- My aunt passed away earlier this month. I am grateful to have been able to play a few pieces at her funeral service in hopes of bringing some comfort and peace to our family and friends. This sad, yet hauntingly beautiful piece by Mozart is one of my favorites. Ave Verum Corpus was originally composed in 1791 for Choir, String Orchestra and Organ.

Thank you so much for your very kind message Thomas! Yes, I have not been able to upload a new video since I have been so busy teaching 7 days a week. I thought I might make a video over the Christmas holidays but I was feeling quite burnt out and decided to give myself a proper break. Rest assured I love making RUclips videos and will make one as soon as possible. I have been practising a few special challenging classical pieces and want to make sure they are well prepared before recording. Good news is I have been lifting weights and going for long walks every day inspired by your impressive athleticism🏋🤸♀🏋♀Blessings to you Thomas and wishing you and your family a wonderful start to the New Year 2024🤗🧡💫✌

Let me tell you that I thank God to have your friendship here 🙏😇. You always be safe and stay healthy and creative. By the way; I know what you mean with so much teaching; I have reduced giving tennis lessons, because it was too much giving tennis lessons for kids and for grown ups nearly every day except for the weekend, that´s holy, ahaha 🫂💖🙋♂.

We have some group pieces with 20 violinists playing together. I am nervous but excited. Hopefully after this busy time I will be able to make some new videos again. Been thinking about you I know this was a year ago but I am sorry for your aunt's passing. It must have brought comfort to your family to play this at the funeral. This is a beautiful piece and although it is somber it has a wonderful melody. I love your performance, Rosemary! Did you transcribe it for violin form Mozart's score? ❤️
Thank you so very much Donna, it was special to be able to play at the funeral. I didn't transcribe it, I learned it completely by ear which is unusual for me. I've loved this piece since I was a kid. When I felt compelled to play it at the funeral I listened to a recording of choir and orchestra to refresh my memory and had planned to transcribe it but tried playing it by ear and it was just there 🙏💙
