Regarding the controller, it's plugged in and interacting with Logic; there is sound but all the keys playing same sample. How can i get each pad to play a different sample! And no tutorial on RUclips talks about it. I can't find that option What am I missing?
Henry Lin You could assign them to mixer faders so if you want to mess with volume, you don’t have to always go back and forth to the mixer, you can just turn the knob. You could pretty much assign them to anything that you would turn up and down. Channel rack volume, panning, stereo spread, master volume, any setting in a plugin, automation, pretty much anything. To do it you right click of what you want to assign it to and click “link to controller”

Great tutorial! This is the 1st akai tutorial I have a week that actually explains ANYTHING. LOL. I still haven't gotten started and had mine for 2 weeks now. MPC essentials is garbage and I can't figure out how to get samples on the pads. Or the keys to work.... Fml
In FPC .....The fastest way to delete or clear the stock samples when you open up FPC is to click the top upper left corner of the plugin option is to click for "Presets" and click on Empty* Lol! This will save you some time instead of all of that deleting those FPC stock samples individually. Lol!😆

When I came to a project that I saved containing these drums chopped on FPC, it came up with the stock instruments which meant I had to assign the drums to FPC again. Do you have to save your FPC preset and import it into your project everytime?

@@Juarense I thought that and went through the files directly. The files were there but some of them had no size and another don't. I still don't know what happened there but, I decided to upgrade to V12 and I got my problems solved. Thank you!!!
Great Tutorial I needed this! You can also click the drop down menu from the FPC channel window to delete and select the preset "empty". Its a quicker way to delete the assigned sounds on the pads.
Thanks for the video. I definitely learned a lot. I'm having a bit of trouble with the cut though. My sample lasts a couple seconds long, and I want to be able to hit the pad multiple times without the sound stacking on top of itself. Do you know how to cut it so when I hit the same pad again the previous sound stops and the second hit restarts it?

Right click the arrows at top right of FPC and select empty. Way faster... awesome vid though

you have to sync up your your keyboard to your computer, then sync it to FL. There are videos on how to do that all over this site.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I just set Cut and Cut by to 0 in FPC.

If your keyboard doesn't have a B button, it's not that big of a deal. You just don't have as many pad banks.
