I had a n ole Redhead Cummins in a 2004 W900 KW and I reset the computer on it, I raised the shift RPM on every gear (10 speed) to 1700 rpm and turned up my mph to 90 and I ended up getting 7.25 mpg, the company called me to the office one day and asked me what I did to my truck, lol, he ended up paying me 100.00 per truck to set up the other 6 trucks the same way, I thought for sure I was in trouble for doing it to my truck, lol
What's your cruising speed? My old pete hauling 140,000lbs on/off road would average 5.5-5.8mpg consistently with an isx 550hp, 18, 46k rears with 4:10 gears. But i would accelerate extra slow (gunning it would still take 2 miles to get to 60) and only cruise at 60mph. I wasn't O/D but lots of days I'd see more gravel roads then pavement and lots of driving in fields etc. DD series are good engines for sure, I liked my cummins the best of all so far. I'm running a paccar now otr doing soley over size, mx13 is a solid engine that takes a good amount of abuse but just a major lack of power in general comparatively to cummins or dd15/16.

35 to 45 mph on the dirt and 70 to 75 on the asphalt . I know I know if I went 71 all the time I would get better 🤣 I just can't drive slow on highway
I get 4mpg at 90k pounds haul tankers full of milk
So about the same
You like my new truck I ordered 2 weeks ago it was delivered? Let me know what you think 💖💖💖 Poptart
I'll check it out
What you make more money with the heavy haul or the oil hauling
Fuel mileage on a heavy haul sucks.
Yes it does
If it was a CAT I would bet it would be closer to 3.5. Pull Hell off the foundation, but it's going to drink dinosaur piss.
