Can you tell me how to get that book you used to refer... Something like vol. 2....
Never heard em called clout nails. Here in the states we call em hardware nails or PP nails (that's positive placement). If you have to hand bang a whole bunch of loose ones we call em ticklers. can you guess why? :)
Having put up many hip truss roofs in the UK I can only say that the use of all these straps defeats the advantage of truss hip it’s quicker and cheaper to cut the roof using methods
This is why guys with a carpentry degree pull up to a frame site and still don’t know shit
Use shorter nails
Use 3” screws... faster and stronger
