      If I was to clean mine, I would use the WD40 specialist throttle body, carb and choke cleaner spray or something similar if you can't get hold of any.

  • @tardeliesmagic

    I use tape on end of the spark plug socket. Top tip....whilst the oil is draining for 2 mins or so do pour in clean new oil so it rinses away anything sitting on bottom of he sump. WD-40 the HT leads inside & outside & use copper grease on the threads of the spark plugs, they say it already has a coating but the cylinder head can corrode over time! Give your throttle body a good clean & do check your PCV.

      Hey, thanks for the tips. yes you are right, I actually forgot to do that so I will be going back over that over the weekend 👍
      Good thing is with the swifts they are so easy to work on compared to other cars.
      Other than that I hope the video came out OK I'm still learning 😬

      Thanks for the tip! Adding some new oil and using we-40 or some alternative keeps moisture away. I have used it for year's doesn’t mess with electronics! And cleaning the throttle body and PCV VALVE can make a difference and easy to do.

    Just a quick question: I've just bought my partner one for work. It's the 1.3gl, and the every thing is reading ok on the cluster apart from the rpm guage. It is just stuck at 0 rpm. Do you have any idea what it could be. Great video, by the way.

      Hey, thank you! Really appreciate the positive feedback.
      I can't say I've personally had this issue before but if I did, the first thing I'd do is plug in a code reader into the OBD port to see if any electrical fault codes come up to do with this.
      If no faults show up then the next thing I would do is take out the complete unit from the car to check over all electrical connections and damaged wires!
      also check for any bad solders or capacitors on the circuit board found on the back of the cluster.
      If all that looks good too then it could be pointing at a faulty unit and you might need to buy a second one.
      Also write on forums before buying another unit in case someone else has had this issue in the past and may have a solution for you that might not be so obvious.

      @BJLAUTOMOTIVE Thank you for the reply. I will give these suggestions a look at. I previously had a corsa d with an intermittent faulty speedo. I took that apart and found out it was a bad solder joint on the actual speedo needle motor. That was fine ever since i re soldered that

      Hey, Some brands have a directional print to tell you but some don't like the one I had. I normally pull the old one out first and then back to back them together and go from there 👍

    • @BJLAUTOMOTIVE
      @BJLAUTOMOTIVE  4 месяца назад

      That to me sounds like a faulty sensor somewhere. Might be worth getting a OBD Reader plugged in, to see if any fault codes come up.

      Could be a variety of issues always best to get a scan, but try removing the air filter if it’s very dirty and leave the car on while idling if there is no issue with dips then filter needs replacement.
      If problem still there then it might be dirty throttle body, clean with appropriate cleaner.
      If problem persists while car on, you can try pulling up on coil packs 1 at time and pushing back down, the idle should get very rough but this could help you determine if you have a faulty coil pack.
      Might also be low fuel pressure aswell.

      Does this happens during idling? Check the IAC. It gets dirty and stucks.

    Hi, I have watched 150+ of your videos. You make so many beautiful and informative video content about cars and motorcycles. All your video quality is good. But I noticed, the video views of other channels of the same keyword are very high compared to your video's views are very low. And I analyzed the reason. They have implemented SEO in their content which you haven't. And therefore your targeted visitors are not finding your content. Do you want to stay ahead of your competitors?
