The belt and pulleys a must if you buy a 335i, I had an idler pulley shred my belt and got sucked into the front main seal. Replacing that seal cost me a lot in custom BMW tools, the seal was ten dollars. One ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The pulleys are made of plastic and wear out replace them before they fail
Your point on adding more power before updating maintenance is so true! I did that, and on the first test drive on stage 1+ I went through a coil, i replaced the one, then the others went one by one until they were all replaced.
Man I’m currently wanting to buy a n54 and I’m kind of on the fence but your videos are definitely a very good resource. I love how luxurious they are and the tuning potential is insane, and I don’t really have a strict budget but at the same time I don’t want to buy a money pit.
Just what I needed! bought a 2009 335i from the dealer for $7,000. I really like it. Gotta get a couple leaks fixed. Gonna wait til Spring to see if I want MODS. Everyone warning me against it. Just got tint $180, Eonon 7 inch head unit $135, wrapped interior with Carbon fiber, ordered Angel eyes, spoiler, door projectors, carbon fiber mirror cover, redyed leather, smoked blinkers, etc. its fun! watching lots of videos
You got the wrong head unit bud. Look on Ali express for “e90 Android 9.0 10.25” you cut a hole in the dash and it sits on top looks just like the new units. If you get one get one with a 720p hd display
I aint cutting no hole in my dash brother. Got the $400 Eonon for $135. Pretty happy with it
if your really serious, get the PROPER BMW test tools, INPA, ISTA REINGHOLD, a dedicated laptop and a cable

I need some help, what are common cause of limp mode on a 328xi ? I went to a shop and they said they think it’s the valve cover leaking piling into my spark plugs causing limp mode, this seems fishy to me, is that even a possible cause?

It’s decent but it is an annual subscription in order to use it. I recommend BimmerCode it’s all one time costs. Worst case scenario if you are a BMWCCA member, reach out to people in your local group and see if they have some you could borrow
Brad Salluom that’s why I’m glad I got it before it was annual subscription. It works great and gives you a lot of other data. Easy coding too.
