Next week I intend to upload a video covering the many aspects of tarkov PvE. Should be a good time. Also, I'm thinking about starting a second channel where I upload other games.

The thing about Tarkov is that 80% of the playerbase are addicted in the literal sense of the word, trying to get the same dopamine rush they got 2000 hours of playtime ago
Ich blas mir den Schädelinhalt aus‘m Kopf.
sweet taste of addiction
I'm more amazed that such addicted people still can withstand 5min load times and the horrible latency. Personally, I couldn't.
Yep cause I still keep coming back
Ack
Yeah the fighting and looting is quite literally like gambling but the game is all about risk so not a shock
Most changes only happened after they messed up PR wise. It goes to prove that many QOL changes are held back when times are good. I don’t have time for that, hence why I play SPT with friends.
Yeah, I hate that. Inertia and FiR (I’d add locked room loot to thay list) have been issues for YEARS.
I wonder how many QoL tweaks they’re still sitting on. Labs still feels awful to play for most of the playerbase, so there’s that. They tried to make it free to enter for the event, but they can’t allow THAT much fun.
All of their changes were mimicking ABI. ABI doesn't have fog like tarkov does, ABI has a trophy room (lul), abi has no inertia so they lowered it. ABI lets you post up to 500 listings with ulimited slots to post them a week, tarkov gave everyone a well much needed and overdue 2 extra slots (still should be more). Who's copying who now?
@@Angstadilliowhat’s ABI?

Yeah, bro. With SPT we get all the QoL features we want.
We have Escaped!
SPT saved this game for me. It allowed me to play at my own pace and add enough to fix many of the problems I have with it. Even the 'no pvp' is a non-issue with bots that act like humans would with SAIN. I'm really glad it has gotten the attention it deserves lately.
They don't act like humans. They act like bots, with predictable patterns.
@@ForOne814so do you.
@@ForOne814 do you just sit here and bash on spt without doing anything else?
@@jackfruit420 yes. It is entertaining, and it's good English practice. What, do you expect a Tarkov player to have a job or responsibilities?
@@TabiTheCat I mean, sure. But how often does my average opponent fight me? Like once ever? But you can learn every possible bot behavior quite quickly, because you are exposed to them that often.
I was waiting over 20 minutes to get into PVE, ended up just alt-F4

Lmao, just play SPT dude
The best thing about this scandal is that it brought a lot of people to SPT, including me. I couldn’t play the last few months because of school, and I won’t be able to start the next wipe because of work. Without SPT I could never fully experience this game I paid 150€ for.

No, a lot of the cheaters got hit with bans due to the biggest cheat on Tarkov (the one goat used in his video) got detected twice and have gotten their user base destroyed due to it. The other cheats barely last as long (6 months at best compared to this one which was going on 2 years)
I've escaped Tarkov, quite literally. That place has nothing to offer to me except frustration. I'm happier picking up trash in the streets and seeing a clean neighborhood.

Coming back after being away for two wipes. Completely blown away by how well the gunplay feels even with unmodded guns.
Same, didn't play it in a long time. Best it's ever been if you ask me.
That's the sad part. It was all going so well for Tarkov, and now was probably the best time for new players to join the game...
And they killed all our trust in one fell swoop.
@@mrstorch5068 I dunno bro. I play it for fun not because I am putting my trust into anyone. I been playing it for years and I never even bought the EOD. It's just a game that I find fun.
@Imperial_Boltgun
Same here. Love the game.

i played since the start of this wipe, the first 2 weeks were like the best tarkov experience i had since like 2019

i lasted like a week and dropped it cause anger was getting unbearable
The next wipe is gunna be the most important wipe to date, it'll be the real show of how the game is doing drama be damned. Player retention is gunna be BSG's greatest enemy to fight, a game can't survive if it only has a player base for a month every six months
The game has been surviving this way for 8 years.
@@ForOne814 no offense but given the recent addition of micro transactions into the game that wasn't supposed to ever have them, I don't think it's in the healthiest survival position. Without player retention instead of a healthy player base all Tarkov has is a healthy cheater base
ABI isn't even available for the public yet when that happens that's the real test
@@Eclipsle they should've added them years ago, it's insane that they waited for so long.
With microtransactions, it's in a better survival position than without.
Player retention is important at the start of the wipes, not during them. Plenty of seasonal games exist. Like, more seasonal than Tarkov. WoW, for example. Most people only play for like a month at the start of the new expansion, then the more persistent playerbase plays at the start of major patches. Very few people stay all the way through. It's healthy to have that if your game is built around that.
@@ForOne814 wow has a monthly subscription. It's creator also didn't promise in multiple interviews over multiple years that micro transactions were never going to be added to the game. If Tarkov wanted to go that route they should have from the start. Also, they have chosen to find their game through players pre purchasing the title, they choose to avoid having investors like typical game development. It shouldn't be on the players to be expected to keep the game afloat due to the game developers own decisions. Not every game needs or should have micro transactions, it shouldn't take 8 years to realize servers cost money to operate or employees need to keep getting paid
Here's a friendly reminder that we never actually got a real apology from Nikita.

Love the "Attention Retention Corner" 😆
I absolutely hate it. Go watch some sensory video for cats or something. Tarkov is for team autism not team ADHD.
it took me 2 minutes before I found it lol
Brainrot has consumed us all lol
Thanks for the attention retention corner , helps me feel centered after tarkov ....
You hit all the points myself and my friends are talkin about wanting to see change, Great video!
I only exist in SPT now, Live has nothing for me that I can't mod in myself. Actually got time to do that event everyone rushed to do this wipe when it comes around. The lazy bastards probably have a giant list of fixes ready to go for Tarkov, but sit on them like Activision does whenever something goes wrong with Overwatch and they need good PR. In good conscious, I cannot just waltz back in like nothing happened. I want BSG to learn, and if that includes failing as a company, so be it.
I quit 3 years ago...my crack is watching people comment "game dead" "i quit" just to see them back on day 1 of wipe
The attention retention corner worked way better than expected
3:00 If you're curious about the cheating problem being a lesser one than usual it's due to the biggest cheat being detected twice a month apart which has caused a lot of users of that cheat to get banned and doubt their customers are willing to purchase a cheat + spoofer from them incase they get detected again next month.
While I don't think BSG will be able to reclaim what it lost as far as image and player count is, the game has many years in its future as long as they don't continue to take a huge dump on its player base - which admittedly may be hard for them. They do enjoy crapping all over their players and anyone with constructive criticism. I find it telling that after the trial of Arena breakout is the most they have ever listened to the community and provided clarity on their own actions than anytime in all of Tarkovs history.
It depends how long they will support the game with new content. But let's face it, some players will never stop playing this game.
actually i don't think it has years, their plan after release is just a couple of DLC's, question is will they even have many updates after release? It feels like nowadays any MP game without constant updates dies within months, and I'm sure they won't force such a strict schedule with them as they did with wipe updates. I'm not sure how much time tarkov even has now, we don't now, maybe it'll be okay, but i feel like we're at the end of the road almost. it's okay either way, it's got pve now, game will be accessible still.
@@1DanteadamS1 I actually like this point. The best way to see the health of the game is how it does two wipes from now. That will show us just how far it falls.
I got banned a few weeks ago and never cheated. I had an EOD with 2k hours
@@SMURFF707 The problem is I can see them ban players intentionally that are not cheating to see if they will purchase a new account. Anything to make up for their HUGE failure with Tarkov Arena.
I love the attention retention corner, knowing full-well I'm gonna be doing chores while listening to this (as it was intended)
Cheaters being "playable" is not an excuse for them still being basically unpunnished, despite the game running on your PC as badly coded malware under admin priviliges with RCE vulnerability being open to the Internet. It's not that no other games are like that (even Ubisoft and EA realease shit like that), but it's so annoying that nobody sees that as a big fking issue.
Another day another retard crying about BattlEye being "malware"
RCE vuln? Absolute bullshit, buddy.
I love the attention retention corner, easily best video ever of all time
In almost every way, Single Player Tarkov is a more enjoyable experience than online. No cheaters, no desync, and I can play co-op with my friends. I encourage anyone who steps away from the game but still misses the feeling Tarkov provides to give SPT a try.
just to be clear, not bsg's coop, but the spt mod (free).
It already died in my heart
yeah, same
Looks like you’ve been working out dude! Good on ya 👍🏽
I appreciate you taking step back from the drama and looking at the whole situation in a more grounded manner. A lot of the videos covering bsg’s recent shitty decisions were really blowing things out of proportion claiming that Tarkov is “officially dead now” and just hoping on the hype wagon and I will always appreciate someone taking the time to think the situation through and give their honest opinions.
BSG impossible challenge: don’t piss off the playerbase😂
Bro I was lost in the gameplay. And listening to you and it wasnt until like 3 minutes in and I noticed the “attention retention corner” and it made me chuckle.
The part about the change found in raid making you willing fight is 100% facts, I found red keycard yesterday on streets and stayed in raid another 20 minutes instead of hightailing to extract.
This has always been true. This was mainly used to combat hatchet runners, which in my opinion weren't an issue anyway, especially after the updates that both tagged and cursed them and dropped their ability to run at mach 5. All it did was make the average - shitty players completely unwilling to risk a fight if they found good loot. So youd have people either immediately tail it to the exit using the safest path they knew, or find a place to sit until theres 5 minutes left on the timer and book it to exit.
(though, it is ironic that you can do that now that red cards are vendor loot lol)
Thumb'd up for consistent attention retention
*Interaction*
I like the yappy vids, playing scav raids while typing up paperwork with you chatting is chill.
l have been playing erry day since the "DRAMA" started and have seen ZERO change in the time it takes to get in a raid and all my raids have been as normal as ever - prices of some things have gone up on the flea and some have dropped a bit but other than that if ya didnt know about the DRAMA you would never know anything had changed except the patch notes
The friend I play with reminded me yesterday that we have access to PVE mode cause we're both EOD and it has honestly been really fun.
Love your fir recommended changes 👌🏻
your attention retention corner did its job, my dopamine receptors are fried. a tip for next time put some subway surfers gameplay too
just saw that they are adding single upgrades like stash upgrades alone on the site for just a few bucks, definitely on the right track there
To be fair, the first week of a wipe feels like a completely different game because everyone needs to move around for quests, almost nobody has the resources for extended fights (not getting 5 grenades thrown at you for existing near a hotzone) and the density of cheater is (hopefully) at its lowest.
me and the boys are having insane fun on Dorms Customs, literally 1 of the best Wipes since Inertia was added...
wow....best overall video resuming the state of tarkov lately! Congrats and thanks
Great video, thx
I was quite good at aiming during the hip fire/bad ads meta. I still feel like I can compete just as fine with the aim changes, but previously it felt like I was at an advantage while everyone else was at a disadvantage haha
“As someone who remembers Ferrari peek’s , a little inertia is a good thing.”
So many of my friends attempt to clown on me for this take. In more games than just tarkov. Siege has this issue so badly that you die to a single pixel of someone’s elbow because it has zero inertia and your guns bullets come out of your character’s eyes.
Honestly I like your take on this the way you explain everything like an actual adult not crying like many others. Thank you for your patience and content.
For me personally at this stage of the wipe the thing that gets me back and excited to play are these special events with long term rewards unfortunately I’ve ran out of time on both of them due to being military but I still try them and I got very close to completing this one. Like I’m level 39 I think and I know I don’t have enough time to make it to max traders with the small amount of time I can play so there’s no real point to play otherwise. I do help buddies from time to time but many of them are in the same mindset as me.
HOPE IT will soon
i love how i just watched half of the video before i realized what the "Attention Retention Corner" is xD
I personally love Tarkov but with the recent mishaps from BSG i just don't want to put any time into a game that could crumble due to the incompetence of Nikita.
I tried playing a few months ago. During my first and only scav run I asked myself “what am I doing?”, abandoned the raid and uninstalled the game. Haven’t reinstalled it since and at this point the only thing that could bring me back would be a true single player mode (I’m not paying for the unheard edition)
I love new background
My EFT fire has died down to the size of a candle but that’s alright. I still keep up with it with SPT-AKI and I’m ok with that.
It will be hard competing against a free to play game that does things better than their expensive game with a lot of years since public release. BSG can't just improve the game a little, they will have to overhaul the game into a banger worth the price tag. Right now the only people who will say buying Tarkov is worth it bought it already and are suffering from sunk cost fallacy, or they are addicted to the masochist gameplay (and to the good feeling of saying you play a more "hardcore" game)
facts
got to the 8 minute mark until i realized i have been staring at that attention retention corner all the time so i can listen...
I really like this type of video from you, you are not holding back but you are fair. You give good constructive criticism and solutions to problems. Keep it up, the content is great
I’ve moved onto 100% SPT… don’t have many friends who still play and the modding makes it an amazing game
I was waiting for a spinning cat or like one of those videos of sand being cut to start being added to the corner
Who would have thought: competition is never bad
Even if Tarkov doesn't die, they won't get another cent from most of the playerbase after the unheard debacle.
ya nope I cant in good faith give them any money EOD was the Utimate edition.. whats this Niki's D in your mouth Edition....
Not sure how it looks for you, but when i go to flea market I see almost as many unhead badges as I saw EOD badges 4-5 years ago. Not to say that I approve it, but denying it seems ridiculous to me
@@alexanderaphonin7850 Couldn't tell you, like many other EoD owners that I personally know, I haven't touched the game since Unheard was announced

Here are 4 problems that stop me from installing tarkov again:
1. When you get stacked upon stacked, the only way to get to extract is to use a mule stim, now if you have gamma, you always have plenty of space in the secure container for a mule or injector case, but if you play with standard edition and personally I've never got epsilon container, i always end up at beta container, this space is so valuable that many times i choose not to bring a mule because of how rare those stacked moments are, and when i do have a moment like that, I either can't extract at all, I can extract so slow that anyone with a pm pistol can easily kill me, or I have to drop high value loot in order to make it to extract, and this just ruins those moments for me, every time i have those moments and I'm moving at snail's pace, I think to myself: BSG really ruined the game by having you use 100k and a slot in the secure container to punish you for doing extremely good in a raid, this is so bad that when I get 3+ kills and I can loot, I'm actually extremely anxious because I know that once i have all that loot on me, I'm a very easy target and have a very high chance of getting killed
solution: weight maxes at a certain point where bringing more gear doesn't affect it, going in very stacked still hurts your playstyle but does not completely remove the ability to walk properly
2. Even before the unheard edition, the game was clearly pay to win, before i start I have to define pay to win by what it means in tarkov, in tarkov, there are several ways to "Win" in the game, including: getting kills in a raid, getting lots of loot in a raid, getting high value loot in a raid, having alot of money built up, progressing fast on your quests, having a fun time with friends or players in game, and upgrading your account (stash, secure container, hideout). I've played 1000+ hours on standard and 300+ hours on EOD, if I had to compare the 2 experiences, I would start out with describing how constricting playing on standard was, a 4 slot container and level 1 stash is absolutely miserable, the max i've ever upgraded was to stash 3 and beta container (though i got very close to epsilon) and I admit I'm not a good player, really i should have gotten epsilon a while ago, but I have to play with alpha for atleast one month before i get beta, and beta is still too small compared to just getting gamma from day 0 to end of wipe with no effort, you literally save so much money over time if you use gamma instead of alpha/beta because of the meds you can put in the case instead of outside, and this includes high value items found in raid, lets say I have a grizzly and cms kit in my beta, if i find a lion, I lose about 60k rubles compared to if a gamma user had an efficient arrangement with an AFAK and cms, where they can lose 0 rubles, or the fact that I would have to think about every single slot on my beta, where a gamma user can freely throw in a mule and 2 stacks of ammo without a care in the world, truly this doesn't matter because i can do 1 scav raid, but to be constricted by this only because i didn't spend more money for so much convenience hurts, also as a casual player it's impossible to get stash 4, and gamma gets it for free, the same logic applies there, it's so convenient that it's pay to win because of the game's design
solution: find other ways to make money (gun and clothing cosmetics, first person gun skins) + make gamma be able to be obtained by standard users on a completely separate questline to epsilon, and make both epsilon and gamma easier to obtain
3. Horrible AI design: have you ever been made fun of because you died to a scav? I've been on both sides of this, first - if a scav is in close range, they are so easy to kill, factory scavs are the easiest scavs in the game to kill, and that's how they are supposed to be, but if you go to a map like woods, a scav can see you in the open, then you or him to into a bush and the scav and STILL see you, so scavs have thermal vision all the time, if you are in the wrong situation when this happens, you are extremely screwed, this doesn't include the fact that the scav can be really far away from you and still hit accurately, and if you don't have a scope, you're done for, now this all isn't too bad, but when you get bosses like tagilla, if you fight them, instantly a billion scavs start following you, please let me just fight the boss, not the entire population of the factory scavs, you would think you are good when you kill tagilla then you get absolutely swarmed, this is also bad when you are a scav minding your business, see tagilla and get swarmed by scavs and die, because that was definitely your fault, also rogues HAVE to be cheesed in order to be able to kill them, there is no way you can treat any of the ai like players - not even a little bit, if you are a bear and you peek 0.1 mm from a rock, you are instantly sniped by a rogue's machine gun, the only way to prevent that from happening is to get a raid where no scavs shot the rogues or snipe them from a hill filled with 1000 landmines on a 30 fps map
solution: be a decent game developer with a functional brain
4. This is a simple one, you need atleast 1000 dollars to spend on a computer in order to play every map except streets at 60 fps, lighthouse and streets are complete optimization failures on the part of BSG, there comes a point where it's the company's fault, not the computer of the user's part, there is no way you can make a map like lighthouse, then learn nothing from that and make a gigantic map, claiming that it will run well, and it's crazy how little backlash they have gotten for doing this, I want to play streets but if I get into any pvp situation, I will be absolutely ran over, so I'm just supposed to ignore a map where a numerous amounts of quests and loot exist on? Thanks BSG for making me have to get a nasa computer in order to complete a portion of the quests in your game, really nice.
solution: remove all quests from streets, maybe optimize the actual game instead of spending all your money on arena?
Bonus: the fact that they made it so you HAVE to go to ground zero in order to progress, please BSG let me decide how I want to play the game and not force this (arguably bad) map down my throat
So I do agree with everything but I can say for pay to win is the wrong word, the proper word should be pay for convenience. While I don't have a direct pvp advantage for having a larger butt pouch, it does make things more convenient. After you get salewas unlocked or craftable you just run them every raid in your rig keep your good ammo in a stack or 2 in your butt with a docs case for keys and maybe move the ammo out if you find something valuable. When I think of pay 2 win and this is going back a few years it was always something that gave you a direct advantage over your opponents, in siege there was one skin that let you blend into 60% of the maps walls, in phone games it made you stronger or allowed you to have additional builders. THough P4C is less frowned upon than P2W.

Ooh, new Levi.
Been an on and off player for four years. Got eod after the first wipe so I could have some QoL. Not sure I’m ever coming back after this tbh. Tarkov doesn’t occupy my brain in a way that makes me beholden to their game. It was an addictive way to play with friends and I have so much more that we play now from gray zone to helldivers, even Diablo is pretty good now. That last one probably won’t last though lol.
Change "found in raid" to "bought from traders" to limit trader/flea flipping 👍
Prior to the Unheard debacle, I was a consistent player. By far, my best wipe. Got almost all lvl 3 traders, and bitcoin farm. Felt really good to get that far. Looking forward to next wipe, and maybe playing pve after they released it to EOD
I think you made great points with each topic you covered. I'm certainly one of those people who are fed up with tarkov and the nonsense coming from bsg. This coming wipe will be hard to resist, but I'm hoping to be one of the lucky souls who can beat the odds. I've got SPT for gameplay and you for content. Hopefully that's enough lol
the best thing about vid is - its 8 min - exacly how much l need to finish cooking my lasagna
Might go and see what ABI is like, but having tried GZW and marauders, I can say there really is not a lot of options that are like Tarkov in the market, and I've been pumping so many doses of it into my veins that I'm thoroughly addicted.
Perhaps I'll go with SPT in tandem as well
10/10 yap sesh +W attention retention corner
looting to near maximum pmc weight is almost impossible to survive in online for me because half the lobby is lvl 5 with 10 hours, meta armor and meta weapons they cant even unlock the grip for. 😢
I've run into hackers more this wipe than any other wipe and I play on NA servers. I think it really depends on your playstyle if you notice them or not. I don't notice them as much when I'm just running around shooting everything, because when I die I just assume I got outplayed and/or they heard me coming from a mile away and were ready for me. But when I'm being a little rat I notice it a ton. The amount of people who'll just prefire or toss a grenade into the place I've been hiding for 5-10 minutes without making a sound makes it a lot easier to spot who's using ESP. Not to mention the stupid amount of hackers I see who've obviously tanked their stats and haven't been banned is just sad.
ghosts of tabor has been getting pretty good lately for those who have vr
I am one of those who play this game since 2017 and really look forward for the changes they made in the near past. But honestly... I am also one of the players with a big FPS problem on maps like Streets and Lighthouse. My wipes look all the same. Having fun until like Lv. 35ish and then playing the game not against AI or players but the low FPS i get bevause i have to do all the quests on these two maps. Then my interest fades and I wait for the next wipe to do the same thing again just to hope something changes but I already know I get the same experience again. Thats my love-hate relationship with this game. Even with all the things going on right now I think we get a game that is worth to have some more trust in it. We will see :)
I've really enjoying it
I'm just waiting for the May reset
I've been having a great time with SPT + Fika (a co-op mod). All the pluses without all of the minuses. And mods!
wait did they actually remove found in raid required for flea market?
I played consistently since 2017 and stopped playing when unheard released after getting tired of getting screwed by bsg and haven’t even cared or thought to launch the game again. It’s wild.
If only we got some competition for that type of game, maybe they would be more cautious with their playerbases
Was just wondering about this! I'm hoping that this whole fiasco has made BSG sweat bullets and reevaluate their treatment of their player base FOR ONCE, though I don't have incredibly high hopes that they learn the right lessons from this. It may just reinforce the idea that as long as you keep quiet and hand out some cookies, any poor business/PR decisions will eventually blow over.
Definitely a valid yapping take hopefully with arena breakout being the competition it will help Tarkov improve better and so forth
I am 100% convinced that his is linus from linus tech tips
I only play arena now. Mabey one day I’ll play EFT again
Hearing FiR is gone makes me want to play the game again. I hated the FiR changes, it tried to force people to use the stuff they got but all that happened is people felt pressure to hoard and frustration in inventory management as a result. This change makes me happy.
If they made flir more laggy and harder to use it would be awsome.
I think one of the most important things they can change are preventing the need to tab out of the game for a map or quest info the in-game map needs to give better info like your location and the location of extracts, landmarks , doors and the general location of quests and what door needs what key would be a big help to new players or those that get lost easily and if it's a map where you have to discover locations before they show up on the map it would bring more exploration/completion to the game and could even have an achievement for discovering all the the locations.
The wipe has been the best there was technically and balance-wise, and I have not run into cheaters, probably 1 or 2 only. However the latest controversies have steered me away from the game, and I can't bother to play actively anymore
Bro on pvp mode i want to do the new questline and shoreline which is needed for some quests is impossible to q and so is Streets
yes
Me with my cracked SPTarkov on 12.12.32 is not seeing a problem
Unrelated to the video topic but that squad wipe was clean.
I appreciate it but it’s PvE. So those were like raider AI
@@leviticus1132 On second watch I definitely see it 💀💀
0:04 jokes on you i do that for most videos. Tbf I watch it normally first for most
"Attention retention corner" 💀💀 that's sad.
Why does the attention retention corner actually work 😔
"Attention Retention Corner" love it🤣
While struggling to finally finish the event on Customs yesterday, I died 3 times minimum to incredibly obvious cheaters... For those who definitely aren't cheaters, I turn a corner and get basically instantly headshot, or their meta ammo shreds even a Korund. So I've literally regressed to using early wipe grub kits because I'm dying all the time anyway, despite the fact that early wipe, my PMC K/D was about 3... Maybe only people left are hyperchads, I dunno.
