Coming next week to Tailosive tech: Drew downgrades his brand new iPhone 15 Pro for a used iPhone 3GS to test drive the still active 3g networks. More at 11. I don't really want to, I rather just save /Invest and even buy more Tesla stock.
The image quality seems significantly downgraded compared to Blackmagic's vibrant colors and clarity. Indoor and outdoor shooting differ, especially with smaller sensors. I believe the Apple event utilized a million-dollar professional lighting setup; recording it with a Nokia phone would yield incredible results. However, the current clarity doesn't match previous standards. Investing $900 every 2-3 years is acceptable, and preserving the Blackmagic might be worthwhile. Image quality holds importance for audience enjoyment.
Feedback - Selling the black magic to cover the costs definitely avoids you from looking like a hypocrite lol. How to afford these luxuries is what you promote to your viewers. BUT I’m not sure if selling the black magic to use an iPhone camera was the right move because ‘sometimes’ we do notice when you use a smartphone to film your videos, but now we’ll always see ‘that’ and I’m not sure if that’s the move, even if/though your content is heavily based on your personality and information.

Thought during the live stream you got the regular 15 and didn’t see any value in the Pro models? Why was that missing from the story 😂
I knew that sounded like an odd choice for a tech channel. The Pro is just way better all around camera wise and that sweet 120Hz. But in fairness the regular models are the best they’ve ever been this year and a great value.
The regular line are the best they’ve ever been! For 90 percent of people, it’s perfectly fine. Someone like me, I want the best! With that said, if I was in a financial situation where I could only afford the regular 15, I would have no problems owning it!
@@Aggie4life77some ppl would rather go back to Lightning and buy the 14 Pro for around the same price lol
@@anetizen6404 if you’re willing to do that, it’s no problem. It would be a better phone. Me personally, it would depend on the deal for the 14 Pro/Pro Max. These days I keep phones for at least 3 years. I don’t know if I want to keep lightning that long.
Coming next week to Tailosive tech: Drew downgrades his brand new iPhone 15 Pro for a used iPhone 3GS to test drive the still active 3g networks. More at 11. But not iPhone 11 cause drew got rid of that faster than everyone got rid of their lightning cables in favor of usb c.
But seriously though, I had a feeling that you’d be doing this eventually. Not because of what Apple did with the Mac event but because of all the things I was seeing people hook up to the usb c port to.
So I’m happy for you that you’re transitioning to a workflow that sounds like it’ll be really beneficial for you going forward.
However! If you are looking to actually try out that 3gs, I know a guy I pass by in this alley next to the bar every day. Real nice dude. If you need him, just ask for Steve. The password is turtleneck. Not trying to push you on anything. You just keep doing what you do. Just remember that the 3gs is only 30pins away…..
I think we’re somehow connected because I’m currently on an iPhone 11 and I plan on upgrading to a 15 Pro for the better camera and data transfer speeds… haha
Which mic do you use?
zoom H6
@@TailosiveTechthanks
5:49 dude I’ve been thinking all this time that you got the natural titanium 💀 I thought you had only joked about how it looked white on the unboxing
GREAT IDEA BUT PLEASE FIX THE LIGHTING! The reason Apple's looked so good was also because of their lighting. Your dark shadow and light that does not separate you from the background looks bad and flat. Also YOU'RE THE BEST
The "we're family again" got me😅
Omg drew this is huge! Can’t wait to see what the iPhone can do 👀
You’re not a hypocrite, you’re a human being. Our needs and wants change. I have a 15 Pro Max and a Pixel 8 Pro. I use my iPhone for All video footage, and I use my pixel 8 pro for lots of still shots. I say keep the 15 pro.
I always watch your content on a phone or iPad, can barely tell when you change camera tbh, the words you speak are worth more to us viewers than the pixel peeping 🤣👍
I’m happy with my iPhone 15 pro max coming from iPhone 11 Pro. It’s an investment for me, I shot all my videos and photos with my iPhone 15 pro max. After all, it’s a great tool to improve my hobbies. I’m sure I won’t be upgrading until iPhone 18.
for the first time this year and last year when we got the iPhone 14, I'm really fine and loving my iPhone 13 pro max. yes, the dynamic island is nice and I do want it.
but, my phone is paid off and I can afford to but a new phone out right. I don't really want to, I rather just save /Invest and even buy more Tesla stock.
APPLE SHEEP IS BACK
Gradually, Tailosive plans to sell his house and settle into an Apple box. 😅
the video definitely needs more color correction, but its fine
The image quality seems significantly downgraded compared to Blackmagic's vibrant colors and clarity. Indoor and outdoor shooting differ, especially with smaller sensors. I believe the Apple event utilized a million-dollar professional lighting setup; recording it with a Nokia phone would yield incredible results. However, the current clarity doesn't match previous standards. Investing $900 every 2-3 years is acceptable, and preserving the Blackmagic might be worthwhile. Image quality holds importance for audience enjoyment.
The tone in your videos are much more cold looking now with the iPhone camera 🙈
Feedback - Selling the black magic to cover the costs definitely avoids you from looking like a hypocrite lol. How to afford these luxuries is what you promote to your viewers. BUT I’m not sure if selling the black magic to use an iPhone camera was the right move because ‘sometimes’ we do notice when you use a smartphone to film your videos, but now we’ll always see ‘that’ and I’m not sure if that’s the move, even if/though your content is heavily based on your personality and information.
Yea keep the 15 Pro.
Glad you’re gonna be using the iPhone 15 pro.. starting my RUclips journey soon and using a 15 pro max as the camera! Just need a MacBook Pro now 😅
I have a Macbook Air with M2, and it is more than fine enough! 😊
@@Trainspotting_Trips it might be for what your doing and maybe for me as well but I’d also like the better quality machine with more a better experience and ports etc but thanks 😊
@@KeepingItFishy I understand you.
In the end it's your decision and you know for what you need it.
I Miss The Look Of The Black Magic 😢
I find iPhone is great for outdoor shots but when I step into a studio it acts like it was outside, and requires special lighting.
Not hypocritical. Seems better focused on your use case.
Looks just as good if not better. Cheers! Also, Tyler Stalman is a great YT resource for maximizing iPhone videography.
It’s The right call now that the IPhone has usb type c. Gonna do the same.
I really don’t think this makes you a hypocrite. I think it really shows you putting your money where your mouth is. You “downgraded” in most people’s eyes to show that you don’t need an expensive dedicated camera to put out great content. Keep it up.
It’s crazy your 11 had 80% battery health when my 14 pro had 86
Nice, congrats Drew! Definitely been tempted by that iPhone 15 Pro. How does it work with MagSafe duo?
Neat!
Color grading on your example videos (iP 15 and Pixel) are much better than colors and lighting on this video.
Anyone keep track of how many phones he went through? I swear it was something like: 13 Pro to XR to X to SE to 11 and now the 15 Pro or something like that? lol
It went:
13 Pro Max
X
SE 2
15 Pro
