It really was built to provide drinking water. Atlanta was originally a railroad stop & the city sprung up so fast they didn't have time to build a proper infrastructure (still a water problem today) How they did it is the big story. Wreaked havoc in the town with violence. Most of the families fled. They paid very few for land but from 1100 plus families to actually only paying about 10 isn't anything to claim but they do & that's how they claim to have "purchased" the land. But they attacked, lynched, raped, burned... of course the people would leave. But it really was for water but Atlanta still has water issues because they still never properly fixed the issue. They just found a place to hold water but still people have to ration it out during heat waves
@@reemj3675 They could've chosen any other place to build a dam. Lanier for drinking water is just a cover up for something that can look to be productive. Just think about it, the irony is that it had to happen near a black town, yet multiple of the same incident happened all over America?

Until social media says be outraged, many won't be
It’s not the younger generation’s fault for not being taught proper history. There’s a lot of things most people, if not all, don’t know because of fabricated or undocumented history.I honestly think it’s good that the story was shared through TikTok. That’s what helped bring the story to surface and caused people to actually research and learn more.
Dam lovely news lady. Need more of her
The real truth about the real People that lived there and how they were forced to vacate for the ones that didn't Back then I think we know how that went.
Our ancestors are doing Gods work n helping us…. I LUV U ANCESTORS KEEP TAKING EM OUT!!!! Be with us 🙏🏾 🦁
What they don’t want to tell u is that it was a Black town
Who did the town belong to ? Left that part out
Lake of the Ozarks averaged about 40 deaths per year over the past 3 years. Lanier is doing pretty good.
I live in the ozarks and swim in table rock a lot so many people drown here ... I just don’t understand it’s a man made lake and they also flooded a city As well look in to it honestly
One Is Too MANY! Nothing To BRAG About.
Those damn monster car size catfish that makes the body disappear.
Okay but who here from tiktok 🙈
He said "as a father, son, brother, having to go passed there" imagine going passed there as a descendant of the ancestors slaughtered there daily or even seeing these stories. Yet, the country doesnt think it should have to repair the endless amounts of families for nearly half a millennium of atrocities
I need to do my research cuz this doesn't make sense. You're telling me during a drought that homes, cars, and other building structures are visible...why was a lake placed here to begin with. Sounds like the movie Poltergeist. You build homes over a cemetery but don't remove the bodies
That is exactly what happened. They flooded those people out of their homes and property. They didn't move some graves either.
DUH! If They EVIL NOW! Causing Death To MANY....How MUCH More They Were BACK Then ...Is Not Shocking For Money Hungry Evil Jealous Demonic PEOPLE.Their Offspring Still Here!
They are not saying what was under there. Provide drinking water?? SMH TELL THE REAL STORY!!!
@@reemj3675 Thank you
@@reemj3675 They could've chosen any other place to build a dam. Lanier for drinking water is just a cover up for something that can look to be productive. Just think about it, the irony is that it had to happen near a black town, yet multiple of the same incident happened all over America?
This lake has alot of drownings!
Someone just drowned today smh
alex mandy yep, some people say lake Lanier is haunted
I’ve been swimming in lake Lanier since I was little...
@@dylan2901 Haunted? Nothing is haunted. There are no ghosts and no spirits. Once you die that is it. The brain is powerful. What people fail to realize is when they frequent so called "haunted places" they go there with the mindset that they will actually see, hear or experience something. Your mind will actually trick you into believing that nonsense. You are forcing yourself to believe in something that is not there and manifesting it all on your own.
@@INDRIDCOLD83 how would you know? you've never died
Our ancestors not happy….tell the truth about that lake
post signs make people aware, if they choose to go in anyway,.......
What happened to the people of the town 😢😢 God will make it right 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m sure it’s cursed by the souls that was snatched there. Beware
Everyone around that lake is haunted and don't know it, Spirits
Building that lake must have been a massive error. Horrible.
It wasn’t an error. It was hatred.
0:26 sooooo yall left out the town….?
The souls are enacting revenge.
RIP To the residents of Oscarville. Reparations are a MUST!
Learned something
Even tho I’m a great swimmer I always tell people ……”I don’t play around in water I can’t stand in”✅✅✅😑😑💯
It’s crazy they didn’t tell the truth and still don’t it’s just oh it’s a lake with houses naw my ancestors down there snatching ppl up
Tell the truth
I’ve swam in this lake so many times..... super creepy
Yo are you still alive?
@@johnnyp3839 somehow
@@kylemcginley6 He said some how. Lol...aight man stay safe out there.
Kinda like smith lake but except they didn’t harm anyone flooding the valley. It’s still a whole ass town under there and really dangerous if you get to certain levels of the lake
I love how they dare talk about the truth and the whole story. Still today. Ohhh it’s one of the things we should forget about due to the monstrous acts of others so their kids live carefree not knowing the truth.
There's an American Horror Story episode based on this haunted lake. Don't go into that lake
Cursed lake 😞😥
Came here from Stephanie Soo channel
Why are they saying farm lands you know black communities used to be there
Closed it down
#TacoTarantino after watching tac0 video this was all on my recommendations 💀I’m a little scared now 🤣
The disrespect to our ancestors. They shouldn’t be swimming in that lake anyways !😡 they need to turn it into a state memorial sight.
VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH ♟.
The fact that it’s a site of historical ethnic cleansing doesn’t really help the vibe around there either
“ I wouldn’t wish that on anyone”. ( While smiling).
he looked hella suspicious
Is that the Lainer speedway that's in Iracing?
No. That track was built in 1983 between Braselton and Oakwood directly across from Road Atlanta
I need them to redo the intro - minus the male anchor & Aisha got to stand side profile while facing the camera.
So, the water coming out of our taps is not just gross, but haunted.
This is literally like every man made lake lol😂 I work on the lake everyday most deaths on lanier are from idiots that don't know how to boat or are drunk and aren't paying attention
Karma baby is real the spirit seems real omg
Why do Some people try to make everything racial?
Make?
Why do people like you benefit from race?
Because it was a racial thing
Idiocy, cultural Marxism and other things. That being said, there was violence related to race there.
It’s called Karma
So you're ignoring how they flooded a Black town by making the lake
Yeah they will...
The sheer amount of conspiracies here. No one drowned with the filling of the lake. It took over 4 years to fill! That’s a long time to sit at home waiting to drown.
