I loved how in the game we see more of the house than the movie, because in the movie we only see the front entrance and the basement not the upstairs floor, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the living room or more of the basement.
This part of the movie would have been better if the kids explored more places in the house like in this game. They don't even walk into a single bedroom or anything, there's so much the creators could have done.
The Game explores unused concept art and ideas. As for the Movie the focus was just finding the furnace which will lead the Characters to the truth right away.
