I’m a huge Apple fan for more than 15 years and i’m on the verge of doing the same thing with my Apple Watch. I hate the last update… so before i let go my Apple Watch i have removed all notifications for a moment to see how i feel. At first i was so anxious… but now i feel better and less stressed! And i realize a part of the stress was caused by the nonstop notifications. Outside the health features and Apple Pay, i realize i don’t need any other features. But the worst for me are the obvious lies from Apple… for a company making a video with mother nature and preaching to have ecological values… the omission of the double tap on previous Apple Watch is a huge red flag! Yes, they do ecological actions but at the same time they just want you to buy more more more… they obviously don’t want customers to keep their products! The carbon neutral thing is a good concept but the real reason behind that is only for the customers to feel less guilty to buy again and again! But this is not really the way to save the planet…
The Apple watch Ultra makes absolutely no sense to me. $800 for a watch that will be obsolete in a few years. Give me a break! I have the series 7. I see no need to upgrade to the series 9. Before this one, I had the series 4 and the only reason why I got the series 7 is because the 4 fell on the tile floor and broke. And before the series 4, I had the original Apple watch. I don't see the need to upgrade every year. But I'm one of those weird dudes that wear two watches, Pixel watch on one wrist and Apple watch on the other because I carry two phones, actually three. I also have the Samsung Galaxy watch 6 classic. Of all of those, the pixel watch 2 is the one I prefer.
couldn’t agree more, Drew. I was an avid apple watch user for years and made the decision to ditch it for a more traditional watch. Initially I dropped it because I was sick of having to charge it so often but then realized that I actually benefited more from disconnecting my wrist from the cyberspace than I was from the trouble of charging.
I sold my Apple Watch to a friend just like Drew did. I went back to wearing a G Shock watch that is solar powered and doesn't need software updates that screws everything up.
WatchOS 10 has been driving me nuts making widgets a swipe up instead of control center. Seriously who at Apple thought that was a good idea? Now you’ve got me considering selling mine as well…
@@1dareu2mov3 sort of, swiping up brings a view of fucking widgets (weather, activity, etc) which nobody uses, and for control centre you need to click the side button. And for seeing the opened apps you need to double click the wheel, it doesnt jump between recent apps anymore.
I honestly really appreciate you showing you don’t need all the new devices. I get so caught up trying to get all the new stuff when what I have now works great.
Good for you!!! You’re different than all those other tech guys who are all wearing the newest Apple Ultra and really don’t need it You are sensible with your decisions and money
“Really don’t need it” You don’t *need* anything except food, water, clothes, and a roof over your head. Anyone buying anything they want is their preference.

My series 3 of 5 years is the last Apple Watch I'll ever own. Once it stops working I'll happily get a minimalist Projects Watch. All I'm ever using the Apple Watch for has been timers for cooking and work breaks and checking the weather before bike rides. All things that are accomplished just as easily on the phone.
Dude, I understand your feeling. I’ve been minimizing my screen time and reduced social media to the bare minimum. I’d already turn off notifications for everything except messages a long time ago. Lately, I’ve been thinking to get rid of my Apple Watch too. I don’t know if it’s me getting old or just tech exhaustion.
I use mine regularly, but I’m an attorney who practices in a time-sensitive area. When I disconnect, I very intentionally turn off notifications, but I prefer getting that haptic feedback that comes with a Teams message. Also I have an anxious mother, and having a smartwatch in college would have saved a lot of trouble with her nearly calling the cops because I left my phone in my dorm. Also I carry purses and my phone likes to hide in them. I also find it easier to be present in my hobbies without worrying about my phone, because a glance at my wrist is nothing. I’m mostly used to WatchOS 10 now.
I moved from an Apple Watch to a proper wrist watch years ago. Absolutely more freeing, and somehow it’s more confidence boosting to have a proper watch.
I am in the same situation. I have the Ultra AND a Series 7 and decided to put them away for a month and see if I miss them. I am in week three of the challenge and am loving the freedom from charging and being so Hyper-Connected.. I don’t think I’m going back to them.
Talk about old tech, I try to find busted Apple products and fix them. Ie screens, face sensor, battery, etc. best decision ever to Lear how to fix a screen for instance. I get my oled replacements for my xs max from china as they cost like 30$. If you can wait a little bit you can save A LOT on parts. 🎉
While I have never really liked the look of Apple Watches, I recently changed how I use my technology and broke my smartphone addiction. My screen time is now 30-45 minutes daily MAX. One of the side effects of breaking my smartphone addiction is that I accidentally leave my phone behind quite a bit: at home when I leave for work, in the car at the grocery store, in the car at an event, etc. After leaving my phone behind too many times, I picked up the AW Ultra 2 so that my wife and family could still reach me via phone, messages, or telegram and had a reliable way to track my location even when my phone wasn't on me. My AW Ultra 2 is my best friend and my MAIN smartphone. My iPhone has now become a supplementary device, and if I didn't need the iPhone to pair with the AW, I would sell the iPhone. I also have notifications turned off on my watch for everything that isn't a phone call from someone in my contacts list. This is more of an ode to my digital minimalism journey. Still, the journey has led me to utilize technology as a tool for specific needs rather than allowing the technology to use me and consume all my time.
I upgraded from a series 7 41mm to an ultra 2 I really like it. The battery is amazing. I find the Apple Watch super useful. I do agree with Drew feeling on software locking. It’s so obvious what there doing. I’m running Mac OS Sonoma on my 2013 Mac book pro. It runs just fine.
Still running the series 3 here with no plans to upgrade. This thing is a champ and does all the things a smartwatch should and more. Really cannot think of a reason to change it. Even the battery life is still a full day and a bit
I actually just upgraded from the 3 to 9. My 3 was still running decent and I plan to use it for situations where I don't care if the watch gets more scratched up or whatever. But I wanted to get the 9 mainly to get the bigger screen and actually still get watchOS updates.
I also thought about selling my series 7 but unconsciously I do use it a lot. From changing songs, Apple Pay, replying to text messages, approving dual factor authentication apps, and even turning on my car, all are actions I do from my watch because it’s faster and more convenient than pulling out my phone.
Reminds me of this scene from Revenge of the Sith when Padmé pleads with Darth Vader (formerly Anakin). Hardcore Apple sheep (like Frank from your skits): Drew, you’re breaking my heart! You’re going down a path I can’t follow. Drew: because of Craig? Frank: Because of what you've done... what you plan to do! Stop! Stop now; come back... I love you! Drew: *strangles Frank*
Tapping is already on older watches. In fact, it constantly tells me to double pinch, and I’m on an original Ultra. I still don’t know the difference between the current tap versus the old tap, but it seems like the old version is pretty powerful. I suspect the only reason it’s being advertised as a feature at all is because Apple wants to call attention to the key interface item of the Vision Pro. Otherwise, Apple probably wouldn’t have even mentioned it.
gave up using the watch 1.5 years ago & haven't looked back. i get tempted sometimes by the Ultra but i remember that smart watches really aren't that useful to me. i like hearing a tech creator's perspective on a more minimal approach to ecosystem devices.
I just upgraded from the series 7 to the ultra 2 not much of a difference but I just wanted a bigger screen to type with because I’m not allowed to have my phone physically on me at work and I do building maintenance and I don’t want my phone falling or getting damaged anyways so the watch is clutch especially at work
I have the Ultra and use it regularly. I have the cellular turned on and love the feeling of being disconnected from my phone but also available in case I'm needed. I don't exercise as much as I should but it's great for that as well. I also really like the look of it so it's functional as jewelry too.
I keep mine for the calorie/exercise tracking and sleep tracking, plus theres still situations where i want to have a basic form of communication available to me and i dont/cant have my phone with me.
I am literally in these days in the process of buying a normal watch again. I’m on a Series 4 and the most exiting upgrade with WatchOS 10 was the Snoopy watchface that drowned the 5 year old battery in my 41mm model by 5-6pm. The watch was doing nothing but show Snoopy every now and then, so I knew I had to replace it soon but being now financially more conscious I don’t really like the idea anymore of buying a new watch every now and then that doesn’t really feel new. Though, bought the Series 4 on release in 2018 and hats off that it’s still going.
I still sport the series 3 i bought 6 years ago. Battery at 90%. Stopped using the heart monitoring feature as it turned middle aged me into a hypochondriac. But it still works fine as a watch. A very accurate timepiece at that. Also the 3 is Apple pay capable so I dont need to take the phone out to make payments.
Your video about not wearing you Apple Watch got me thinking about mine as well and how it basically only serves to never let you get away from your phone. For the past ~3 weeks I haven't worn my Apple Watch at all and i have absolutely loved not having it. Probably going to replace it with a normal watch so I can still tell the time though😅
Good for you Drew. I'm still holding on to mine as I still see value in it when the phone isn't nearby I can still get notifications. The discrete tap on the wrist can be annoying at times when you want to focus so DND comes in handy in those cases.
Genuine question Drew, but with self-reflection do you actually think you can be considered THE definitive Apple Sheep? I would have said 2 years, you absolutely were, but now I question that. No iPad, no Apple Watch... I'm not even saying that you have to have them, but I would have considered an Apple Sheep a "super defender" of Apple products, and I get that you are pivoting your content away from blind faith but it seems to me that your love for Apple has diminished in a sense. Just food for thought
I’ve been wearing Apple Watches since series 3. Stopped at series 7. Sold mine about 3 months ago and haven’t looked back. Started wearing regular watches again and couldn’t be happier.
I found the same thing with my Apple Watch (although my girlfriend loves hers). I realised that I mainly enjoyed having the time on my wrist, so I just wear a regular Seiko watch now. I still have the time, but no notifications, and no need to charge it daily! I'd recommend that route, because it beats pulling out my phone if I have to be at an appointment or catch a train.
Pause at 1 minute. Agreed. WatchOS 10 is making me rethink of upgrading from my series 6 to whenever my watch isn’t supported anymore to not upgrading at all. I absolutely hate WatchOS 10. Not to mention that I don’t get all day battery life anymore. Since the update I have to charge it twice, sometimes 3 times a day now.
Use mine mainly for knowing the time, occasionally reply to messages or take phone calls…it’s an Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen…definitely not spending the cash for an Ultra…I can barely justify the cost for this watch…once it peters out, not sure what I’ll do
Very well said. I’ve fallen into the tech trap of “you gotta have this”. But the way you describe the Apple Watch is how I feel too. Sometimes it’s nice to just not track everything and be so connected all the time.
I used to feel like my Apple Watch was so pivotal, especially because I exercise almost every day, but now I hardly wear it. I ended up getting a rash / skin infection where I usually wear my wash (from washing my hands too often and not drying them enough), and so I was forced to stop wearing the Apple Watch while I healed. Now I just don’t see the point in it anymore - if anything, constantly getting notifications on my wrist is more stressful. I’m always carrying my phone anyways (I don’t have a cellular watch) and the calorie tracking features of the watch are useless because regardless of whether or not I know how many calories I burned, I’m going to exercise anyways.
Hi ! I'm kinda glad that you're doing this video because I'm feeling the same about apple lately. just like you, watchOS 10 was like a little knife in my back, they choose (surely it was their decision since a long time) to prioritize the beauty over the real achievement ... so everything is kinda separated and you have to scroll more for the same action (just like the rings app now). and apple and Apple Watch is not giving us data that could potentially benefit for us like body battery or stuff like that. "listen to yourself" features. I still love the Apple Watch (when you're holding a baby or carrying something etc) I'm still doubting about a Garmin in a way that just like you it disconnect me from the social aspect but connect me way more on the health aspect and not having to worry about battery life ! and features and it is gonna rock watchOS 11 or not .. I still don't know. having a connected watch is still a thing to me since a I was a boy but since my series 1 back then... it feels harder to get the thing, less simpler now that so much smartwatch came out and can get the job done (to me still Garmin) :) you're not alone, it feels like you're disappointed by apple overall and that they are more turned into new customer as the apple watch gets more and more popularity (and I'm not talking about Apple Watch only) I guess that they will turn around someday
Really starting to think the same way, I upgraded from my 4 to an 8 because I wanted an AOD but find it more annoying than just tapping the screen to turn on, it has to think and takes several taps for the screen to be usable. OS10 turned things on that made charging a pain, like it won’t charge if it doesn’t feel I need to? Except the watch would die mid day, I did figure how to shut it off or it pauses your music on your AirPods to tell you you’re walking? Anymore I seem to use only Apple Pay, steps, and the time; I’m also considering the Pixel for something new but maybe with a more basic smart watch like a Fossil that’s a hybrid.
I'm gonna do the same, if only because it doesn't work with my new phone A refurbished Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is on its way though, I just can't go back from having a smartwatch - I fail to notice my pocket vibrating sometimes, and that's already caused me to respond to an important message late a couple times. I do appreciate you pushing the idea of buying tech secondhand though, the watch I just bought refurbished was $450 two years ago and I bought it for $80. Until recently, I never considered secondhand, but I got a $2000 fold for $625 and a $450 watch for $700, and all I lost in saving almost $2000 is there are some miles on my new tech already. The phone works like new best I can tell, and I'm hopeful the watch will too.
1.Waiting for redesign 2. Job doesn’t allow it 3. Helps in my workouts I tend to get distracted with my phone in my pocket . Overall love the Apple Watch but my series 4 is just fine for now until a radically new redesign
The thing I hate about my apple watch 7 is that with watch OS 10, FOR SOME REASON someone decided it was a good idea to stop showing steps, exercise and active calories on a single screen. It absolutely RUINS my experience with it, and there's no way to change it, why would you do that on an exercise focused device? smh
I don’t understand the hate for watch OS 10 and I appreciate how the watch allows you to concentrate on what’s important and to some degree reduces overall phone use. After 1-2 weeks watch OS 10 became second nature and I really appreciate the new glances feature and new watch faces.
I do think that they concentrate on "shallow features" like on the ring app, it's just pretty pretty and colorful and the gesture to get to every tab ... before it was rings, scroll down you have your already poor info about your rings ... and that's it .. I feel that watchOS 10 became that shallow things where everything is just pretty for the one that don't want to ask questions and that's it. I mean, it's still great, I do like it but before I was using my Apple Watch to dive a bit more into workouts that I've done, now I just end it and see the rest on iPhone as I want more data from it. (data that still feel minimal tho)
I am a runner, so I kinda need a watch to keep track of metrics. I keep looking more and more into Coros ever since watchOS 10, since Coros has L5 GPS, longer battery life, "Action" button for "segments", at a little cheaper than an Apple Watch SE, however it is nice having all those things, but I may make the switch to a Coros instead of Apple in the future, and keep my Apple Watch for software development.
I’m still on an Apple Watch Series 3, still does everything I need and I doubt time me or the average user will care about whether a watch gets the newest software update. WatchOS 8 is still capable and the series 3 is still getting security updates.
I sold my Apple Watch a few months ago. I enjoyed it but I also realised that I like my quiet time and would get quite angry when my watch interrupted me. I mainly used it to track health and sleep and wish I could buy a smart bracelet, it just tracks health and sleep and does nothing else. I know whoop does that but not comfortable with a subscription for that.
If you’re just using your Apple Watch for notifications, yeah, definitely sell it. I bought one specifically for my workouts and I just can’t imagine working out without it. I’ll literally leave the gym, go home and fetch it, if I forget to wear it. One more thing on notifications: I feel that’s an issue with tech in general which is why only a handful of apps have notifications turned on for me. The wrist shrink thing is weird. That’s all I’ll say on that.
I hate my apple watch but absolutely need it for volume control and pause play for podcasts etc. i use latex gloves at work dealing with chemicals and can pull the glove over my watch but it still registers play/pause etc. if it wasnt for my work i would have zero use for it. Series 4 stainless steel.
The Apple Watch sleep data helps me figure out food sensitivities based on if I have a horrible night sleep coinciding with eating a particular food. I figured out that I am sensitive to yellow onions, Red Bell Pepper, Artichoke, Wheat and/or Gluten based on how my sleep is and how much I vomit in the case of consuming wheat and gluten containing pretzels as well as artichoke. Oddly enough ghost pepper seems to counteract my sensitivity to an extent and purge them from my body faster.
Reminds of the scene in the first Iron Man movie when Tony Stark stops making weapons: “A tech channel enthusiast that doesn’t have tech?! Sell, sell sell” 😂
I did the same !!! I sold my old série 3 in late 2022 and I sold last week my iPad Air 5. I’m only using an iPhone 13 and a pair of AirPods Pro 2 usbc that I got with as a gift. I sold my old AirPods Pro 2 :) I’m almost on the edge to switch to a pixel. I use a Windows PC at work and at home, so the wall garden is cracked…
If you’re going to have your phone with the ringer on won’t you have the same internal debate as with the watch vibration on your wrist? To check it or not if it’s something you need to see then and respond to; or if it can wait
i actually use it a lot for messaging at work or glancing at when i’m driving. i rarely use my iPhone or try not to pick it up as much. it’s a useful device, but the new software does suck. not a fan.
I find the health and fitness tracking features useful on my Apple Watch, but having to charge the thing on a daily basis is annoying. I'm planning on getting a Garmin Venue 3S later this year because, even thought it doesn't have all the smartwatch features that the Apple Watch has, it has all the features that I currently use on the Apple Watch, plus it has a battery life of up to 10 days.
I just bought an Ultra 2 after having an aluminum Series 4 for five years. Before that I had the Series Zero stainless for 4 years. Im treating my Ultra 2 like an iPhone mini.
I get your frustration with watchOS 10, I too don’t like the new gestures. Also, battery life has been significantly worse after the watchOS update on my series 6 and I hate the new redesign which colors the all display when listening to music/podcasts. I never cared about the thicker bezels on the series 6, since in the past the whole UI was mostly black, but now I feel like Apple is trying to purposely make the older watches look worse. I still wouldn’t get rid of my watch because it encourages me to be more active, which is something that I struggled with throughout my life, and I love paying with my watch without having to find my wallet or my phone in my purse.
Apple watch for me is nothing more than notification management and time keeping with occasional fitness tracking if I go for a swim or dedicated cycle. I couldn't agree more with you on the point of the vibrations taking you out of the moment and hence I am looking to remove the notification management. I find it really difficult to not take the apple watch with me since its always tracking everything but this makes me miss my traditional analogue watch, which now only gets use on the most special of occasions. Also for the cost of the apple watch you can get much better fitness tracking devices and also fitness equipment. I'm about at the stage where I want to upgrade from my s4, which is still fast but the battery has been bricked with the newest updates. I'm now looking at a cheaper smartwatch like suunto or garmin watches with more dedicated fitness features, plus the week long battery lives they offer is just amazing.
Good decision! I sold mine as well. For someone not needing to track health and doesn’t do sports on a competitive basis, it‘s not needed and mostly a feature for comfort 🤷🏻♂️ I saw myself not using the watch regularly and for gym stuff it‘s not really that useful anyways. In a business/office environment I found myself wearing my regular watch because it‘s more formal and just looks better with a shirt.
I rock a used iPhone 13 mini with a used apple watch ultra(only $30 a month for phone+watch cellular on Visible), my "tablet" is an s23 ultra...gives me options to bring whatever I want, or just the s23 ultra if I don't want to hear from anyone 👌
I do usually grow tired of the Apple Watch and just want to disconnect. It ends up coming overkill of notifications that leads to me not checking anything lol I am intrigued for the rumors of the blood pressure just because that’s something that actually applies to me. The health stuff is about it.
I just updated to watchOS 10 and now I hear you like Weston made you switch the house is not the best thing that one of the year. Yeah I do need it for my

Seems your not going to be a Apple Sheep, but a Tech Journalist more and more by testing other brands and products. Keep up the good work mate
I love your different perspective, I unfortunately can’t wear an Apple Watch alllll the time cause of work but I’d want to the most I can I have a traditional wallet with a ton of really important cards in there but myself I like to be prepared with things just in case I need a specific thing but if most of my things are on my phone I need a phone charger always. I definitely understand and love the minimal lifestyle difference tho but having those things linked to a digital screen is really hard.
Never had an Apple Watch but always wanted one. Let me tell you. I don’t love watchOS 10 (from what I’ve seen so far) but I also don’t hate it. I think it really needs a big readjustment but I think widgets are a good thing (especially with 3rd party support) I would use my watch as a gym tool, tell the time and read notifications when away from the phone.
drew you do realize that bodies don't work like that, right? you don't really think your feet are shaped differently because you wear shoes every day, yea?
I have been using an Apple Watch SE for nearly a year. Not a slave to it and.when the notifications.come straight to your wrist, it keeps your phone safe from snatch and grabbers in London.
Other than the smart features that watch offers, I like to style it, it’s a piece of fashion for me, I own quite a few watchbands about 8 :D (obviously not the apple ones, they’re very expensive)
For me I’m the exact opposite the watch helps me stay off my phone. On the watch you can’t get that distracted but I don’t have the newest watch. I have a blue series 6. I’m an odd person that I can miss notification with ringer on. Also watch makes me more likely to go workout. I will buy a “new” watch probably series 9 next year October time.
If anything, I want my focus to shift more to the Watch from iPhone. I long for the day when the Watch becomes more independent and can tether to an IPad instead, so I can leave the phone in the dust
I some what agree with you, but I do use my Apple Watch for controlling my music through my phone because I’m still in school and we can have our phones out in class. Also I’m just a watch guy so even if I didn’t have an Apple Watch I would still have some sort of watch
Why not just use focus modes? I just switched to iOS from Android and those have been awesome as far as limiting my notifications and time spent on unnecessary stuff on my phone
This has been a journey this year for me. I got an Apple Watch Series 8 back in February in order to get away from my phone. The Potential for the Apple Watch is to be a "Phone Replacement" but both the Android and Apple world aren't willing to go that far. (If Google, Fossil or Samsung were to let me interface with a PC or Tablet with their watches that is a platform hopping move for me) I have been using my Apple Watch instead of my phone out in public and it has been great for time with my wife and experiences with my family (much to my wife's chagrin she's the dedicated Googler now). I am increasingly convinced the way forward for "the ecosystem" is to break the iPhones Central hold over it. My dream "minimal ecosystem" would be a 14 inch MacBook Pro with a built in Watch app to manage the Watch, and Apple Watch, and a Remarkable E-Ink Tablet. I love my Apple TV but if the Nintendo Switch had streaming apps I would consolidate to just that for my TV.
I stopped use Apple watch because of the poor battery life! I had an Garmin Venu 2 and now I bought an Huawei GT 4 black and I am happy with it. I am using it with my iphone 11. I receive notifications perfect, but because ban I cannot respond or interact with the phone. It doesn't bother me! It looks amazing and it has a 10 days battery life plus it costs around 200 euros.
10 years ago, I didn't wear any watches. When the original Apple Watch came out, I couldn't care less. Then my dad got an Apple Watch as a present from a colleague, and gave it to me because he couldn't care less. I was like 'neat, free Apple thing' and tried it on. Years later, upgraded to a Series 4. Then ditched it and put on a mechanical Seiko. Then upgraded to a Grand Seiko and likely won't buy another watch for a very long time.

He’s cheap and miserable. That’s not being smart with your money. He’s prioritizing the love of money which is bad.
@@AnonN-sr6uu You are so wrong!! Being smart with money doesn’t make you cheap If you can afford to get a new watch every year that’s fine but he’s saying you can get along fine without spending money on watches that have little difference He just tells the truth about upgrading every year
I love the direction your channel has gone in! Reminds me of your older videos back in that old studio/your parent’s house.
Next month: I sold all my furniture
The only reason I have my series 6 is for working out. The tracking features definitely help me be more consistent.
This should just be a personal finance channel at this point.
I moved from an Apple Watch to a proper wrist watch years ago. Absolutely more freeing, and somehow it’s more confidence boosting to have a proper watch.
I feel this. As dumb as it sounds I feel more masculine wearing an analog watch 😂😂😂we are so fragile
I am in the same situation. I have the Ultra AND a Series 7 and decided to put them away for a month and see if I miss them. I am in week three of the challenge and am loving the freedom from charging and being so Hyper-Connected.. I don’t think I’m going back to them.
Your Tim Cook impressions are priceless. You should do a whole video as him sometime for the fun of it. Could do an April Fools Day video
yea i said that in a recent, past video, his tim apple is hilarious
Talk about old tech, I try to find busted Apple products and fix them. Ie screens, face sensor, battery, etc. best decision ever to Lear how to fix a screen for instance. I get my oled replacements for my xs max from china as they cost like 30$. If you can wait a little bit you can save A LOT on parts. 🎉
You know what you should give up next? Your RUclips channel! It will fix everything!
skits always make me laugh, so much. you made my day today. Thank you.
Get a dumb watch? No taps to worry about. And display always on 😊
I upgraded from a series 7 41mm to an ultra 2 I really like it.
But I wanted to get the 9 mainly to get the bigger screen and actually still get watchOS updates.
i still have my 3
I also thought about selling my series 7 but unconsciously I do use it a lot. From changing songs, Apple Pay, replying to text messages, approving dual factor authentication apps, and even turning on my car, all are actions I do from my watch because it’s faster and more convenient than pulling out my phone.
Oh, I love my Apple Watch. I think watchOS 10 is amazing once you get used to the changes, especially when using the Snoopy watch face. 😁
Snoopy watch face is the greatest thing to happen in watch
An highly recommend looking at the Withings range of smart watches.
My Series 2 will turn 8 years old in October. I’m not sure when I’ll upgrade to something newer.
Who are you and what have you done with Drew?!
I don't know how much longer you can be the apple sheep bruh.
As an official subscriber since early 2017, i honestly don’t like too much where this is going now ☹️
I found the same thing with my Apple Watch (although my girlfriend loves hers).
3 times in a row?
Agreed my series 6 doesn’t get me through the day
Sounds like the wife has put the brakes on to his tech expenditure lol
She didn't want me to sell the watch 😂
@@TailosiveTech haha I was jk mate
Yeah.....not so much an Apple Sheep now......
What now?
Love your approach to tech!
I still don't know. having a connected watch is still a thing to me since a I was a boy but since my series 1 back then... it feels harder to get the thing, less simpler now that so much smartwatch came out and can get the job done (to me still Garmin)
:)
you're not alone, it feels like you're disappointed by apple overall and that they are more turned into new customer as the apple watch gets more and more popularity (and I'm not talking about Apple Watch only)
I guess that they will turn around someday
I'm gonna do the same, if only because it doesn't work with my new phone
A refurbished Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is on its way though, I just can't go back from having a smartwatch - I fail to notice my pocket vibrating sometimes, and that's already caused me to respond to an important message late a couple times.
1.Waiting for redesign
2. Job doesn’t allow it
It absolutely RUINS my experience with it, and there's no way to change it, why would you do that on an exercise focused device? smh
before my series 3 broke i really just used it for sleep tracking/silent alarm and fitness tracking
I've waited a while to say this but..... I miss Apple Sheep Drew... 😢
Right now I’m fed up with certain complications just up and disappearing and not returning. I’m sure it’s the apps but still it’s aggravating!
Apple employees: what are we going to do now that WatchOS is double digits?
Tim Apple: remap all the buttons.
since you dont have a watch anymore can i buy that gamma blue nike band, been wanting to get that for a while
Do you still have that used ceramic series 5 you bought? If so then if you want to use an Apple Watch again, you can just use that
I did the same !!!
To check it or not if it’s something you need to see then and respond to; or if it can wait
i actually use it a lot for messaging at work or glancing at when i’m driving. i rarely use my iPhone or try not to pick it up as much. it’s a useful device, but the new software does suck. not a fan.
I got a used Ultra for $438 on eBay. Perfect upgrade from my Series 7 with a degrading battery.
For someone not needing to track health and doesn’t do sports on a competitive basis, it‘s not needed and mostly a feature for comfort 🤷🏻♂️
I saw myself not using the watch regularly and for gym stuff it‘s not really that useful anyways.
Yeah I do need it for my
Its not bad being loyal to a company who produces top notch products, like Apple. Its good that your trying other products once in a while and give an honest opinion about it. Seems your not going to be a Apple Sheep, but a Tech Journalist more and more by testing other brands and products. Keep up the good work mate
I love your different perspective, I unfortunately can’t wear an Apple Watch alllll the time cause of work but I’d want to the most I can
I have a traditional wallet with a ton of really important cards in there but myself I like to be prepared with things just in case I need a specific thing but if most of my things are on my phone I need a phone charger always.
I definitely understand and love the minimal lifestyle difference tho but having those things linked to a digital screen is really hard.
Never had an Apple Watch but always wanted one.
Let me tell you. I don’t love watchOS 10 (from what I’ve seen so far) but I also don’t hate it.
I think it really needs a big readjustment but I think widgets are a good thing (especially with 3rd party support)
I would use my watch as a gym tool, tell the time and read notifications when away from the phone.
drew you do realize that bodies don't work like that, right? you don't really think your feet are shaped differently because you wear shoes every day, yea?
I miss how I used to be able to swipe between watch faces much easier before watchOS 10. Now I have to long press and then swipe 🙄
Great video. My se is awesome except the battery life which is why I keep going back to a casio
Never been a big Apple Watch user, but since i started working out more it has become a great exercice partner and now i love it
I have been using an Apple Watch SE for nearly a year. Not a slave to it and.when the notifications.come straight to your wrist, it keeps your phone safe from snatch and grabbers in London.
This guy just switched all his gear to android 😂 and did it slowly it just got worse and worse 😂
The fix for notifications is only allowing the ones you want.
Funniest thing about apple talking this feature up is that the tap feature has been around forever 😂
