Here are some symptoms of your first outbreak: You may have a fever, a headache, and aches and pains throughout your body. In fact, it may feel like you have the flu. You might get a sore throat or your lymph nodes may become swollen.It also burns when you urinate and your entire pelvic area becomes inflamed. You may feel a tingling sensation, too. And you will have blisters show up, those are extremely painful especially when they burst open up. After they open a clear liquid comes out, then the blisters will scab over and begin itching!

I got it from the love from the love of my life. I've been stressed and a pimple like sore appeared ... I popped it and it spread more from outside to inside if my mouth. I knew one day it might happen for whatever reason and here it is. My first herpes outbreak I'm in between jobs and cars so my stress is HIGH. This was the last thing I needed. You can get through this. I still love my boyfriend. Individually it's very upsetting... don't continuously pop them. I used an ice cube and it went down a ton overnight. If you want to poke it use ear swaps. I don't have pain but the tingling sensation. I'm in the beginning stage of my first outbreak. I feel disgusting and ashamed but I'm not going to leave my boyfriend. I love him so much and we are all deserving of love. The best thing you can do is stay calm ... do a whole week of self care. Try to distract yourself from constantly thinking about it. Get through the week. You got this you will be feeling like yourself in no time. I cried all day myself and it was memorial day for me and my realization of my outbreak. Seeing family and visiting Graves at Indian burial ground. Everyone treated me normal and made me feel loved. My herpes is on the side of my mouth. So yeah not easy to hide. Try not to feel ashamed ... love you.You will get through this and pull through.
I'm so sorry, I m struggling too , I'm afraid to Date anyone ,I guess I'll be a Cat Lady or just live in my own little house with my little garden and have tons of Animals to keep me Company and God . 🕊️
This blows my mind, I was diagnosed with genital herpes a week ago. My first outbreak was nothing. It never bothered me, only itched when i was in the shower washing down there. Was more of an understanding, I don’t mess with the sore spot on my stuff. It won’t mess with me. Other than that, there was no problems at all. My first outbreak was a walk in the park.

Im experiencing my first outbreak. I’ve never experienced anything so terrible in my life. I can’t use the bathroom (both ways) im dreading every moment of this i feel like i wanna die. I feel like my employer just thinks im being overdramatic I’ve been missing work and its just been torture. Worst part is the person forced themselves inside me. Its just not fair.

That’s not true at all! I felt the exact same way. I fell in love with my partner but knew I had to disclose to him I had HSV…well what would you know, he was positive too! It’s way more common then we realize and usually the worst part about it is the stigma. It’s simply a skin disorder that may or may not ever effect you and if it does my suggestion would be to pay close attention to your body and if you notice any thing out of the ordinary immediately contact your Dr so that you can prevent any discomfort. ❤️❤️❤️
I had my first outbreak when I had strep I had a few cold sores but I never knew it was herpes. But basically since my immune system was so low it brought it out and I actually let it go for a few days because I tbought it was just a cut and by the time I had the doctors appointment it was horrible. Never had them since
I was just diagnosed and am in the midst of my first outbreak. My gyno said she thought I just knicked myself shaving and almost did not even test the sore. I am also in the midst of a case of bacterial vaginosis and strep throat. I don’t know a lot about this disease. And I’m honestly very scared and anxious and panicked. If anyone has some facts that could help me, please let me know.
The only reason I found out was because I went to urgent care for a yeast infection. I really wouldn’t have known otherwise, I know I’m lucky and mine is extremely mild. 🤷🏼♀️

I went for the same thing! I thought i had a yeast infection. Mine was not mild at all.
Symptoms?
I totally experienced pelvic pain. It was due to an inflammation of the lymph nodes located in the pelvic region (around the area in which the hip bone starts to curve downwards). From what I have been told, it’s not typical, but it does occur with some patients. :)

My first outbreak was so mild. I discovered two teeny tiny sores near my bottom will washing in the shower. I had to get my glasses on and a magnifying mirror. I prayed that it was just razor burn or irritation from some tight panties but something told me to go to the doctor. I got tested right away. The sores cleared within 2-3 days without taking medication and didn't experience any symptoms unless I touched the effected area. I got the call less than a week later and was absolutely devastated. I wonder if anyone else out there has had a similar experience having a mild first outbreak?

Kelsey Tabak go to a doctor that's the Only way you will know for sure. I cried when I found out but it's actually VERY common and a lot of people have it and don't know because they have mild outbreaks and don't go to the doctor. The stigma is worse than the disease.

Well I am wondering because my situation is I was hungover all day the day before, barely ate anything. So today I had sex in the morning, didnt feel tired. Got to the office, drank 2 mugs of coffee then a few hours felt pretty tired. Ate a sandwich, felt a bit better. Nothing tingling on my penis/shaft, although I did have a tingle/inch here and there. Nothing bad and nothing burning. Went to the bathroom many times to pee and had no pain in doing so. What do you think
My first outbreak was also more severe than the others, but I don't remember it being that bad, and with blisters either. Although I did have fever like symptoms. And was very tired, and it was VERY itchy and a little stinging pain in the area.
Some medications made me very tired and run down and just made me feel horrible.
But I found a new one now that I can Hardly feel. Its been 5 years since my last outbreak and it was only because of stressful exams and coupled with very strenuous exercise for several days in a row

I know this video is old but I just want to say I’m having my first outbreak and this is the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. Ive never shown symptoms before but I’ve been diagnosed with HSV1 for 2 years. I was told by my doctor that based on my results I have had it a very long time and the virus just always remained dormant. My partner is also HSV1 positive but hasn’t shown symptoms in years. My doctor told me that your first HSV1 outbreak can occur down stairs. …Well that’s what I’m experiencing and it’s excruciating 😢 peeing is the absolute worst. I have to bite the neck of my hoodie while peeing just to muffle my cries. I can’t sit, itching comes and goes and even sleeping is hard. The only thing that has helped with the peeing a little bit is holding a handful of toilet paper in my pee stream to help prevent it from hitting my sores and then patting my area with a baby wipe. I’m currently on day 4 of Valtrex and although each day I notice little improvements it’s still so painful. I’ve been using desitin on my sores along with a panty liner to help stay as clean as possible. Tylenol has been helping with the pain but I would not suggest using ibuprofen bc it almost made me vomit in conjunction with the Valtrex. Anyways, I know I’m on the mend but it’s just such a slow process. My heart goes out to all of you suffering. We’ll get through this together and we’ll be feeling better soon ❤
Hi, so sorry to hear that you're suffering that much. Some people say warm showers help them when they need to pee.
And it is true, hsv1 is becoming more and more common down there. Meaning, you can expect all of your outbreaks to be genital. It seems your body handled hsv2 better than hsv1.
I hope you get better soon! Get some Epsom salt baths, if you can. They usually help tremendously.
@christina so you have genital HSV-1 or HSV-2? Most STD doesn't recommend herpes test if no symptoms, so you got tested irrespecitve and found out you had HSV-1 in IgG antibody test?

How long after supposed first contact would you get first outbreak? If you think you have it but go weeks without outbreak the do you not have it?
Not necessary. One may never get OBs. If you are worried or have been exposed, take a test. But remember it is recommended to do it after 6 weeks, sometimes it even takes 6 months for antibodies to develop. Hope that helps
I had unprotected sex 3 months ago. I've had no outbreak, no ulcers or blisters, no fever. I've had occasional itching, nothing severe. Could I still have it? (no sex since )

I swear mine Developed into enciphalitis . My doctor kept telling me it was a yeast infection And to just deal with it. So I suffered by myself. Dealing with sensitivity to light intense headache, strange flashes of light in my peripheral vision and incredible pain my rectum was on fire, my anus was looking like chopped meat , my perianum split and was bleeding.
had to pee and poop in a basin of warm water in the tub because it was so painful. Then the blisters showed finally. I could get my Doctor to re. Examine me. By then I felt like I was dying. I was 3 weeks into a untreated initial outbreak. I had neurological problems I couldn't write my name on the forms at the doctor's office .

I have a question and I’m not sure if you talked about it in one of your videos but I recently had my first ob 2 months ago and my question is what I should expect within the first year or 2 with HSV 2 ? And how many outbreaks I can expect to have ? Since my first outbreak I’ve had 2 more but the medication helps a ton and I take it as soon as I get symptoms

When does primary outbreak symptoms appear?
It could be within 2 days, it could be few weeks, months or even never. You can be infected with herpes but not experience any symptoms. That's the tricky part

@@yaneizaperez3004 you're not alone but I suggest you go to a doctor for blood work, 2 in 5 people have herpes is pretty common , be strong and do it :) I am still waiting for my results and yes I'm very nervous
