Adore “pack some patience”. I travelled yesterday from Seattle to Doha in QSuite on the way to Athens and checking in 3 hours before takeoff was a great idea. We all need to realize that the privilege of international travel requires staying calm and carrying on.
Don’t be “that unruly passenger”, be more like Jeb!
“Pack some patience” is great advice & I wish more people would do just that! Fortunately I didn’t run into any outbursts on flights to & from Iceland (on Delta) a couple of months ago. We were in Main Cabin for that trip but looking forward to AF Business in June-even more so after this video. Thanks for taking us on the ride!

For me, nothing beats AF LA Première to Paris from the USA, and return. Can't wait for your review.
The pianist at 1:14 was there when I had a connection in Detroit on my way to Oshkosh in July. I made sure to give him a big tip!
Jeb thanks for this. You met my wife working at the AF lounge at IAD, and we both strongly concur with your comment about patient. Remember, folks, things change so quickly that often the gate agents are pivoting. Please be kind in the air.
You should try Contour Airlines to or from KIND! Small regional carrier with E135s, and all seats are 36" of pitch! I am not lying either about the pitch. The service to KBNA, KPIT, and KMKE starts October 12, 2021.
I was drooling over an AF 787 in Boston recently. Thanks for helping scratch that itch. Can't wait to see the rest of this series Jeb, great start!
Beautiful Aqua Terra world time!! This was a great trip report, Jeb. Thank you:)
The same dreamliner I flew in from Paris to Detroit a couple years ago. Beautiful plane I have videos of it when landing in Detroit
When you mentioned "La Premiere" I literally said O.M.G. and I cannot wait for it! Safe travels!
It has been 13 years (sheesh!) since I was last at Detroit Metro. How it has changed!!! Just beautiful. Congratulations, Michigan!
On trip #2!! United does a great job of getting everyone ready to board and let’s be honest we all are just happy to be back!
That man playing the piano needs a youtube channel lol! For what little clip you had, he was great! Love your videos Jeb! Thanks for continuing to perk my interest in traveling abroad!
glad to see another video and the first international flight in almost 2 years, keep it up jeb
It is so nice to see you flying international again!!!!
Thanks for the review. I just booked this same flight in biz class for November. Can't wait to fly again!
Safe travels! So happy to see you are back at international travels! Enjoy!!!
Have travelled several times to Europe in the past few months - haven't had any issues. Seems like Delta/AF needs to figure out a more streamlined document check process.
Agree. Traveled to Qatar and Maldives a few weeks ago via Qatar Airways, no issues whatsoever. Seems to be airline specific
I traveled to France in July, I don't remember anything too bad. They checked my vaccine card and passport and that's it. Not sure why his experience was different?
Same. I flew United twice to EU. The documents were checked outside of security at check-in counter -- not at the gate. This reduces the gate congestion as everyone arrives to the airport counter in waves, not all at once. Even if you are carry-on-only docs should be checked at the bag drop counter. Much more efficient. On the European side this was also the process. No issues.
Love your videos, I just wish there were longer. There is so much more to see on these trips and I would love to see every bit of it. 10 to 11 minutes is not enough for those of us who love flying/travel.
Glad to see your international flight with AF, loved your score as well.
We're all booked for Air France Business Class LAX to CDG next May! Can't wait! Thank you for your video!
I’m so excited to see this video!! My fiancé and I just booked a flight to Paris the other day for next year! Hopefully things aren’t as crazy to get over there.
Flew from Frankfurt to Nairobi in June on Lufthansa. Inbound flight was easy and entry to Kenya too. But getting back home was a mess.
Local staff at Nairobi checked my documents 5 times before even boarding. They had 3 security checkpoints which took ages.
I despise the Nairobi airport, and pretty much everything Nairobi. It's too bad.
The 787 of any variant is just ultra luxury in business class. I love the dreamliner
Its so good that the USA is opening again for europaen travelers in November. I travelled to Greece in September this year and it was my first trip for vacation since 18 months. It has changed a lot. There‘s a lot of paperwork to do before you can enter the Country. It could be done online. Infact I prepared a checklist with things to do before I could go. Just make always sure that you‘re up to date with the current country regulations.
The USA is only open to some people in November.
Keep up the great work Jeb! I love and support your videos!
Flew in Delta One from JFK-ATH RT on the A330 back in July. So good to be back in the international skies…and a great experience (as always) with Delta One.
Thank you Jeb I’m taking this same flight in November so great to see a preview of what it is like right now!
Jeb is back international, and he did it in style! Fantastic video!😸
thanks for the flight report. Can't wait to watch the next episode
Welcome to France ! Glad you started by air France :)
Just booked this route, glad I did!
My home base, enjoyed several flights on the Delta Flagship across the pond before the pandemic...looking forward to more! See you in the skies!
This video is the perfect length. Well done, sir.
I took a trip to Qatar last week, my first international travel since January 2020! YVR-YUL-DOH. I did allot of research as to the entry requirements, but once all that was in order, it was easy and I'm so thankful and blessed to have been able to travel internationally again. Looking forward to more travels soon!
i haven't travelled internationally for a number of years now - probably not covid-related if I'm honest - but nice to see upgraded IFE, cabin refresh, seats, etc. when i think of the business class AF 330 i was on last. only thing i may have thought was a downgrade was the amenities kit, i recall mine from AF in 2017 as being one of the better ones I've received on my roughly 2 dozen transatlantic flights on different carriers. thanks jeb. good to see new long-haul videos
International travel ?
LoL 😂
In Australia, we can't even travel to half of our only 6 states !
Went to Guatemala back in April on a Delta 757 and went to Greece in August on an Emirates 777! Jeb, thank you for the positivity and awesome videos! I'm definitely looking forward to some more flight reviews!
Can't beat anything Emirates, can you, Aidan?
Did you fly Newark-Athens? EK210?
I traveled to Singapore, UAE, China, US and Netherworlds this summer, so glad to be able resume exploring
I just came back from Paris via Air France (premium economy) and it was a great flight. We did have to watch a couple of VERY poorly-behaved Americans at CDG which was awful. I agree with you - patience is key!! And just plan to get to the airport a little earlier than you would usually arrive. Thanks for the video!
Americans are usually embarrassing abroad, especially in Europe. I try to deflect!
We went to Paris in July via Porto and it felt amazing to be back. Just make sure you have all that you need and it is just fine.
Hello Jeb, thank you for posting your trip and impressions. Amazing to be up in the air again, and being in Paris I should fly the other way around to Detroit: the airport looks amazing. Cheers, Gerard
the 787 wings are a thing of beauty
"Pack some patience". Great advice! I'm still waiting to travel internationally until we are in a place where entry requirements are less strenuous or at least standardized to the point where last minute changes are less likely to happen.
Jeb absolutely cannot wait for my business class flight to Japan in December getting that much closer to international travel
Really enjoyed the video. I am taking my first ever international flight on Tuesday to Toronto. Really excited
great catering with AF as always!
I recently flew with Air France from SFO - CDG, and the boarding process was similar. They had several people at the gate checking everyone's paperwork, and we were only delayed a couple minutes. We also had to fill out the contact sheet for a possible COVID case. I think these precautions are most necessary, and there's no doubt international travel has changed. I don't see it returning to normal anytime soon.
Thank you for the video!
I am an Legacy Airport Agent and I want to say Thank You, Thank you and Thank you for recommending passengers to have patience with entry policies, which are driven by Govt agency.
Thank you
Wow glad international is back!
I really love your narration style. Always calm and objective. Even when things don’t go according to plan. I really enjoy your channel!
Thank you so much!
I flew the AF 787 from CDG to ABJ in late 2018 in premium econ. Beautiful aircraft. DTW the best North American international airport. The red terminal trams a legacy of when Northwest Orient was the tenant.
Being a DTW native I love those old trams!!
I’ve actually traveled internationally recently when I flew to Mexico for a family vacation it was quite nice and beautiful had an air bnb right off the beach the view was beautiful
My first flight since March 2020 was last month to ATH. Flew AA on a 772 from JFK and a returned on a 788 into ORD. Happy to be going international again :)
I’ve travelled quite a (business & economy) bit and never had anything but great service. I honestly think you have to understand everyone is doing their best at their job even when they can’t control the outside factors that are affecting the clients. If your considerate and respectful they’ll remember that.
Great video...I never would've flown in the past. I may rethink my feelings
Great video! Thank you for the effort.
That red train that goes above the terminal is so cool
Excited to see you travel overseas again. I always find Air France to be a solid product. I'm interested to see how your Paris to Greece flight compared?
Great vlog as always Jeb !
Great video as always jeb! i'm happy you could experience international travel in these covid times, back in 2019 my family was supposed to go to Rome but it was canceled due to covid so I'm enjoying these videos you make for us during these days. but I do see improvement. as always "see you in the sky" :)
I’m going to South Africa with Lufthansa this winter (summer there) and I am so excited! It’ll be my first trip on a 747
FINALLY!!! Since I'm technically not a true av geek, but just a luxury flight geek, I have to say that I'm glad you're back. I loved your train videos, but this gets a thumbs up and comment before I even watch it. Welcome back and get your Aussie buddies off their butts too.
'and who was I to say know?' ...I felt that
International travel for me was a fun experience, 14 hours in a 777-300 from Melbourne Tullamarine to LAX it was fun but really long
I am seriously considering a family trip to Ireland. I enjoy hearing about Business Class with a seat becomes a bed. My one trip to Wales was a non stop BA business class in a very narrow seat. No way to rest. Thanks!
I am ready to travel internationally especially when I get all the notices about the really inexpensive flights but at this point it will probably be the summer of 2023 before I get to fly internationally.
Why’s that pal
Great video. Can’t wait for the return trip!
I am traveling internationally in 2 weeks and I can't wait!! Wanted to go AF but going Delta/Virgin Atlantic to London then taking the train around Europe!
I took Delta's ATL-CDG earlier in the year, while I prefer the Delta A350 suites because of the straight config and door, that AF 787 looks comfy. Packing patience is great advice for the less experienced. It's a different world currently, but at-least it's opening up a bit.
missed ur videos! love them all!!! i flew on 2020 twice (after the pandemic) and 3 times on 2021. haha and 2022 probably more.
Went through Copenhagen and Oslo around Christmas last year with United and SAS, many hours were spent on customer service depending on the mood of the Danish government.
I had no problems with the US or Norwegian border folks. Thank goodness this is starting to clear up in earnest.
Love your videos Jeb!
Great vlog as always! No comment on your Boze headset? Lol! Do the FAs love their jobs or their Jebs…. I rest my case! Looking forward to the next one! I have not been at DTW in 25 yrs… Today sept. 25th at 1600h all was back to normal in Norway! (March 12th-2020) 561 days of covid restrictions is over! Lets party! Is the creative dir up for doing her own travel videos and sharing them with your RUclips? I am all for that!
Very nice review. Wife and I (think we) are flying to Italy via AF in 2 weeks. Steerage class, it was a cheap flight, but still, Air France, A350, currently with only 51 passengers on board in economy. Surprisingly, Premium Econ is sold out, and Business is more than half full. I love the airline, service has always been great, food better than average, even out of the US, and I love the duty free area in Chas de Gaulle. Glad you had a great flight, I'm looking forward to ours.
Going to Iceland nxt week..so excited
We traveled to Croatia in June and it was fabulous! Even upgraded to business for the first time ever and we flew on Lufthansa. Leaving for Rome soon and hope to also upgrade. Very interested in the Air France product. Having flown Lufthansa over and United back I have to say the service was much better on the German carrier. Heard wonderful things about Air France, they will be my next one to try.
Made me chuckle when your opening comment was videoed in front of "Brooks" brothers store :-)
Awesome video buddy. Liked!! Good morning from Kuala Lumpur(KUL) & stay safe!!
Great to see the JebScore back
I wish his videos was longer .. I watch these at night I plugged my phone up an lay back an its over lol... I don't even fly but jebb makes me not scared to
Just got back 15 hours late from Barcelona. Got a free night in Atlanta. Let’s just say I’m glad I’m home now
I from Detroit I love their airport sooooo much and hope to be a pilot one day and fly into and out of there!
I like the background music 👍
Wow, in almost every trip Jeb does he's in an amazing lounge! I've only been in the Qatar Al Mourjan lounge in Doha once
Wow! Quite special!
My two favourite First Class services are … Lufthansa’s Senator First Class and Air France La Premiere. Each has their own uniqueness. You can’t go wrong with either one. 👍🏻
The Senator Lounge, is a tier level, the HON/First Lounge is what you mean?
@@bodyloverz30 … I was speaking of inflight services not lounges
@@robyoungquist5803 The best service, would be La Premiere HON.
YES! Finally ever since the livestream I’ve been waiting for the AF Business class review on the 787 Dreamliner from Detroit to Paris DTW-CDG 🇫🇷
Can’t wait to travel internationally again soon and to try the AF Dreamliner…
Uh…ok
@@Nolagames__ Droll.
I’ll be heading on an international trip *FINALLY* this winter ❄️ with Lufthansa on their ICONIC 747 to Frankfurt!! 🎉🎉
Made several trips to Greece during pandemic. Very stressful compared to pre pandemic. Planning another trip in a few weeks which am excited about.
Informative !
I have a trip booked to Aruba. Flying on JetBlue from Boston, and staying at the Divi All Inclusive. Looking forward to my first international trip ever!
Love it! Can’t wait to go back to Europe (hopefully in Nov). All I have done in the past 18 months is Mexico, Mexico, and more Mexico. And the DR and St Maarten. Enjoy the Caribbean, but Europe is calling!
Dfw to paris in 2024 first time in life. So exciting
just returned last week from a trip to Greece on American's flagship business class flying out of LAX...was a wonderful experience. I sure needed all my patience and good thing I had a three hour layover in JFK before heading to Athens....I needed every minute of it...arrived at my departure gate as we were boarding! thanks for a great video!
so american isn’t really that bad as i thought
@@diehardavgeekfreak6862 American was really good; the airports and customs was a pain...lol
Flying BOS-CDG Air France A350 business class April 2022. Can't wait!!!
My return flight from Paris to Minneapolis was through the AF dream liner too in August 2021 business class. The wifi on that plane also didn't work. Otherwise everything else went smooth. Thank God for Global entry I was out quickly from passport control to catch my connection to Las Vegas.
Loved this. I'm flying to Athens on Wednesday (AF 777-300ER SFO-CDG-ATH)!
awesome video Jeb
