Shooter bored in heaven is the perfect example of why you shouldn't develop your game based on how fast a streamer progresses through it. Not everyone can play 16h per day.
Last wipe (my fifth at the time) I have overcome myself and finished SBIH, Tarkov shooter 8 and Psycho Sniper, as I have never done those before. A week later I stopped playing until the recent wipe. Those quests almost made me throw up multiple times, and I don't even know why I persisted - totally not worth it, they juiced me like a lemon. Kappa keeps getting further and further away with every update, so to me as a quest-oriented player, there is less and less interest remaining. Thinking about taking a break until there are no more wipes.
@@ahealthkit2745 their whole point is slowing down player progression. Players on average won't even reach lvl 40 by end of wipe, while streamers will get Kappa 18 times in three months, get bored and switch to other games. The system is bad for most of the player base, and it's toxic and dumb.
@@Jaderrun I'm a quest oriented player too pretty much all I do is quest and forcing me to stay in the same place for 30 minutes looking at birds is very boring. Shooter 8 by the time I reach it its almost rng cause no one plays woods like a month into a wipe and if someone goes woods it's either a timmy trying to get the blood from the van or a chad with an altyn and thermals.
Generally seeing people unhappy over quests brings me some slight happiness but seeing ALL the quests that are bad in the game & hearing anecdotes of people suffering from them, feels bad man
I know exactly what u mean. At first it's like "haha, that sure sucked didn't it guys" but now I'm questioning how I pulled over 1,000 hours in a game with worse quests than my middle school dnd dungeon master. Shit like this is why I'd never bother with Kappa.
Quite honestly every quest in this game becomes unberable given the fact you need to redo them every wipe. For me quests are more of an unpleasant necessity and they give the impression that they are the least thought through part of the game.
This is the exact reason why I skip this wipe. I've been doing the same quests over and over since 2017. This wipe just doesn't offer enough new stuff to keep me redoing the quests. I wish I could just progress to 42 without doing the quests for once. I'm a bit burned out.
This is my 4 Wipe and I'm struggling to do quests cause I got burnout last wipe, I don't have the energy to grind those quests again except the ones required to unlock stuff
It is my sixth wipe right now, and someone asked me the other night what my favorite weapon is. I realized that I don't really know because I either run guns that I am required to run, or I run other players' guns that I picked up while running the required guns. Not much choice in the matter, huh? And we're supposed to be playing videogames because they are fun and entertaining, buy the crappy quest system has slowing down progress (and resetting it) as its main goal.
@@Jaderrun Seconded, it makes me so sad to just look at the cool guns collecting dust in my stash because I have to run a bolty again to try and get my sniper skill to level 3, then I have to run shotguns for some other quest, THEN it's back to snipers for grinding to psycho sniper. My biggest issue is having to grind out 5-6 levels of the worst gun type in the game, can you tell?
@@danimals2000 well, that particular one is easily solved. You bring a Mosin as a secondary, a stack of T-46M, go through that stack reloading while moving to wherever you need to be on the map, discard Mosin in a bush -> +2.2 Sniper skill per raid
thank god for daily quests from jaeger like "find milk" or "find fuel".. handing over milk or empty fuel can for a little bit of rep is nice. I killed scavs without body armor, dehydrated myself, did tarkov shooter part 1 and 2, the iskra and water bullshit inside the bunkers.. now i just need to reach lvl5 vitality and with that quest i will be sitting at 0.50 rep with him which is enough for maxing him out and then i'm 1000% sure i won't do anything for him until next wipe. Also prapor and his tank battery can suck my AK barrel...
@@lutscher7979 i've seen people loot two from one drop not long time ago but when i get to loot the drop it's always medical :) Literally 100% I havent played a lot this wipe tbh.
10 pages of people convinced it's THEM who will get their shitty key bought for dorms marked is surreal. You just casually browse flea and say "hell, there are 100 people with expiring barters who want to sell sanitar's room key for dorms marked, i guess i'll put the same barter up!". Copium shit.
Most annoying part for nearly every one of these quests is the rewards are usually so pitiful that it just does not feel worth it to keep doing them but you just have to.
For anyone looking for help with Spa Tour part 1, I suggest bringing a double barrel loaded with slugs as a secondary. Same goes for the scav kills needed for Punisher part 4
just load magnum fuckshoot to any shotgun you aim in somewear around head and you hit it also punisher 4 12 gauge on woods is OP becose most n00bs have long range so you push them and f*ck them
Kappa is most sadistic quest of all on the end road. You have to do all torture to get 3 or 4 slots in secure container. You do it every wipe all over again. Literally the definition of Insanity.
Shoreline needs a complete rework. There is like 3 places of interest on the entire fucking map and the rest is open field where you never know if some deepshit is siting under the bush for 30 minutes with .366 BP-M
>deepshit is siting under the bush for 30 minutes with .366 BP-M Camping is the only way to play shoreline if you don't know spawns and\or got a shitty spawn yourself. Some of the spawns are death traps.
@@AyoKeito you can still play it right if you sit around waiting for someone to come by you never going to improve and will keep sitting in a bush because you are scared that someone will see you first imo since thats the way the game works just learn the spawns and try getting them first or just back out and go around them
I've personally, after 700 hours, gotten beyond tired of having to do the quests to unlock standing with the traders and certain items. I wish you could take the Cycle's approach and just earn standing with them for buying and selling items. The current quest system is extremely RNG based, and it's easy to get soft locked out of progress. I know this may change when they put the main campaign in, but for now, I've been taking a break.
Epic tip for doing BS for skier: go at night, bring a KS23 with flash rounds, and most importantly bring like 10 green smokes the scavs just sit in the smoke and don’t Aggro onto you
I absolutely despise Shoreline with every ounce of my being. And now that they nerf carry weight even more that map is just a walking simulator with guns wizzling in the background. The loot there is too spread out to actually warrant a stash run and the map annoying funnel you into a few choke point across the middle section when you eventually made your way to the extract. Sure the village is a good place for keys run but the other side is just a big ass field of nothingness where everyone ran to weather station, resort or pier for quests. If you want to do stash run, just bloody run Interchange or Woods if you are scared of running into people. I only ever go on Shoreline for quests and even then it just too much. It doesn't help that all the Shoreline quest are just the epitome of boring and bad quests design.
Also a lot of spawns are just target practice for PMCs with long ranged guns. Last time i did punisher part 4 i just said fuck it and done naked runs with shotgun to weather station. Lie there on 2nd floor opposite side of safe and afk camp people who go there to loot. If you get there fast enough you're almost guaranteed 1 kill per raid with the game in background. Extract camping is also an option but not a lot of people live longer than 5 minutes to even attempt extracting lol.
Man the extreme hatred for this map is insane, honestly it's unpopularity does it favours in Australia you get lobbies in shoreline with only like a few extra people making it a very good training ground for new players and very easy to get resort loot. Sanitar is a fun fight too.
I did terragroup employee on Labs, and I did it first try. I literally waited until i had 3 mins left to extract. It’s such a stupid quest since you can’t die with that sliderkey. If you do, you need to spend 300k again since sanitary room has a one use only key
I quit tarkov after one wipe (the last one), but you're the only tarkov youtuber I still watch just because how entertaining and interesting you make the vids. Love them.
@@NvgFilms I tried playing this wipe too, but there's just too many things I hate about the game, so I quit because it's just not enjoyable. (The thing I hate the most are the quests)
1: Ragman quest Big Sale is annoying, because it has to be done in one go. Even if you want to say "game hard, get good" the problem is you get it as his first quest, then run around the mall, and avoid or kill the gigachads running around the mall while you are just trying to travel around. It's crap. Plus why in the lore couldn't you just scout one or two of the stores then leave then come back? 2: Farming could be buffed by making it required to make your own bitcoin farm. Like maybe he gives you what you need to make your first one, or just is required and he teaches you how to then make Farming part 5 but the quest is just getting what you need to make your farm, then you make it. I don't know something like that makes sense to me.
quest is actually pretty easy, just go night time. if you do it early on you aren't gonna encounter much people. but right now people are doing chumming, trying to get pmc kills there at night.
@@skizmondo It does have to be done in one raid, as of this wipe. You most likely didn't notice because you didn't die doing it. I got it done in one run, my buddy died in an altercation at the last store, and had to re-do the whole thing again as everything reset. It now has the same quest flags as Colleagues. In fact, most quests that are "Go into a few places and report back to me" have changed to Colleagues-style quests.
@@skizmondo it does on this wipe. I thought I was completing it, survived multiple raids hitting one or two stores at a time, getting the little pop up each time. Then checked my task log and it was back to 0 after surviving. It didn't use to be on previous wipes based on what I've seen online but at some point they changed it
The real rewards of farming part 3 are locked behind the next couple of quests that it unlocks, yeah you have to give him 3 gpus, but the 2 quests it unlocks require you to give him easy to find items and have really good rewards
I understand I'm probably missing out on a few things by not doing a majority of these quest, but once I get the flea open, I just kind of do my own thing. I like looting, I like shooting and I like selling. I'm fine doing all those things and avoiding quest all together. Some of these quest are just mind blowingly horrible. I'm just waiting for one to come out saying "Collect urine sample from all map bosses without killing them, while wearing nothing but the pompom. While dehydrated. With 1 health. And broken legs."
--- More than likely all these "quests" are only there to showcase the gameplay-features, especially the "dehydration" and "pain"-related tasks. Like sure, there is lore and some worldbuilding too. But otherwise they just simply works as a driving force alongside as a "flex" to more luckier players ( unless of course one plays the "offline"-version of this game in order to prevent not other players to mess your progress; "Tarkov" after all is practically a single-player-game with online-portion slapped on it ). I for one wouldn't be surprised if the task / quest-system would be something akin to dynamic "World Events" in the final version of the game where outposts and other areas between the "maps" would make all sorts of daily-requests sort of like we now have as "daily" and "weekly operations/tasks". Maybe not necessarily as dynamic or otherwise "power-shifting" as "World Events" in 2013-version of "Firefall", or the "Control Points" and "Settlement"-management in "(Ubisoft's) Division 2". But you'd still get some actually "realistic"-tasks to do, instead of these (sociopathic) "chores" like "kill X-amount of other players, specifically your neighbours because they dared to sneeze near us". Instead you for example could have a mission/task to protect another player who is in a civilian-role and would be need an escort while they're either doing a civic-task inside an area, or perhaps they'd just need to deliver a package to another contact. After all, for all we know, we could create any sort of "player-token" that would need to just find their way to "Escape from Tarkov" as end-goal; we players just currently are limited to PMC-characters. ---
The one and only time I've ever gone labs was the beginning of this most recent wipe (1 mont ago or so). Found a keycard literally the first raid 10 mins after wipe, still level 1. Went in and died instantaneously to an SKS (Or an AK Idk never saw the guy) . 12 second raid time. I never saw the guy or even began to understand the map at all. Idk if it was a hacker or what but my Gigachad friends say the hacking situation is still butt cheeks on labs. Even today. Needless to say I don't think I'll ever go back.
The problem with most of these quests to me feels like they're supposed to be in the release version of the game due to how long and difficult some of them are so how is the average player supposed to test these quests if they'll never get to them before the game wipes
They just use "final release" as a excuse , they will need to redo the quest system in this game , they are just adding things to keep people doing something , its sad but its the true , you cant trust bsg or may I say absolut soft.
I hate how they do the wipes. Pretty much keeps the lower levels around to level 40-45 then wipe happens and gotta do it again. Unless you can game 24/7 on tarkov and be elite the wipes just screws you over in the long run. They say its to even it up the field but how is that so when the elite players aka landmarks of the tarkov world go to level 50 in the first month of the wipe while the avg gamer hits 15-25. Should make it optional if you want to wipe or not.
I love interchange so much. When you learn to navigate the map effectively you can make some really tatical plays come together that i cant seem to make on any other map. Its the best map in my opinion (other than weird lighting). Hopefully streets takes the cake though.
@@TheWasher18 FTX slugs get you down to about 4, also they shoot a little high until bout 200m then they're spot on, I got two sniper kills at 177.7m with 2 shots like 2 seconds apart
I connect with The Goblinslayer, he just wants to kill goblins and it's legit all he does and he's exceptionally good at it. I want a Zenit AK with BP to merc Scav Bosses and Sxavs, I dont care about anything else.
I had half a ammo case full of bp by just killing rogues 1-2 weeks into wipe. Was deeply annoyed getting ammo cases of good ammo only not being able to sell them
Personally here, third wipe, 2.7k hours, had kappa last wipe. Anything related to shoreline makes me suicidal. Nothing else really bothers me too much (capturing outposts is technically an exception), but just anything pertaining to shoreline is hell. Shoreline is hell. Shoreline is hell. Shoreline is hell.
There have been multiple times in between breaks that I've thought "maybe I'll jump back in now" but then i remember the quests and decide to wait another wipe.

The quests that I hate the absolute most are bolt-action rifle quest , I remember last wipe when i finally got the psycho sniper done never again having to pick up such a shitty rifle . That was untill this wipe...
this was perfectly timed, just logged off for the day because shoreline tasks have been destroying my motivation to play and i couldn't put it into words why i hate this map so much.
Tarkov burn out is real, and one of the main reasons are quests and questionable game design decisions. I've been playing this game since 2017 and I loved it back then and actually tried completing as much as I can. Today I can barely take the game seriously with all the bad spawns, repetitive and boring quests and some odd game mechanics. Honestly I love(d) this game but I it's just getting old and it's not even out. At least we gonna get Arena which is pretty good and refreshing.
12:20 I've grown to like that spawn.. not for good reasons mind you. Once loaded in, do a 180, bolt through shipping containers, across the road and up the hill.. then bush camp looking back up the road. Can usually kill a spawn or two coming from road to customs.
Honestly over 80% of tarkov quests are "bad quests" imo. Being forced to play specific maps for dozens of raids because good rng is needed or bad luck is terrible. I just want to run factory over and over.
My deal is that so many quests I have to deal with are so rng based. Having to juggle that with hideout upgrade rng is just the most painful experience I’ve had so far. I’m lucky to have finally gotten flea market so I can buy items for it, but the game gives you fifty fetch quests that you don’t even have a chance to complete sometimes
Aye just wanted to drop a comment and say thanks for actually talking in these videos. I can't actively watch the videos but I can listen and nobody else really talks in their videos, its just cuts of game play and some voice over but mostly game play. I can't watch them because I have no idea whats happening. You explain everything and its my first wipe so I get to learn
Ironically, the stuff you get from the quest is considered found in raid, meaning you can list your rewards on the flea. Those skill-less quests are now just a matter of grinding the game like it's a day job, to complete the quest for the thicc case, so you can flip it for 8-12m, then sell all that ingame currency to another player for money. No wonder hackers are becoming a problem, the quest structure is basically built to favor them.
I am currently stuck on the Killa quest for the past 6 days with only seeing him on interchange 2 times while searching the whole map during those 6 days
I'm fucked just trying to do the jaegar quest killing 3 scavs on woods in a single raid, those fuckers head/eyes me before I make contact half the time, the other half the time, I roam the map for 10-15 mins, only to be sniped by some asshole pmc.
@@ahealthkit2745 Woods is the easiest map to deal with scavs. Easiest map in general. Some quests for it are dumber than sticking your dick in a pencil sharpener but it's the easiest map to break contact if need be and continue on with your raid.
you may try to do that in a night raid. Buy yourself night vision, pick the right time and you are good to go. The location/marking quest are actually mostly easy since you can rat them. Killing pmc tho is much harder (for example for punisher part 4)
I am someone who plays Tarkov every other wipe. I genuinely cannot fathom how people keep on repeating them every wipe without getting ridiculously bored.
One aspect of it is that one gets better with time. My first wipe, I knew nothing but was mesmerized but the “realistic-ish” gameplay. By now, on my sixth wipe, I know most of the lore and how to do most of the quests (up to around the lvl 45 point, when I usually lose interest) without even looking them up again, but it’s turning into a routine. I’ve never been a seeker of PvP, so I avoid fights rather than run towards shots, and, honestly, it’s getting tiresome with these same stupid quests.
@@Jaderrun bro just stop doing quests. Go pvp get kills, die, play another game, come back, go pvp, get kills... treat it like a Shooter, not like a MMORPG. Way more fun
@@Jaderrun respectable and I can see your point, but it's impossible to try to be productive, at least for me. I die in 5 seconds after I obtain a quest item like the game just starts running a timer and spawns the next best giga chad in a 20 meter radius
Shotguns on Shoreline were fun like 2 wipes ago, the accuracy was significantly better, bullet drop was better, damage drop-off was better. My favorite gun was a ap-20 firing sniper-shotty, could accurately hit heads at 100+ meters with little to no zeroing.
I think Veritas made a good point about everytime they add quest or talk about a rework, we all envision them making the quest have more depth but all they have done is made them just as frustrating and basic with different qualifications.... they made the pool a one foot deep olympic pool instead of just making there backyard pool 2 feet deep lmao
Something to also mention for Shoreline pier area for Capturing Outposts: there is absolutely no way to tell whether or not the boat is even there to begin with. So not only do you have to risk running out in one of the most butt-clenching areas of that map, but there's no guaranteed way of knowing if the extract is open prior to approaching it. With... I think it was called CCP Temp? Whatever it was, the light was on. Same thing goes for RUAF extract on Woods, the lights are on. No sail being up for the boat... None of the cockpit lights on... Nothing. No indication that the extract is there and able to be used.
Shoreline as a map is abysmal, interchange loot layout needs balancing and scavs pushed back later in raid but I like the map, other maps are pretty good
let's not forget about The Escort where you have to kill 4 pmcs on every map (except streets and ground zero i think) without dying, that's just insane
Peacekeeper requiring friend from the west means unless you farm factory for pvp you'll struggle to get him your first wipe. This wipe (after 4 wipes i killed 35 player - 28 bears before i got the last usec wt -frick!!
6:20 I play solo 95% of the times, but this quest never was too hard for me to do. You just pick a bush somewhere in the vicinity of Dorms and lie in it for 15 minutes or so. By that time PMCs will murder scavs and each other, and leave. Time consuming, yeah, but you always can make some tea, grab a snack and watch RUclips while you wait.
A nice way to kinda keep the quests fresh would be mixing up the rewards between wipes, kinda like the operational tasks. The rewards could be randomly generated (aside from trader unlocks) to keep us grinding, maybe they could be organized into tiers based on the difficulty, so the later ones get more rewarding and maybe we'll actually want to complete more of them for once, especially if we're not going for kappa.
I hate Ragman's quest (I think it's called inventory check) it's relatively easy to exploit but that shit softlocked me in a wall once with a rsass + slick kit so I forever hate it
Wait, so you hate the quest because you tried to glitch your way through the quest instead of doing it as intended, and you got stuck and lost a kit because of it?
@@CFJ.R I mean I’m not saying buying the key isn’t redundant and asinine, I’m just saying that getting mad at the game for the consequences of his own actions is just as dumb. He chose to try and cheese, and lost his gear, that’s his fault.
There's plenty of scav spawns on shoreline. Radar, road to customs, pier, gas station, scav Island, cottages, village, resort, 2 sniper scavs, power plant, bus stop, the rock on the way to lighthouse extract, truck out in the field.
I have not watched the video yet, but yeah. Some quests are counter intuitive to the game flow, have terrible overall pace, are lackluster and dont even get me started on the dailies (kill Killa 3 times by hitting him in the left leg with an impact nade from 100m away)
The idea of quests in tarkov isn't even that bad. Imagine getting a quest from Prapor that just familiarizes yourself with different locations on Customs, Woods, Shoreline. Then you get some from Therapist involving Dorms rooms, maybe she gives you a handful of random keys, 4/5 are just useless but one of them is for a quest later. Just to get you used to the rooms and what rooms don't pay out. Then you get a quest from Mechanic to hand in a couple of guns you find in raid (no matter what they are) just to prove loyalty. Then you get the quest to find Jaeger's post, he gives you quests to find food crates on Woods, etc. Just touching locations rather than having to fucking jump through a flaming fucking hoop in order to get some useless shit and the opportunity to do even more dogshit difficult tasks.
@@ahealthkit2745 Agreed. The quest system should familiarize Tarkov with newer players and offer some additional challenge later on for more experienced players with optional content.
You forgot Colleagues - Part 1, the one that has you going to 3 of the hottest locations on Shoreline in the same raid and extracting despite not telling you that it has to be done in one single raid or it resets.
My first time on interchange was not being able to find loot seeing pmcs scurry around in the darkness and wandering into killa (not being able to see him) dying to him after 2 burst to the head at 50m
I'm the only person I know that plays eft, so I only solo and watch some steamers to learn stuff. I thought i was just terrible at these quests, feel better now that I know other people suffer with me
I wish they would fix the AI. I remember like 5’th day of wipe shoreline scav boss 1 shot me through a window at the resort from half way across the map like 40 seconds into the raid. 10/10 AI guys. And also for the love of god when does the full open world come out? I’m looking forward to the day where I’m not GARENTEED to run into a pmc constantly. I swear I can’t walk 5 feet without being shoot from 200 meters away by a pmc. No matter the map at this point. The consistent spawn in system we have now makes it feel more like a death match
I've once spawned on reserve near trains and was shot at before loading screen passed. I've heard Glukhar and his boys screaming before i got control of my PMC. I was dead 2-4 seconds after. It's a shame i've lost the video because i'm almost sure it's a world record time on reserve any% speedrun.

No matter the map, there's always two PMC spawns virtually pinching or flanking you. You have to hope the other people spawning in with you are either far less experienced, or literally don't want to kill you for some reason.
The only defense people have for Shorline is the god damn Resort. Ok, neat. What else is there? Stashes? Cool! Good luck getting to them before ultra chad mc doesn't leave the basement finds you. Or you get head-eyes by a SCAV with a shotty 30+ meters through 11 bushes and 8 trees. 0/10 worst map I've ever played in any game. Fails to do anything good for the player experience the map needs to be completely remove and forgotten along with every redundant painful task with zero thought put into it. Even the buildings and locations worth a damn are designed to feel like pulling nails off your hands. I avoid Shorline with every possible second until I am required to go there. Whoever "designed" that map needs to re evaluate their ability to design anything.
the point of shoreline is the resort. the map and how it is meant to be played is designed around the resort. the idea is a hunger games gameplay loop. if you want anything of value from the map, you must go to the resort and then make it back to an extract, the rest of the map has nothing of value. you may not like the gameplay loop but that does not make it bad or poorly designed. if you dont like it, play any of the other 5+ maps instead
@@reedoken6143 You just prove why it sucks. One or two people get blatant advantages each time the raid starts simply because the spawns around the map are one sided and poorly thought out. There are better ways to make the map flow to the "hot spot" of the map. OR better yet. MAKE MORE PLACES WORTH GOING! Why have all the empty space with nothing interesting and maybe 4 scav spawns in the entire map? Why not at least cut that out or fill it with ANYTHING. It's has less interesting places or populated spaces than even woods. As for the "just don't play it" argument, dude.. did you READ my comment? I specifically say I won't unless forced to. That alone doesn't fix anything. I am REQUIRED to play that map to progress certain points of the game. If I wanted empty space with maybe one cool place to go I'd pick up a cookie cutter battle royal. Your points on the map flow are correct to a degree but it does NOT excuse poor quest design and awful POI placement.
@@vulcanist you seem like you are getting very heated over a single map in a video game. adding more POIs will drastically change the flow of the map into one of the other maps that already exists. the map is intended to be unique. i understand that you may not like it. i dont like reserve or interchange, i dont play them outside of the required quests, but i suck it up for 10 raids or so and just play the maps because its really not that bad and it allows me to progress in the game. save up your shoreline quests, accept that you arent going to get loot or great pvp if you dont go to resort, and go complete a bunch of quests in a couple raids and then move on. the biggest issue with shoreline is the spawns, but as someone who enjoys shoreline and plays it a lot, you can go to the resort from any spawn and still get good loot. the 5 min to get in from the furthest spawn is much shorter than the time it takes to loot resort even with the closest spawn, 1 min run
@@reedoken6143 nah I disagree. You can like it all you want. Its absolutely terrible and I strongly believe there are so many improvements that could be made. And if I seem heated it's because I do absolutely despise that trash map. Its infuriating plus the tasks are ridiculous. Go to the same place for 5 different tasks and effectively do the same thing. I'm not stupid. I know how to run more than one task at a time in a single raid. The problem is the map being a trash heap with one single place worth going. That's NOT good. Running in a straight line with little to no incentive in such an expansive map is just... utter garbage. You can enjoy that dumpster all you like. I don't give a rat's ass about pvp, never have. I like the quests. Until shoreline it can be simplified into 3 main type. Go to pier, cottage, resort. Mark things. And kill dude. 5 of which are THE SAME THREE SPOTS for nearly the exact same purpose. Accepting a bad map doesnt make you understanding. It makes you complacent.
@@vulcanist just because you dont like a map doesnt mean its bad. your issue seems to be more with the quests than the map itself. maybe you should care more about pvp and less about quests. 🤷🏿♀️ i agree the quests are repetitive. theyre not why i like the map. i like the map because it provides an imo fun gameplay loop when you are there not doing quests. either you have to compete the only POI or try to pick someone off on their way in or out and thats the design intent. its okay to not like that gameplay loop, but thats not a good reason to change it. change the quests sure but the map is fine aside for audio issues in the resort, which is an issue with the game and not the map. and the spawns which could be adjusted. but other changes to the map like adding POIs or any incentive to not go to the resort changes the intent of the map. also its just a game :)
I really didn't play last wipe, but boy howdy am I happy to hear they not only rolled back the range increase on Shooter Born, but also just made it flat headshots with bolt actions with no range requirement.
The punisher part 4 for me the worst of it is the PMC kill on the shoreline while using the scav vest. Why do you ask? Simple, the scav vest is one of the smaller rigs in the game limiting a lot of what you can run with. If you want to run with any assault weapon you either have a crazy trigger control and only shoot when it is strictly necessary to avoid wasting ammo and needing to stop to reload the mag or bring bigger mags such as the 60-round mag of the ak, and that still won't fix the entirety of the previous problem since when you waste one of the mags you will lose a lot of time reloading the now empty one, having to count only with the 60 on your gun, that not accounting with the misfire and bolt jamming problems that tend to happen when using these mags due to the high quantity of shots fired. For me, the only viable and considerate way of doing it is either with a shotgun using flechette rushing the resort hoping to get some kills or running with a vpo (bolt action) with a scope, silencer and using AP ammo, camping the choke points of the map. Any other one is too expensive or risky for a quest that the rewards may not pay for even half of the investment of a good kit.
This is my favorite game of all time That being said I’ve only played like 13 hours this wipe because Elden ring, ready or not the quests, and the level 4 trader grind. I’m looking forward to next wipe I’m just not looking forward to doing my in game chores before I get to actually play the game.
My biggest problem with the quests is it forces me to use equipment I don't want to use. If I'm going to woods for a pickup quest, I may as well also go in with a bolt action for shooter born.
It’s almost like for punisher, the quest part is to force players into adapting a new playstyle and using a gun on a map you usually wouldn’t see it used on.
Real easy fix: all map specific kill quests should rotate each wipe. Requires virtually no effort on BSG's part, makes PK quests (and the wipe) marginally more interesting, and moves a lot of the shitty woods/shoreline quests onto new maps.
Quests are the exact reason why I never got into tarkov. I really don't have the patience to be doing the same set of objectives every time a wipe happens. I only play a couple of times anyway, and by the time I come back, I only come back to find I need to redo the entire questline progression again because of a wipe. Most of the quests aren't even that bad but doing them over and over again just gets super tiring.
On the brightside, I think we are getting story quests, and all our current quests are side missions. I still hope they go through and tweak all the current quests. So many are just tedious, and not fun to complete. Every wipe I think I'm going to go for Kappa, and then I realize I have to do jaeger quests and just get bored with it.
I have a riot society shirt with the bear like that in pink haha. I'm a casual player, I play the game on the weekends ever so often so I appreciate videos like this, usually I won't get to most quests in a single wipe.
Absolutely every new player: Where the Salewa at? Then there is more terrifying ones like sitting still for 15 seconds to place a sniper rifle onto a boat.
Shooter bored in heaven is the perfect example of why you shouldn't develop your game based on how fast a streamer progresses through it. Not everyone can play 16h per day.
Bruh, I'm not even done the Trakov Shooter questline and I'm having aneurysms. Almost all of Tarkov's quests are absolute torture.

It's crap. Plus why in the lore couldn't you just scout one or two of the stores then leave then come back?
2: Farming could be buffed by making it required to make your own bitcoin farm. I'm just waiting for one to come out saying "Collect urine sample from all map bosses without killing them, while wearing nothing but the pompom. While dehydrated. With 1 health. And broken legs."

More than likely all these "quests" are only there to showcase the gameplay-features, especially the "dehydration" and "pain"-related tasks.
Like sure, there is lore and some worldbuilding too.
But otherwise they just simply works as a driving force alongside as a "flex" to more luckier players
( unless of course one plays the "offline"-version of this game in order to prevent not other players to mess your progress;
"Tarkov" after all is practically a single-player-game with online-portion slapped on it ).
I for one wouldn't be surprised if the task / quest-system would be something akin to dynamic "World Events" in the final version of the game where outposts and other areas between the "maps" would make all sorts of daily-requests sort of like we now have as "daily" and "weekly operations/tasks".
Maybe not necessarily as dynamic or otherwise "power-shifting" as "World Events" in 2013-version of "Firefall",
or the "Control Points" and "Settlement"-management in "(Ubisoft's) Division 2".
But you'd still get some actually "realistic"-tasks to do, instead of these (sociopathic) "chores" like
"kill X-amount of other players, specifically your neighbours because they dared to sneeze near us".
Instead you for example could have a mission/task to protect another player who is in a civilian-role and would be need an escort while they're either doing a civic-task inside an area, or perhaps they'd just need to deliver a package to another contact.
After all, for all we know, we could create any sort of "player-token" that would need to just find their way to "Escape from Tarkov" as end-goal;
we players just currently are limited to PMC-characters.

I was waiting for him to just say ‘and for Jager… all of them’ and end the video lol

I’m lucky to have finally gotten flea market so I can buy items for it, but the game gives you fifty fetch quests that you don’t even have a chance to complete sometimes
Aye just wanted to drop a comment and say thanks for actually talking in these videos. Ironically, the stuff you get from the quest is considered found in raid, meaning you can list your rewards on the flea.

6:20 I play solo 95% of the times, but this quest never was too hard for me to do. You just pick a bush somewhere in the vicinity of Dorms and lie in it for 15 minutes or so.
@@ryanbolson23 tarkov gives misery, you give misery back
@@CFJ.R I mean I’m not saying buying the key isn’t redundant and asinine, I’m just saying that getting mad at the game for the consequences of his own actions is just as dumb. He chose to try and cheese, and lost his gear, that’s his fault.
@@ryanbolson23 I get that I was glitching the game but still I can be a bit salty. After all who tf is buying those keys.
It's just a sad way to loose such a nice kit
Shoreline is the bane of my existence. Lighthouse and Woods are my go to maps if I feel like taking a break from tasks.
I like all the early quests. They definitely get worse as it goes on though.
And yeah, fuck shoreline.
i love how they took your suggestion and ran with it on farming part 4 i wouldve been dissapointed as hell getting a pistol case for doing that
You forgot Colleagues - Part 1, the one that has you going to 3 of the hottest locations on Shoreline in the same raid and extracting despite not telling you that it has to be done in one single raid or it resets.
My first time on interchange was not being able to find loot seeing pmcs scurry around in the darkness and wandering into killa (not being able to see him) dying to him after 2 burst to the head at 50m
I'm the only person I know that plays eft, so I only solo and watch some steamers to learn stuff. I thought i was just terrible at these quests, feel better now that I know other people suffer with me
same, brother.
Bruh! You’re the man of the people!!! Love this video. Keep up the hard work!
@@AyoKeito gluhar really does spawn frequently this wipe same thing happened to me 3x in a row next to the trainstation ran for 5s and got pushed by the guards at night
@@AyoKeito he spawns like crazy all the time this wipe, i actually think he might be bugged because the only other scav boss ive seen more than 3 times with wipe is reshala
No matter the map, there's always two PMC spawns virtually pinching or flanking you. You have to hope the other people spawning in with you are either far less experienced, or literally don't want to kill you for some reason.
@@ahealthkit2745 most of the other maps have less open spawns. On Shoreline half of the spawns you're crossing plain fields.
Rewatching this after completing Survivalist Path: Cold Blooded and his thoughts on Jaeger make so much more sense now.
Can't wait for the actual story quests to be added to the game
Farming part 4 is completely pointless. 60k in rewards for 1.5mil in rubles. I only do this when my Bitcoin farm is full 🌝
me just watching this waiting for garand thumb to upload
Can't wait to see the new "Seye" boss that snipes you once you peek outside the building on Pier
I'm the only Tarkov player in existence that absolutely adores shoreline apparently
Any other one is too expensive or risky for a quest that the rewards may not pay for even half of the investment of a good kit.
nothing is worse then scouring interchange for the correct beef stew cans
Great video I watched it while sharpening a knife, 10/10 knife sharpening experience.
This is my favorite game of all time
That being said I’ve only played like 13 hours this wipe because Elden ring, ready or not the quests, and the level 4 trader grind.
Jaeger's quest "The Tarkov Shooter - Part 1" at the lowest quality settings possible is one of the most painful quests i've done.
the dehydration quest is as stupid as when new privates get assigned bullshit tasks like checking the air quality of a Humvees exhaust lmao.
14:53: Damn he got EXACTLY what he was wishing for, 2 physical bitcoin
15:00 seems they listened to you! Reward now includes two bitcoin (I believe, it may be one I’ll have to double check)
You should make more rant videos I find then very fun to watch
Man love your viss
I have a riot society shirt with the bear like that in pink haha. I'm a casual player, I play the game on the weekends ever so often so I appreciate videos like this, usually I won't get to most quests in a single wipe.
Absolutely every new player: Where the Salewa at? Then there is more terrifying ones like sitting still for 15 seconds to place a sniper rifle onto a boat.
