I have a 2012 Diesel DDIS Suzuki Ritz(Indian version of Suzuki Splash), great car, offers a lot of driving comfort even 12 years later, just required a shock absorber replacement after all these years.
Hello from Pakistan, it was very nice review. We have a Swift 1.3L and a Yaris 1.3L in the family. I have driven both and the Swift's driving pleasure is at another level...definitely a lot more than the Yaris. My brother drove the Swift recently on the highway around 380 km at speeds of 120 - 160 kmph... the car went flawlessly... and consumed 25 liters of petrol in the whole journey with the air conditioning on.. overall,i am very satisfied with the swift. . thank you.
there were a couple of versions: 1.3 92hp 1.3 90hp 4x4 all wheel drive this was only made in japan but some made it to europe second hand market 1.3 diesel - its a diesel from Fiat, not bad if you do many many miles but the petrols are better 1.5 102hp 1.6 125hp (this was the swift sport) The training rental cars on the Nurnburgring Nordschleife (aka green hell), IMO the best race track in the world use unmodified Swift Sports so that tells you something about how much abuse these cars can handle. You can rev them on the redline all day long and still run 300-500k kms without major issues (same cannot be said about the transmission but its not expensive to fix that) Unbeatable cars for the price point.
Hey Ik zit eraan te denken om deze auto te kopen in de nabije toekomst. Is het mogelijk om via bluetooth je mobiel te connecten met de Swift (of via USB/ aux) aansluiting? Wat een toffe kar 👍😎
@@Karangulo No it isnt, this generation of Swift was made in Hungary for the European markets. Only the Swift Sport was made in Japan. If the VIN number doesnt have a J in it, it wasnt made in Japan. "Shogun" was only a trim level on some markets.
@@zsoltpapp3363 Yes it is. I own swift mk6 1.3 2007 made in Japan and it's VIN starts with JSA. Most Swifts were made in Hungary, but you could've also ordered a made in Japan like mine. One of many differences was an antenna on the back of the roof.
I think its worn a little bit, overall the gearbox functions well. During regular maintenance no issues where found. The car has now more then 100.000 KM on the clock. Overall the car performs well and not to expensive in road tax, insurance and maintenance costs.
@@petruadrianpatrascu6239 I was thinking it would safe costs since you drive a lot when you have a driving school. It all depends on how much KM you will drive. Diesel engines are more efficient on fuel. But the 1.3 petrol is also quite efficient to be honest, 15KM on 1 liter of petrol is not bad.
I have the same car. Mine is at about 4k revs at 130 km/h. If you plan on going on highways a lot you can easily find better cars. But for spirited drives on back roads its nice
Als je het niet helemaal vertrouwt zou je nog een ANWB aankoop keuring kunnen doen. Anders wellicht onderhandelen met de verkoper om het eventuele defect te verhelpen, succes 👍
Normally I don't drive like this, and when the engine is properly warmed up then it is no issue to drive with more rpm. Offcource the car will use more fuel this way.
@@Spandex08 Wind noise gets kinda loud but the engine noise is fine. Since the car is quite stiff you will feel bumbs and pothole's but it also makes the car sporty so I don't mind it. @@thatcalebguynz1150 I own a Swift 07' and it is sporty, the car is small, the steering is really responsible, the suspension is tight, for 960kg the 1.3 petrol with 92 hp is enough to have fun. Any car can go fast in a straight line, but a sporty car can take corners very well, and its fun to drive it. The Swift is just like that. Before i bought my own swift i've never thought i'd say that, i thought it was a small slow boring car but my opinion changed really quickly. in turkey we change gear most likely between 2-3k rpm. You change more 3k rpm, is this normal or harmfull for engine
Normally I don't drive like this, and when the engine is properly warmed up then it is no issue to drive with more rpm. Offcource the car will use more fuel this way.
It is normal in Japanese engines to change gear at higher RPMs. Japanese engines are built for high revs, and the torque is maximized at higher revs.
