@@NinjaGaiden-z7t not a dumb idea. If you can take out the crypto, reset the wallet and then deposit back into the Tangem with new phrases, then do it to be safe
Thanks for your great content. I’m trying to fully understand all aspects of Tangem before completing my setup. I plan to use a seed phrase and then reset and add a pass phrase. For clarity, will I have the “regular” wallet (based on the seed phrase and access pin) and a hidden wallet (requiring the access pin plus the pass phrase)? Will it be 2 distinct wallets with different balances and holdings? Or one wallet with an extra layer of security?
@@cyberscrillaWow, that’s a quick response. Thank you. To further clarify, entering the access pin defaults into wallet 1. If I wanted to access the hidden wallet, I would need to add the extra step of entering the pass phrase. Where would the “prompt “for this step reside? It couldn’t be too obvious or it kinda defeats the hidden wallet function!? I assume amounts and holdings could easily move between the 2 wallets?
I'm a newbie, if I bought a new tangem wallet and if I chose the no seed phrase option so does that mean my only backup will be those two or three card that I purchased ? And if I chose the seed phrase option does that mean I can also buy another backup card and import my current tangem wallet seed phrase on that new tangem card and make it as backup ? Thank you
The problem with these Tangem cards is, when you go through the prompts to create your wallet , creating a seed phrase isn't part of the process. So if you've moved funds onto your wallet, it's seemingly too late. This happened this morning. If you move funds back to an exchange to reset your Tangem cards, you'll get charged _again_ a transfer fee. So far, I am not liking the Tangem wallet. I think Ledger is more secure, even though their two-button system is sort of primitive.
@ The seed phrase is part of the setup process, what do you mean? It’s literally the third step: Scan card, tap other options, select seed phrase. And the fees have nothing to do with Tangem and everything to do with the blockchain network.
@@cyberscrilla"select seed phrase" isn't part of the set-up process. It asks for your password, which is different. Unless we are getting into semantics here. If someone says "seed phrase" im thinking of the 24 word back up that is associated with the recovery process.
technically if you had 3 cards, it looks like you can choose to reset just one. then you would be able to create a new wallet with a seed phrase on that one wallet and transfer the crypto from the original wallet that is still on the 2 cards that haven't been reset right? and then after that you would be good to fully factory reset the other two cards right? Well there was that message saying your good to create a new wallet after the 3rd card was reset so maybe does tangem not let you create a new wallet until all 3 are reset? Of course even if that's possible the absolute safest way would still be to just move funds somewhere else first like you mentioned.
No, because you need at least 2 cards to create a wallet. So that wouldn’t work unless you have 4 cards. And even then, that could be a pain. But it could be done I suppose
I just learned through this video that I set up my wallet without a seed phrase. 1. Why is this even allowed? 2. I set up an access code. I thought that was used to creat the seed phrase in the background. What’s the access code for then?
Because you can setup Tangem as a seedless wallet. Many people don’t like to have to keep track of a seed, so they may use the seedless option. The access code prevents someone from being able to steal your cards and use it on their phone (it’s a password for the cards).
Great question! The seed phrase should be mandatory. If you go seedless, if you lose your cards you are screwed. 😅. Unlikely to happen, but _still_ ....
Whenever I try to send crypto to my Tangem, I copy and paste the address from Tangem into the exchange and yet, I get an invalid address. Do you know what I did wrong?
It sounds like you’re copying an address from the wrong network. The blockchain network you select to send the crypto from the exchange must match the network you’re using copying from your Tangem wallet.

Since Tangem only has you verify 3 of the words in your seed phrase, is there a way to test your seed phrase before moving your crypto to the wallet? Would resetting after initial setup and then importing the phrase be advisable or work?
Yes, that would be the best way to test it. Set up the seed phrase, write it down, finish the Wallet set up process, then factory reset all your cards and import to seed phrase.

i saw a video a tangem wallet can connect to rabby wallet. and i decide to buy under your code. but my question is can i connect my tangem wallet to Ronin wallet? most of my asset is in ronin ecosystem.
Tangem wallet does not connect to any third party wallets. You can use WalletConnect to connect dApps, but not other wallets. But do this at your own risk as you make it a hot wallet by connecting to external websites and signing transaction approvals
So I guess you heard about the glitch that happened with Tangem. Where the seed phrase showed up in log files if you had opened a wallet and messaged them within 7 days. Whats your opinion on this, are we still safe?
I posted about it under my community tab. First off, no seed phrase was ever exposed. The private key was. And only 0.1% of users experienced that issue. Second, yes, the bug was fixed immediately. I’m still using my wallet per usual.
Thank you for these helpful videos, so is there a clear winner here ? Seed or seedless ? Seems like a lot people have anxiety of losing or forgetting their seed and rather go with the alternate option.
Will we get a video about the private keys being found in email logs between customers and Tangem support?? This is horrible!! Do we ditch Tangem all together, or reset our cards and go seedless??
@SynisterProductions Tangem addressed this in detail about an hour ago. I’m not concerned as the bug has been fixed and less than 0.1% of users even experienced the issue. You can see their statement in their discord: discord.com/channels/1097839677387583589/1323346464155504731 As for what I am doing: Just update the app. I’m still using my Tangem wallet with a seed phrase. And I didn’t generate any reports so my keys were never exposed. There have been no losses as a result of this bug. Tangem fixed it promptly, which is what I’d expect in tech company to do.
Shouldn’t take hours. Sounds like an issue with the exchange. Are you sure you haven’t received it? You already added XRP to the manage tokens page in the Tangem app? Did you send it on the right network?
@@cyberscrilla Hi there, I wrote to my exchange and they did not process it because I had to do extra verification. All fixed now. Would have been nice if they emailed me as to why it didn't send. I stewed all night wondering what was happening. Thanks for answering.
Yes, you can import your ledger seed phrase into Tangem to access your crypto. Just know Tangem doesn’t support multiple addresses yet. So fro example, if you have use Ethereum addresses in your Ledger wallet, only one will appear in Tangem. But if you just use one address per network, you’re good to go.
Hi, to a question of multiple Wallets per Card I found this reply from Ana (she is allegedly a Tangem employee) on Reddit: "But what you are looking for is multiple addresses. The feature of multiple addresses for one coin is not available yet, but is on our roadmap for the wallet. Currently, each token can have just one static address." This reply was made a year ago, Can you pls comment on this? is it still on the roadmap, but so complicated, Tangem could not program it in a year. or it was removed from the roadmap due to some marketing considerations (to sell more cards ?) ...I would not like to use the address of my larger account on a daily basis, so I need at least another wallet to be safer, I don't want to believe that I need two sets of cards for this simple thing
I received the Shiba Inu 3 pack cards . I have not been able to set up the seed phrase. I factory reset about 3 times now and still not able to click on other options. On the set up Help
The Shiba Inu are 1.0 cards they don’t support using a seed phrase. I’m assuming you got it in the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal Tangem had. They said it would be possible you’d receive a pack of 1.0 cards as the gift pack-looks like you did. No biggie, just them as is and use the other pack with a seed phrase
No. You can generate the seed phrase with the phone disconnected from the internet if you want, but the next step after requires an internet connection.

I covered this in a post yesterday. The seed phrase was not exposed, the private key was. To sum it up, there was a bug, Tangem fixed it, no wallets were compromised, im continuing to use Tangem per usual. I simply updated the app.

Never tried it. With all the exchange fees, swap fees, and networks fees I doubt that would work unless you had 10s of thousands of dollars worth to make it worth the arbitrage.
@@cyberscrilla I mean you made a tutorial after the previous tutorial on resetting tangem, now the tutorial starts how to do the application and delete it then backup recovery with tangem using the card
Never setup a hardware wallet without a seed phrase. If you do then you are accepting that if anything happens to Tangem's software to make it unavailable for any reason then your crypto is gone forever.
It’s a tough one ……. loosing 3 cards , or loosing 3 seed phrase backup papers for example . Seed phrases are scary and a direct key to your crypto where as 3 cards distributed in 3 locations ?
@adrianlevi2244 You're missing the point. The cards rely on Tangem's software. If Tangem goes out of business, your cards would be useless and your crypto would be inaccessible.
@adrianlevi2244 Yes, and at least on android you could use the code to compile a working replacment app and potentially get everything working and recover the crypto if you knew what you were doing, but is that really reasonable when you could just securely store a seed phrase?
I've pondered on such questions. No super computer in the future could unlock my seedphrase - if I never had one. versus Tangem software failing and losing access that way
I lost my seed phrase “wrote it on paper and threw it out” I know I’m really smart I just transfered my stuff to …. Oh he just explained what I did lol just heared jt
No. I’m saying if you have the 2.0 cards currently setup as a seedless wallet and you want to change to a seed phrase, this is the process to do it. Make sense?

Thanks for the video. I have tokens such as SOL & ADA in my tangem wallet, will i still receive airdrops in tangem related to my tokens? Is this possible?
Yes. Moreso depends how the airdrop works, not what wallet you hold it in
hey can I get some help? I am going through this process but when I try to reset my second card it says I have the wrong card. I have tried multiple times and checked it is a separate card but my phone does not recognize it... why is it doing this? can I go forth with resetting my wallet only on one of the cards? super weird it doesn't register my second card even though I have triple checked multiple times and have verified its the right card. my phone just doesn't recognize it. Any help is appreciated
It just sounds like you’re scanning the wrong card. Try scanning all your cards until it works.
I’m not scanning the wrong card. I have checked and tried MULTIPLE times using the correct card. Very frustrating.
i saw a video a tangem wallet can connect to rabby wallet. and i decide to buy under your code. but my question is can i connect my tangem wallet to Ronin wallet? most of my asset is in ronin ecosystem.
Tangem wallet does not connect to any third party wallets. You can use WalletConnect to connect dApps, but not other wallets. But do this at your own risk as you make it a hot wallet by connecting to external websites and signing transaction approvals
@cyberscrilla one last question sir. Is the address in your tangem wallet is EVM compatible address?
So I guess you heard about the glitch that happened with Tangem. Where the seed phrase showed up in log files if you had opened a wallet and messaged them within 7 days. Whats your opinion on this, are we still safe?
I posted about it under my community tab.
First off, no seed phrase was ever exposed. The private key was. And only 0.1% of users experienced that issue.
Second, yes, the bug was fixed immediately. I’m still using my wallet per usual.
@cyberscrilla I saw it right after I left the comment thanks
Thank you for these helpful videos, so is there a clear winner here ? Seed or seedless ? Seems like a lot people have anxiety of losing or forgetting their seed and rather go with the alternate option.
I give my opinions on the seed vs seedless options on this video: ruclips.net/video/m3u1breR5SE/видео.htmlsi=E4EJgTvf0LLLE_01
Hello Alex I just received tangem 2 card today but whish card it's main for tangem for setup also it's 2.0 thanks
Doesn’t matter which is main. Whichever you scan first is considered the primary card during the setup process.
@cyberscrilla
Thanks bro ✌️
Will we get a video about the private keys being found in email logs between customers and Tangem support?? This is horrible!! Do we ditch Tangem all together, or reset our cards and go seedless??
@SynisterProductions Tangem addressed this in detail about an hour ago. I’m not concerned as the bug has been fixed and less than 0.1% of users even experienced the issue.
You can see their statement in their discord:

As for what I am doing: Just update the app. I’m still using my Tangem wallet with a seed phrase. And I didn’t generate any reports so my keys were never exposed.
There have been no losses as a result of this bug. Tangem fixed it promptly, which is what I’d expect in tech company to do.
@@cyberscrillaI experienced it this morning when I tried to email support. I was sort of shocked when I saw it 😮. I almost sent the email too 🙄
Hi there, Is it normal for it to take hours for XRP to deposit into my Tangem. I did everything correctly and haven't received it.
How do I know my card is not tempered? I am seeing no seal.
The app verifies the cards are authentic. If it isn’t authentic a message would popup and you wouldn’t be able to setup the wallet.
Hi can I import my ledger to tangem? Just bought mine fron your link
Hi, to a question of multiple Wallets per Card I found this reply from Ana (she is allegedly a Tangem employee) on Reddit:
"But what you are looking for is multiple addresses. The feature of multiple addresses for one coin is not available yet, but is on our roadmap for the wallet. Currently, each token can have just one static address."
This reply was made a year ago, Can you pls comment on this? is it still on the roadmap, but so complicated, Tangem could not program it in a year. or it was removed from the roadmap due to some marketing considerations (to sell more cards ?)
...I would not like to use the address of my larger account on a daily basis, so I need at least another wallet to be safer, I don't want to believe that I need two sets of cards for this simple thing
Multiple address support is coming early 2025 last I heard a week or two ago
@@cyberscrilla That sounds great! Thank you.
Are you gonna make a video on those new security issues where Tangem literally put the private key in support emails?
Tangem has addressed the topic in their discord in detail: discord.com/channels/1097839677387583589/1323346464155504731
@@cyberscrillaso why wouldn't you cover it ?

I received the Shiba Inu 3 pack cards . I have not been able to set up the seed phrase. I factory reset about 3 times now and still not able to click on other options. On the set up
Help
The Shiba Inu are 1.0 cards they don’t support using a seed phrase. I’m assuming you got it in the buy 1 get 1 50% off deal Tangem had.
They said it would be possible you’d receive a pack of 1.0 cards as the gift pack-looks like you did.
No biggie, just them as is and use the other pack with a seed phrase
Oh ok thanks
👍
Is there a possibility for Tangem to introduce a Bitcoin only Tangem?
Possibility, always. Likely, no.
Is the seed phrase generated offline, would it work on airplane mode
No.
You can generate the seed phrase with the phone disconnected from the internet if you want, but the next step after requires an internet connection.
How do you recover your wallet if you lose your Tangem cards?
Import your seed phrase into a new wallet (any brand)
But is a seed phrase really needed? Isn’t it safer to just have the password given you have 3 cards anyway in case you loose one.
That’s up to you to decide. I offered my opinions on this matter in another video: ruclips.net/video/m3u1breR5SE/видео.htmlsi=q6dVTkqBmxXwbZlD
How is it possible that you'll lose your currency if it's on the block chain?
If you lose the key to access it, well then, it’s considered a loss to you.
@@cyberscrilla So, your access code that you set up is your key to your assets on the block chain? Like your seed phrase?
Hey Cyber Scrilla, great video as always - super informative! 👌
I wanted to ask if you could share your thoughts on the Tangem security issue, where the seed phrase was stored in support logs. This topic caused quite a stir, and I’d really value your perspective on how serious you think this issue is.
Thanks a lot, and keep up the great work! 🚀🔒
I covered this in a post yesterday. The seed phrase was not exposed, the private key was.
To sum it up, there was a bug, Tangem fixed it, no wallets were compromised, im continuing to use Tangem per usual. I simply updated the app.
@ thank you for the reply!
@ 🫡
how to sing out of tangem account ?
No such thing.
Hello I'm new to crypto and have alot of questions. How could I get in touch with you to ask questions? Email?
I don’t offer consulting. I recommend watching my crypto masterclass video. It will likely answer a lot of questions you might have: ruclips.net/video/fbut5dLecrs/видео.htmlsi=ZWtq_y8be-lO9D4a
@@cyberscrilla thank you for the reply. I'll watch the video.
Can you view your Tangem wallet on different devices?
Yes, you can download the Tangem app app on another phone, scan a card, enter your access code, and then you can manage/view it as you please
@@cyberscrilla Cool I have really enjoyed watching all your content. You have been a great help? I did not know much about cold wallets? Thank you. I am purchasing Tangen to use.
Great information, thank you 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Have you done a video about crypto arbitrage?
What about it specifically?
@@cyberscrillaI’ve seen a few videos about buying XRP low on one exchange, sending it to another that has a higher price and swapping it to USDC or USDT and then sending it back to the first exchange and swapping for XRP again. Repeat cycle and capture the compounding % difference between the prices on 2 exchanges.
Never tried it. With all the exchange fees, swap fees, and networks fees I doubt that would work unless you had 10s of thousands of dollars worth to make it worth the arbitrage.
pass phrase, you forgot the most import step ..
No. I covered that in another video
i did setup my tangem with 12 words seed phrase is 12 words seed phrase save enough? nobody just gonna guess it randomly no?
No, virtually impossible to guess even a 12 word seed phrase. Not even a super computer could guess it
Good looking out🎉
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment 🤝
Nice please make a tutorial on recovering tangem wallet using tangem card backup!!
What do you mean?
@@cyberscrilla I mean you made a tutorial after the previous tutorial on resetting tangem, now the tutorial starts how to do the application and delete it then backup recovery with tangem using the card
The Wallet Man. 👍
@ I see - but the software is open source now isn’t it ?
@adrianlevi2244 Yes, and at least on android you could use the code to compile a working replacment app and potentially get everything working and recover the crypto if you knew what you were doing, but is that really reasonable when you could just securely store a seed phrase?
I've pondered on such questions.
No super computer in the future could unlock my seedphrase - if I never had one. versus Tangem software failing and losing access that way
I lost my seed phrase “wrote it on paper and threw it out” I know I’m really smart
I just transfered my stuff to ….
Oh he just explained what I did lol just heared jt
Nice to have this flexibility ❤ but I will set it up with seed phrase itself right from start
That’s the way to do it 👍
Are you telling me that I have 2.0 cards and need to restore them to input the seed phrase, or we risk losing our funds?
SERIOUSLY?
No. I’m saying if you have the 2.0 cards currently setup as a seedless wallet and you want to change to a seed phrase, this is the process to do it. Make sense?
This is another great video what do you think NGRAVE cold WALLET thanks
