NVIDIA Omniverse is a scalable development platform for building and operating custom 3D pipelines and industrial metaverse applications. Based on Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD), Omniverse fundamentally transforms complex 3D workflows, allowing individuals and teams to connect disparate 3D tools and datasets, and simulate large-scale, physically accurate virtual worlds for industrial and scientific use cases.

Nicely curated explanation of create and USD layers. Would love to see more videos like this.

I have to say I am a huge fan of Omniverse! And I love using this program. I've been using it to create my animated web series and I really love it. I would love to know what the future is for Machinima, is it going to be updated or going to be replaced with composer. I'm also really hoping that Reallusion really supports their connector so that you can use all their features and integrate them into Composer. Especially Daz Studio too. I just love the Path Tracing technology.
    Keep up the good work!

Does the layer means that we can periodically save the content and turn back to some checkpoint later?

at 9:39 you orbit the chess set where the camera points at the object. how do you enable this orbit mode that work for products rather than the default orbit which is better for walkthrough world navigation ?

I don't understand.... they keep saying composer but the app says Create. There is now an app called created FX? I am confused.

Create is the new name for the same app I believe, this is an older tutorial. I'm not sure about FX.

Hi, great overview. One question though, does it make sense to have lights as a payload arc since they don't have heavy geometry or anything like that to hold the scene back? why not just have lights as a plain reference? Are there any benefits to having them as payloads?

Create and USD Composer are two different programs with exactly the same functions. Thanks for the confusion.

Where is the video that explicitly shows me how to create, save, edit, and build layers? I've watched so many videos, and y'all always go from a simple cube example to a complex example demonstrating what you could do.

But It's still named Create not Composer.

15:37 that's a sad physics simulation... they just glue straight onto the surface, no tumbling or friction or anything... also, you don't explain how to see which objects have markers because after the clicks in this video, nothing changes on the screen which is bad UX...

I liked the name Create better. Composer sounds like it is a music app.
