    yes! I love my azeron. been using it for almost a year now and could never go back.
    Also with pedals for throttle and a Joystick with twist stick it is perfect for 6DOF space sims like Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous. I use the Azeron stick for strafing up down left right

    I’ve had this thing for half a year now and honestly it is like the best thing I’ve ever bought for pc gaming. I always hated how clunky keyboards were so my solution originally was to get a mouse with more buttons. However there weren’t any good light mice with a decent amount of buttons besides cheap ones and really heavy ones (shoutout to the Logitech g300s and the roccat nice that even came close).
    When I found out about it I literally bought it same day and when I got it I knew that I would never play another game on keyboard again. Originally I wasn’t sold on the idea of the joystick, but it really is indistinguishable for me from keyboard movement when it’s on wasd and you use the restrictor ring it gives you, except now I have complete freedom to move any direction I was while using any ability, equipment, etc.

    Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it very much and I think you have opened my mind. I've been a consoler all my life. Playing on my sister's pink GameBoy, the PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PS3, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S... 1 year ago I dared to take the step and play on my "PC". It's a laptop with a crappy GTX 950m graphics card 😂😭and frankly, I liked the idea. The fact is that I like to have absolute freedom with my game, play the game with the peripheral that I want and there are more reasons... Like not having to depend on a subscription. and pay the "online" when my parents are paying for the Internet and tomorrow. I will also have to pay for Internet access. The best thing on PC is the issue of prices in video games. On console it is absurdly expensive and there are no competitive sales nor is there an extensive catalog of sales. Games like Monster Hunter World or The Witcher collection or Ryse Son of Rome, etc. I calmly play those games with a controller. In Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Doom 2016, Doom Eternal, etc. I prefer to play with keyboard and mouse. It is much more comfortable to use the mouse. The keyboard not so much because the main reason you say in the video. Move the character with "WASD" and at the same time activate other types and make more combinations... It is very difficult. You feel clumsy because you get confused with the keys, you have no muscle memory and still... I have been playing with the integrated keyboard on my laptop for 1 year and 3 months with my Wooting Two HE. I still get confused sometimes and I really missed the analog control. That's why I bought the Wooting Two HE! 😂 And it has not convinced me much. Maybe it's because the switch travel on the key is not long enough or I don't know... I still get confused with the keys and it's overwhelming at times. I really liked how you explained in the video and understanding the purpose of the keypads, especially this one. Being a console player who takes the step to the PC, do you recommend its purchase? I am hopeful so. And I could go to the trouble and save because the Wooting Two HE is not cheap at all. It's a great keyboard but the analog function... May not be worth it for everyone xd
    Edit.: I'm sorry, I forgot to mention one thing and that is apparently. The Azeron Cyborg reminds me a lot of the Wii Remote. In the left hand you had a nunchuk to control the analog stick and in the right hand, another nunchuk that you control and aim with your hand, isn't it essentially the same thing? Azeron keypad with analog stick + mouse.

    Instead of changing the keybinds on the Azeron software for every game, I would change the games keybinds to what you have bound on the Azeron. That way, the game is your profile and you don't have to set up a new profile for every game. The only exception i'd say is that you'd have 2 profiles for games that support joysticks, vs ones that you need to use wsad

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  6 месяцев назад

      Wow. I'm actually coming out with a new follow-up video and I came to the exact same conclusion with keeping your keybinds the same and just having a WASD/Controller variant.
      I spent a good chunk of time tinkering with which keys would be most likely used in the largest number of games I've had a slot of success with my profile so far rarely having to adjust more than a few of the default keybinds.

    I love my Azeron Compact but there are some annoyances. Took me around 30 hours to get used to it and another 20 to find an optimal setup for most FPS ganes. Only very few games allow simultaneous usage of mouse and azeron controller mode. Other games constantly switch the UI. For this reason I stick with the WASD mode for almost all games.
    Would love a wireless version.

    I always see the same comment on these. "Just use a keyboard".... For me missed keys, fat fingers, losing my place on the keyboard all a struggle for years. Could not get it using a controller either. I have been using the Azeron Compact for about a month now to play COD... MW, Cold War and Vanguard and I love it. Like any new device I was a little clumsy with it at first but quickly realized the potential after several Bot games to get it setup. My patience has definitely paid off. The software rocks and the joystick is exactly what I always imagined I needed once I got it setup. Anyone that has used one knows you can move, dodge, quick peek, strafe, throw tactical items, jump in any direction and so much more with just a flick of a finger or thumb movement on the joystick. Your fingers stay in pretty much a fixed position so you don't get lost or have to stretch, reach or move them into odd positions to reach a key. I can honestly say I have never seen so many end match "play of the game" videos featuring me since I got this. I give this keypad a ten out of 10!

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  6 месяцев назад

      Hey, I do not but I just came out with an updated Azeron video that might cover some things you're curious about. Specifically, on the new Cyborg and the old classic you can do literally anything else you want while moving around as those keybinds have nothing to do with your thumb moving the analog stick.

    • @UldisBiz
      @UldisBiz 6 месяцев назад

      BTW, for anyone interested, my Fortnite mechanics have gone lightyears ahead after I switched to my Cyborg. For me personally, it is a game changer. Can't imagine ever going back to the keyboard (and I own the infamous SteelSeries Apex Pro that pros use). I still suck terribly but it is not anymore due to my inability to reach all necessary keys and hit the right keys consistently (for 1,5 years I painfully tried to find keybinds that work for me on kb&m)... it's more due to my lack of awareness and poor game sense but that's not something any controller can help with.

  • @JapaneseCharacterNameMan
    @JapaneseCharacterNameMan 3 года назад +1

    I think the real secret weapon here would be learning to use aiming and shooting buttons on the Azeron as when you use them on the mouse you increase downward force you're applying to the mouse which makes it difficult and more inconsistent to move and adjust in combat, also people in intense moments often jerk the mouse off target when clicking because of their adrenaline. Binding those keys to the Azeron could eliminate both of those issues.

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  3 года назад

      I hear you, and in theory that would work given you have so many keybinds on the Azeron, but I'd only recommend trying something like this if you have no real PC gaming experience, because clicking with your right hand is so hardwired and ingrained by that point. Aim Training would be a better solution in that case. Console players though...I can definitely see it as potentially worthwhile.

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  2 года назад +3

      Sadly, no, the Azeron could really only be used in Controller mode, with you using the keys for WASD movement and set it to right analog for moving the camera around. Not all games support this, though, especially MMOs that are PC-based.

      Yes, there's no reason whatsoever for them to reject its usage, especially in WASD mode since at that point its just a super economical keyboard. It looks wild but once they understand what it is there shouldn't be any issue. The only exception would be tournaments that require you to use the stuff they provide for you, Fortnight comes to mind. I'm not sure if they would let you adjust/keybind the Azeron they provide for you before the match and while that may not be an issue for keyboards it def. is for Azeron. Still, this is just speculation I haven't heard of any case of the Azeron being flatly rejected from tournament play. Hope this helps!

      Still using it will make a new follow-up video on it soon. None of mine broke, though I did upgrade to the newer Cyborg version from the classic, and had the compact version prior to the classic so it wasn't just 1 device used the entire time. It is possible to configure each key. You could theoretically use the analog stick to cycle between 8 different keys at once but...it's...it's very, very difficult to do. I would say to stick with 4 keys max if using it for purposes outside of movement or 3 to be safe.

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  3 года назад +1

      It's durable, and the 3d printed pieces don't feel cheap or like they could break in anyway. The analog stick slowly drifting over time was the biggest thing I noticed outside of occasionally retightening the adjustment screws that hold everything in the place you want, but that's a controller analog problem in general and it's nothing like joy-con levels of drift and can be recalibrated in a way controllers cannot through software.
      It looks intimidating but it's just because the buttons curl around your hand and fingers ergonomically.

    Diagonal strafing isn’t a good thing. It shortens the distance that your enemy has to swing their crosshair to stay on target with you. I’ve been using them for about 3 years now, but am transferring over to traditional Kbm as the movement limitations re limiting my growth.

    • @VoidHunt

      I understand your perspective on this but I disagree. Speaking purely with a mouse here not applicable to controller: Most people use right handed mice, and not all mouse movements are equally easy to perform. Trying to aim at something that requires you to drag your mouse to your lower left quadrant is going to be far, far more difficult than someone you try to aim at that you can track just adjusting to the left in a straight line.
      Additionally, there's expectation. Your potential to incorporate diagonal strafes in situations everyone else is limited to standard strafing is a boon. You eventually get used to the momentum of characters, knowing just by the fact they're starting to move t the left now where they'll be in the timeespan it takes you to readjust your shot. Now they have to differentiate if you're moving fully to the left or diagonally.

      @@VoidHunt First and foremost I apologize for the length of this comment, but im pretty passionate about this, and ive own 5 azerons of every variation:
      It sounds like your talking about strafe speed variation. Which is exactly what I think is one of the reasons its bad. By strafing diagonally, from the perspective of your opponent you are moving slower. The only way this is an advantage is if you are dependent on them overflicking. Anyone with even a moderate level of mouse control will have an EASIER time tracking you, regardless of what direction you are traveling. It becomes even worse if you are strafing towards them, making your hitbox grow in size from your opponents perspective. Diagonal strafing also runs into issues when incorporated with cover. If you strafe diagonally out of cover, you have a longer time getting back into cover, and if you strafe diagonally forward in front of your cover, you may not be able to return at all. Remember its not about the distance your actually moving, its about what it looks like from your opponents point of view. If this were truly an advantage, people with keyboards would implement it(its literally just holding W or S and pressing A or D), as its actually easier to do due to the static positions of the keyboard matching 1 to 1 with the values that the game will actually produce unless its a game like fortnite that allows for 360 movement while also on keyboard. A thumbstick has many more physical positions than what can be represented in game. and while sure you can train your thumbstick angles, theres always the possibility of a missinput, where isnt really on a keyboard with something as simple as a diagonal strafe (holding WA and then WD) And youre not really limited in other keybinds. You only ever need two fingers on movement keys, and your thumb can reach literally any letter key while still pressing wasd. I have like 10 binds on my thumb if other fingers are preoccupied.
      Also I really really hate how the azeron introduces the centerpoint issue into movement (the reason the right thumbstick on controllers needs aim assist) Yes you touched on your video that you can AD spam as fast, but its not really about that, its mora about the speed in which calculated strafe aiming and strafe dodging can be made. Because a thumbstick will have to pass through the centerpoint before registering movement, it will never reach the speeds that a keyboard can in regards to reactive movement. Which is an objective disadvantage. This also effects aim, as the consistency of movement helps anchor your aim and movement synchronization.
      And I understand how having mouse clicks can make for faster actuation, but with keyboards like the wooting, highground, the Apex pro, all having adjustable actuation points of .1MM which is lower than that of the azeron, I wouldnt quite call this an advantage either.
      I will say the azeron is an amazing tool for intuitive understanding and comfort. Hands down the most comfortable gaming devices I own and in my opinion, THATS it advantage (damn near zero chance of developing RSI), not these mechanical ones the Azeron company have been claiming.
      And tbh, its market isnt even focused on that. For the azeron to be appealing, youd have to want to be on MNK (probably due to a lack of performance on controller, which means youre simply out of practice with the strength of aim assist in current titles) but you also dont feel proficient on a keyboard, as you stated in your video when you said you had issues pressing other buttons along with WASD. I too had these same issues until I just muscled through them, only to find out that none of the advantages I thought azeron gave me were actual advantages, it was just move comfortable due to my inexperience on a keyboard.
      When I spoke to a coach I hired who is in Voltaic, she described it as "from a competitive standpoint, Thats the worst parts of both inputs. the worst of both worlds" lol. When I began looking more into strafe theory, I really began to understand that thumbsticks are just at an inherent disadvantage for movement, even beyond just AD spam.Those finer adjustments matter, especially for any game with higher ttk.
      And lastly until Azeron allows for 3rd party parts and adjustments to their models it cant even begin to be a competitor against other gaming peripherals. When I did use them as my fulltime peripherals they would have many issues within the year, but lacked the ability to hotfix or replace easily. Serious controller players routinely need new controllers, and these are far more delicate than controllers.
      I think an azeron with buttons for movement could make waves, but at that point, just get a keyboard with a hand shaped PCB.

    is it possible to use this with only one hand

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  3 года назад

      I gave this some thought. I think the best bet for one-handed gaming is likely an ergonomic 'MMO' mouse with a bunch of buttons. Using the cursor and mouse will almost always be the most important for PC gaming, and moving with the MMO buttons, the scroll wheel, or however you decide to do it would be very possible, with all the other buttons for keybinds

    • @VoidHunt
      @VoidHunt  3 года назад

      On the other hand, you can also use the Azeron's stick as the 'aiming' stick for controllers and then use the middle keys for movement and the rest for other controller buttons. but this requires reWASD third party software for games that don't let you emulate controller while also using KB+M controls. Hope this helps!

    After taking 2 hours looking at game and setting up keybinds I wanted.... I was able to use all keybinds instantly with no problem in Guild Wars 2 ... but I bet not many can just set and forget them.
    I'm still trying to realize where I want the following buttons in GW2: you have 5 basic attacks, 5 utility skills and from 1 to 5 different abilities depending on Professions you are playing (F1 to F5) On top of that you need Jump, Dodge, Weapon Swap, Mount, Target enemy, Mark Target, Select Target, UnTarget, extra ability that you sometimes have and interact/loot button. That think that is buttons I want to setup. Where do I place jump once all my other keys are already full? You also want ESC somewhere, maps, inventory and some other option panels probably... At the moment I'm running Dodge, Jump and extra ability on mouse ... but that can have small problems ... then again it is not FPS so the mouse movement probably is not a problem :D
    TL;DR: It took me 0 seconds to remember and use my own keybindings after setuping them my self.
