You are such an inspiration man! I watched skate videos before I went to go skateboard and it help to inspire.... Now that I do wedding and portrait photography you are my inspiration and I watch your videos to help pump me up to go out and shoot! Keep it coming brother!
Just started finding your videos and love the narration man! Awesome work. I think it strikes a nice balance between you in action and then with you explaining what you're trying to do. Would be curious what kind of games do you typically try to get couples to play along with. Any favorites? :)
Great video but it gives me a bit of headache going from horizontal and vertical mode. Overall, this was super cool and I love to see more BTS to follow you along so I can see you interact with the couple to get the genuine smile and laughter! I love how you are able to make the couple laugh by using a few tricks like tickling. Such an underated channel but high quality content!
Thanks Trang! Yeah, I switch back and forth a lot. Definitely not ideal. If I had the money and ability to bring someone with me to record these sessions I totally would, and it's something I'm hoping to do in the future. Releasing a 40+ BTS Engagement session next week! It's gonna be gold!
Thanks for commenting! Awesome questions! Most of my session last 90 minutes to 2 hours. I always check sunset time and just start roughly 2 hours prior to that sunset time in that location.
Just kind of wondering... How long did this session take? Do couples end up getting antsy after an hour, or will they feel ripped off if it's only 45 min? Do you have a time limit you charge for or do you take longer and shorter depending on the couple, and the shots you want? As always, an amazing video, You are AMAZING!!!
Most of my sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes to 2 hours. Depends on locations and time of year. I’ve never had my couples get antsy since I control the pacing and vibe of the session. My goal is that by an hour in there feeling confident and having a lot of fun while also creating a connection with me and understanding how I work and pose. If I do end a session early it’s normally in mutual agreement with the couple due to weather, primarily cold temperatures or rain.
Great video! ...excellent use of backgrounds as they can be as important as the subjects! ...really loved that, nice one!
I appreciate it :)
Hey Josiah I feel like I owe you a lot of money with this content you’re providing for us!
Hahah I appreciate that Astello! Glad you’re finding the content beneficial!
Very nice idea this narrative behind the scenes comments! Awesome video thank you!
Lovely shoot... Keep always show behind the scene...

I have a games video I'm working on. Hard to explain it over text. That video is on my list to release this year so stay tuned for that :)
Love this style of videos behind the scenes. Love the narrative
Great tutorial Josiah. All the better for the lion rampant flag from Scotland, my home, in the background at 13:07 the yellow flag, red lion
Nice!! Yeah this is the oldest street in Philly so I imagine there is a lot of diversity of ancestry in that area. Thanks for the comment, John!
I love videos like this
Thanks
Got a lot more of these types of videos coming this year!
Another great video, thanks man
You got it! Glad it was helpful!

@@JosiahBlizzard OMG yay! I love your channel. Cant wait for more
i would love a video about choosing the location for shoots.
Great video again!
Good video, thanks.
I love videos like this. How long do your engagement sessions last? And what time of day do you begin in order to end at sundown?
Thanks for commenting! Awesome questions! Most of my session last 90 minutes to 2 hours. I always check sunset time and just start roughly 2 hours prior to that sunset time in that location.
Great video thank you, do you generally shoot wide open with your couples or are you bringing the f/stop up a bit to keep them both in focus etc?
Depends on the shot but the majority of the time I shoot completely wide open

@@JosiahBlizzard Thank you! That's super helpful!
I really like your channel. How many images do you typically deliver after a session like this?
Thanks Thomas. I deliver anywhere between 150-300 for engagement sessions.
What are the locations you used in this video?
Great question, Steve! We shot in Philadelphia at Washington Square Park, The Second Bank of the United States, Elfreth's Alley, and City Hall.
