  • Eric and Matt from MySummerWithSika visit HomeDepot for a product demonstration of Sika Post Fix by our Pro Select team. One bag of this pioneering product replaced (2) 50 pound bags of concrete - without the need for water or long setting times.

    Seems lightweight?
    Is it literally just foam?
    Would it float out of the ground in wet lowlands?

      Lol why? I mean obviously it’s a chemical reaction happening which means it most definitely is hazardous to your health but so is concrete dust being inhaled when dumped out and mixed

    • @aron6998
      @aron6998 5 лет назад +2

      1 bag of this is equal to two bags of 80# quikcrete so I would say around 75% extra cost instead of your 300%, however no mixing in a wheelbarrow or backbreaking weight especially if you’re older and can’t pickup an 80# bag of quikcrete it definitely has it’s place for certain small projects such as a mailbox post or something like that

    • @joerotorhead
      @joerotorhead 5 лет назад

      @@aron6998 ...... ummmmmm ??? ok you just saw a guy demo one bag just fill a 5 gallon pail right ? so one bag is nowhere close two equalling 2 80lb bags of concrete. Sure if your older and need a quick fix this will work, however for a fence, id still use concrete, its stronger, heavier, termites wont nest in it and will outlast the foam, not to mention the foam will trap and hold moisture FAR worse than concrete ever will, thus speed up the rotting any wood set in it at a far faster rate than if it was sitting in dirt. i get your point, but the reality isover the long term concrete is far superior in every way except the time and ease of setting it. Ill do it right the 1st time and be done.

    • @aron6998
      @aron6998 5 лет назад +5

      Snowblind I’ve used this and concrete and yes full expansion is two bags worth and actually it’s closed cell foam and water doesn’t penetrate but maybe instead of being closed minded try things outside your box

    • @joerotorhead
      @joerotorhead 5 лет назад

      @@aron6998 There is an old saying... " If it aint broke don't fix it"......... there are tons of reviews on this foam where people are sorry they used it and wish they used concrete instead of being 'lazy" about it... their words not mine........ its not about being close minded its about just doing something right the 1st time, just because something is new doesn't mean its better.....

    • @aron6998
      @aron6998 5 лет назад +3

      Snowblind concrete was new at one time and people didn’t know how to take it either right? My point is I never said concrete was “broken” and I’m not advocating for its eradication either however just bc you like concrete doesn’t make it right for all applications either, for a mailbox post I’m going to be lazy as they say and use foam and get back to drinking my beer faster
