Ya, these are super different fields, and it annoys me to no end that people think they are the same. Like, an Electronics Engineer absolutely can not do the job of an Electrical Engineer and vise versa.
Eletronics Engimeering is just a subset of Electrical Engineering they're not separate. Electrical engineering is very broad and 4 years inst enough to specialize in Power and Electronics. So some universoties have them separate or teach mostly Power with some electronics mixed in.
@@kaylamadison8347 Funny, considering I'm currently a Final Electronics Engineering student. I know what I'm talking about people like you make the same mistake of isolating electronics from electrical when its jsut a branch. Electrical enginerring doesn't only mean Electrical Power engineering.
@@jonathanwhite7168 I AM AN ENGINEER, finish school, get certified, then come back here and tell me what you've learned. You will be an Electronics Engineer, and you will not at all be qualified to do the work of an Electrical Engineer. Period.
Im curious about how i could combine my knowledge about electronics and software engineering. Ive done electronics and im now studying software engineering. Personally thinking about embedded systems being one of the best careers i could get into and have always loved circuits.
If you want to become open for electrical engineering career paths as a current student finishing his CS undergrad, should you do a masters in electrical engineering or a second bachelors in electrical engineering so as to get the electrical side of things?
