This game actually has higher quality animation than the new movie trailer. Like, literally. There is surprisingly more movement, expression, ect. Comparatively.

These cutscenes look great. They have a uniqueness to them. I love the usage of colors and stop motion-y animation.
Fun fact: the guy who voices Megamind in this game and the guy who voices him in the new movie and series is the same guy

Moving away a little from the theme of the animation of the new movie, there are designs of villains that I like more from here than those from the new movie

I love how the Doom Syndicate was actually something before Megamind 2. It shows how the writers of Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate couldn't come up with anything for a sequel besides what was already done. And they had the nerve to change the characters in the Doom Syndicate to something different so they could pass it off as their own thing.

The members of the Doom Syndicate in the sequel were actually the ones envisioned for the first film, as seen in the concept art. But that just shows that the sequel is even lazier.

@@wobbmin3705 There is concept art showing that Lady Doppler, Behemoth, and others were supposed to be in the first film! The video game was the one that actually made up the new characters. But of course the sequel ruined the characters envisioned for the first film after lazily plagiarising them.

Also, the voice actors for Roxanne and Minion are actually solid imitators of Tina Fey and David Cross, unlike the ones in Megamind 2

The fact a low budget and rushed game has better rendering than a heavily promoted streaming exclusive, goes to show you that DreamWorks did not give a damn about Megamind's return.
@arryosuryahadi544 Most movie tie-in games had a limited production schedule to line-up with the movie's release date. That doesn't mean it is bad, but they did have less options than the new show's production.
How does a low rent video game from 2011 feel so much more like an actual sequel, The animations better, the voices are better, everything better.

oh my fucking god, this is where the doom syndicate came from, atleast the VA For Megamind here captured the essence of megamind, for example him not knowing certain words, atleast he tries to sound like megamind when he speaks. since hes an alien and has no human knowledge, literally these villains look more creative then the skylander and bomb voyage ripoff.

A new series or movie should probably focus on trying to give Hal a better life. He's done stupid shit didn't get the girl because he was being a weird neckbeard, maybe he could learn to be better or something and repay the people for all the crime he did. Megamind would probably be the one teaching him how to be more of a hero but as a direct influence rather than a fake space dad who ruined his life... Hal won't want to at first and may get upset everytime Megamind comes around to try haunting him to make him feel better but he finally gives in and takes his advice starting more training to just be a nice person and not a loser. Instead of this stupid influencer bullshit he could actually influence someone without media as more of a therapeutic friend. Let's just act like the new movie never existed.

One of the main reasons why I hate videos games is because I find the animation terrible. Maybe it’s because I was more of an animated movie person but I find the animation depressingly ugly. This might be the only animation in a video I’ve seen that looks good, maybe better than the movie itself.
