What I find the most incredible is how you use up practically everything in your refrigerator before the next order comes in, and how you just know how much food to order.
RUclips randomly suggested your channel to me a couple weeks ago and I am in love. I subscribed immediately as I found the content so entertaining and well produced. Your channel is so informative and therapeutic and I love just listening to it while I work (work from home desk job). I'm not at all a cook and that never interested me but honestly, I want to start cooking. haha Even my wife has noticed me randomly suggesting things that we can try to make for dinner and she's actually liked my suggestions, although she wonders why and how I suddenly have this new found interest. lol Thanks for the wonderful content. Honestly, you could turn this channel into a bi-weekly reality TV cooking and adventure show and I would absolutely tune in!
Same story here, it randomly appeared (although I do check regularly on traveling channels so it might be slightly related) and been hooked ever since... yesterday. xD
I have never been on a yacht. I don't plan on being on a yacht. I have nothing to do with yachting. Or cruising or anything else of that nature. Yet I remain intrigued by your videos. Absolutely fascinating and entertaining. I admire you for handling such an incredibly complex job. Love your videos. Thank you.
As a Lead Captain of a Private/Charter Aircraft, I admire your professionalism and attention to detail. No need to apologize as I shall continue following you as long as you're posting. Truly enjoy the content and editing. Hope you and Tiley can continue working together. You guys make a good team.
Loved this repost. Tilly and you had fantastic chemistry. Hoping the both of you find that great friend/co worker again in your next adventure. Cheers!
I've commented in previous videos that our world-renowned crew chef would enjoy visiting other crew chefs and helping them make some of their favorite meals, sharing chef tricks to make great meals with minimal hassle and work, helpful tools, favorite knives and other utensils, etc., etc. She has lots of contacts already such as Jared Watney, the captains and owners of the other yachts she got to know in San Diego when the ship which shall not be named was hauled out for major work, and was sitting for weeks next to those other yachts. She fired up their pizza making oven and lots of folks picked their own ingredients for their pizza. A good time was had by all, but someone somewhere apparently objected to her videoing, and here we are.
I’ve been through culinary school. Have worked in many restaurants. And I just am amazed by what yacht chefs can do in a galley with zero staff. Yes I watch all the “Below Deck” shows, literally just to watch the chef lol. When they go all “real world” with the trips to bars on nights off that’s when I wait for the next episode lol. In constant amazement of seeing 5 ⭐️ food from such a tiny galley.
The more I think about it the more I am impressed with the way you're able to make such a variety of dishes (many cuisines, both fancier for guests and less fancy but still good for the crew, meals, snacks) and also regularly know how much of each thing you're going to need to get so when you do your shopping trip you're spot on so stuff doesn't go to waste but you also don't run out between the limited shopping stops you get. Then you also need to be flexible if the guests tastes change and they want something different. To layer on top of all that, what I'm becoming more and more impressed by is the way you need to do this, all the time, weeks on end, and you manage to keep a great energy and spirit about all of it. Like... impressive.
I don't know about super yachts, but having worked on oil rigs, both offshore, and on land, I know that good food plays a massive part in keeping people happy. It doesn't have to be Michelin star quality or presentation, but it really makes a difference when the camp boss/head chef thinks about what they serve up. I was on a land rig where the rig crew created a petition to get rid of the cook, either they all went, or the cook went. In the end, the cook went.
Load out on a naval vessel follows a similar process. It's just a lot more work. When I ran the galley storeroom on one of my ships, we were required to carry sufficient food for 45 days for 250 officers and men. After receiving the food (on the pier or by helicopter), the freezer would be packed to the overhead with a wall of food in the door. I only had a thin crawl space to slink over the tops of the boxes to locate what was need for the next day. I admire the organization in your reefers and storerooms.
No appology necessary great to see your videos! Still find it amazing to get all the food, keep it fresh and prepare all those meals on some of the longer voyages you do!
Congrats!!! I really appreciate you sharing part of your life and the high quality dishes you girls cook. For foodies like me this channel is a must!!!
I LOVE your energy. Im always so excited to watch your videos (even if its a repost). Love what you are doing, I wish i had the money, id buy a super yacht and you will be the first person i would look to hire possibly permanently. The publicity you do is more than money could buy. As always, all the best in your current and future endeavors.
You guys work really hard and produce a very high quality product. Anybody who thinks life aboard a luxury yacht is a doddle is sorely mistaken..Cannot imagine that the owner replaces you guys with such pleasant, efficient galley crew. Wish you well.
Once word gets out, your channel will blow up. I already subscribe to Jared's channel and now I like him even more for encouraging you to start a channel. I sometimes forget just how much I love your channel until I watch it again for new content. Keep up the great work you are doing here and I absolutely love the vibe and attitude of those involved.
I watched a cruise ship stocking their ship before a voyage. Mind blowing to see the truck loads of the highest quality foods for restocking cruise ships before they leave out. Then the amount of people to handle and prepare all the food. 24 hours a day on cruise ships. Your a miniature picture of the cruise ships. But your work is so awesome as well. You do a great job. Plus your gorgeous and your husband is Captian. So cool..Good Morning Lady thanks for helping start my day. Or sometimes end it after a hard day. I work on land and you work on Sea. Lol

I got to know the channel because of the end of the contract with the owner of the yacht. I am saddened by what happened, but extremely happy to have discovered this fantastic content. It sounds crazy, but I would like to rent a yacht just to have the gastronomic experience you show in your videos. Companies should appreciate the publicity, especially in the charter business.
I am so sorry that you have to hide the name of your vessel now, but it does not take away from their fantastic quality! Thank you so much for making it work for now.
That is pretty stupid, that she have to hide the name of the vessel. It´s not TheCrewChefs fault though. But if i were the owner, I would see it as great exposure for the service I provide onboard and what great chefs we use .... 😃 But some people only see exposure in a negative way.🤔
@@liquidsnow1 I understand the sentiment, but I think the clientele that pays a 1/4 million a week for a trip do not shop for a yacht based upon public popularity and public popularity most likely hurts the brand.

How do you cool them down and how do you reheat them for best results. Do you half cook or full cook? Can you do an in depth video of your kitchen layout, appliances and tools. What do you have and not have due to space that a normal kitchen would have? How many square feet is the kitchen on the boat?

I love seeing these "mundane" tasks and the day to day work that is done on yachts.
