    I think you should consider the area smaller for the force scenario... I got 80 Mpa on my sims...

      Heat flux: Thermal balance for breaking - Kinetic energy being converted into heat. Consider radiation.
      Convection coefficient: Not easy. Requires proper fluid mechanics and heat transfer knowledge.

    is this just for braking pressure over one second? If so, are you just assuming that the rotor is moving fast enough to consider constant heat flux across the entire outside segment?

      I have assumed that after 1 sec the brakes will lock. So there is no heat addition, only convection. Yes flux is assumed to be constant, because I dont know how flux will change, it depends on various factor, But since the time interval is small the constant flux approcimation works well.

    What material are you using? Propreties? I am getting strange deformations.

      AISI 4340 STEEL

      But a default material is assigned in ANSYS which has similar property of 4340

      @@simulationworld5872 I am using 42CrMo4, as this is the material previous discs were made of, but I am trying to figure it out where the problem is for strange deformations

      I did it by assuming all the kinetic energy becomes heat (and then assuming that around 95% of the heat goes into the discs, which i saw was a pretty fair assumption)
