To anyone following this instructional video. I tried this exact adhesive myself and it didn’t work at all. Regular gorilla glue gel with clamps and a ruler to help spread the force worked perfectly. Not bashing the creator of this video, just trying to help everyone out!
I just purchased a 12 r/t challenger manual for my birthday 12/27 I had to have it lol I didn't mind that the dashboard was pucked because I knew I was going to find a fix on RUclips thanks 😊
Why does nobody show how to remove the d@mn vent? Mine is in there so tight I can’t even get a good trim tool in there. It’d help if I knew exactly where the clips were.
I tried contact cement. Applied thin amount to both surfaces, wait 15 minutes then pressed together. Thought it was good until 3 days later and it had lifted again. Took it apart figuring I'd find the contact cement failed sticking to the plastic. NOPE! it failed to stick to the foam. Too slick. This time, I sanded the foam lightly with 120 grit sand paper to give the adhesive something to bite to. Instead of contact cement, I used plastic epoxy since I had it and it works really good on the cracked ABS dash panels. I'm hoping it works. After 30 minutes, I removed the clamps except for 1 as it was stuck solid. Finally got it free and it had a tiny bit of epoxy on it that stuck to the foam and plastic really well. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Holy smokes, I can’t even handle how much glue is dripping down inside the dash 🤣 Thanks for the video, my Challenger is doing this so I’m glad to know it’s an easy fix! Does anyone know if the dash ever has to be removed (like to have the airbag parts replaced for the recall) if this fix will make that harder to accomplish without messing things up?
This does not bother me at all in my challenger, it's not a big deal to me, so if someone don't want to see it ...Then get out or buy me another one, at the the end of the day, My baby still look good✌️
What kind of clamp did you use? My Charger has this problem and it’s driving me insane but I’ve asked around and nobody seems to know how to fix it without glueing it to the trim so this is the best video I’ve seen! Thank you!

Has your repair with Gorilla Glue Gel continued to hold the dash in place?
i user krazy glue. Been holding on for a year now

Cool glad it was usefull
I used construction adhesive to fix my 2010 charger dash. Worked great

Man I have been searching for this fix forever. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have a 12 RT and mine started to warp as early as 2015.
No problem 👍

Skip to the end ..”I had to break all of them on this one”🤣🤣🤣
Need to use wire and drill small holes. Fixed mine with no glue.

I actually wanted to see how you removed the vent
It pops in all you need is some trim tools and a delicate touch but they still break sadly
If only there was a fix like this for the '10-'13 Mazda3s...
Should work on any car cant really hurt to try.

Flat tip vise grips Lowes, Home depot and even small hardware stores have them
Tyler Andrews thanks! Did you set something on top to clamp with it?
@@TormentedMiind I used a piece of aluminum angle stock I had laying around most hard ware stores have this stuff
Tyler Andrews thanks so much! Appreciate you and this video!!
What touch screen radio do you have in there? Looking for a good one to put in mine
That was the factory one...
Where did you get the dash mat?
Cover king
This exact problem is happening right now in my challenger. The dealership told me I'd have to replace the whole dash at 3 grand...
Of course they would recommend the most expensive option right 😢
Just for it to warp again in 3 yrs instead of fixing the original problem why it curls up in the first place
Wow.. same thing happened to my Challenger, is this something common? Try to get it fixed.. don't know where to go
Yeah it's common in hot areas, not really that hard to repair.
my 2009 challenger did the some thing
Now I know exactly what I’m not doing lol getting that shi everywhere I wouldn’t recommend whatever you are using try something else.
What kind of glue was that
Epoxy I bought at the parts store.
I need mine done
Is it still holding?
Yeah it's still holding my charger is too after a several years
Yeah right
@@stuartcraig6381 do you have something more to say?
What kind of glue

All the prep work and you use a flat head to apply the adhesive 🤦♂️😆
What ever works
Aftermarket bodyman
That jb weld is gonna off gas and stink every time you run your hvac for the next 10 years 😬
I fixed my charger this way years ago and not one problem yet, if it starts to bubble I'll fix it again.
