It almost seems like a halfway point between a pour over and a French press. Very cool, I've seen these on instagram but this is the first I've seen someone actually explain how they work.
Thanks for the video! Great test. I was wondering if the coffee is a bit too „cold“ after the brewing. I like my coffee very hot. What was your experience?
Very cool. Looks like a fun way to brew. Random question, what brand is that tripod you’re using for your phone? Do you like it and would you recommend? Keep up the amazing content! ❤
I'm trying to find a way to make coffee without microplastics. Do you have any recommendations on a drip machine or any recommendations at all? Looking for machines that the water or the coffee do not touch plastic. I've only found this one and the Ration so far. I'm also not sure if water storage area on the Ration is plastic free. Any advice would be great.
If this had an ope/close valve this would speak to me to water 1st, then grinds on top methods......My now goto for the clever. slightly moistening the beans pre grind could also be bonus.
I am thinking about buying one to just use the diffuser lid for V60/other drippers. Basically, I want a glass "Melodrip" or Hario "Drip Assist." Thought on doing that? Do you have a V60 02 to test if the lid will sit on top of one or whether it is smaller and would go lower into the V60?
@@DaddyGotCoffee Would you mind putting just water in it, to see how it drains? If the pour holes are very small it would just form a stream but if the holes are lager and spread out, it should create a more even shower. If you would not mind, please try and let me know which it does. No video or anything, unless you wanted to do so, just reply here if you would please.
@@Crake71 So I tried this just now. The pureover does sit significant'y "in" the v60, but not enough so that its handle kicks it on an angle. The holes are spread out enough that it doesn't onverge into a single stream but the flow rate is really fast, a lot faster than what you would see with the drip assist, which I have used. Hope that helps!
Would like to see you pour the finished cup through a pre-rinsed chemex or v60 filter just to see how much sediment was in the final cup. Maybe post a pic in the comments of that experiment? I would think you could still drink the coffee after filtering it through the paper. **EDIT** maybe you can't post pictures here in the comments...oh well.
I got this device super excited but can't get it to drain out like your video, took over an hour it sits like mud water, I have CAPRESSO burr grinder and have tried "medium" + Fine and " lower medium towards coarse. What would you use if you had that device? Thanks in advance! I need to get it to drain or I have to return to a normal hand pour over LOL.
I would keep going coarser until it drains. Those capressos create a lot of “fines” which are small dusty particles even on coarse settings that can clog up a brew. But keep going coarser to see if you can get it to work

That’s almost a perfect description of it actually!
Thank you! Just bought one today, can't wait to use it 😊
Certainly very economical with no wastage on filters.
Would like to see your take on an iced coffee. Since the season is soon approaching.
Absolutely! I gotta get into more iced stuff for the summer!
Awesome that's for the video
You’re welcome!!
This has become my daily 1 cup driver! Wash is a bit annoying especially because I like to keep that glass polished but I love it!

I loved the video and subscribed to your channel. Id like to know where you get the digital scale you are using?
It’s the Varia scale but you can find an identical and cheaper version without the Varia logo on Amazon!

Will a AeroPress paper filter work in the Pure/over
It’s a little bit too large!

I can't get mine to pour that fast - tried fine to course :( 10 mins is average for me.

That’s a great idea! It’s a little smaller than a v60 02 but I think it would still work

Link to your scale?

I can do a short of this though!
@@DaddyGotCoffee I agree, that would be interesting to see the results of a post-brew filtration!
Where to buy pure over in Canada? thanks 🙏
I think the only way is direct at pureover.com/products/pure-over-dripper?variant=37647248162975

Love your video. My question is, what kind of gimbal are you using?
It’s an Osmo Mobile gimbal! Super handy and I use it all the time for my reels as well!
Why will u not replace with this if this is good ?
I’m sorry I’m not sure I understand your question! I like to use a lot of different brew methods. ☺️ I don’t really have a fave!
What setting on the Ode did you use for your grind?
I found 6 to be decent!
@@DaddyGotCoffee Do you have any idea how that would translate to, say, a Baratza Virtuoso +?
@@OffbeatsMusic based on a very quick look at its grind chart I would start around 18-20 and see how it does ☺️
Loved the video, but it hurt me when you didn’t swirl the carafe before sipping 😆
Now I have to re watch 🤣 I ALWAYS swirl 🤣 I must have edited it out
LOLOL NOPE - let’s just say it hurt me watching that back lol!
Unfortunately this still leaves the bitter oils
I did not order this !! My bank said to contact you to refund my money. Thank you !
