You could have transfered all the HDD data, while it was still in the computer to the SSD. Simply hook up that cable to the SDD and into a usb port. You do need a program called ' Wizard ' something or other. But there are a few programmes that will do this. It's a useful tool you can also use to wipe harddrives.

@The Real Blackpill how long is the startup time? Mine with only a hard drive boots up in like 5 minutes, and another 5 minutes to login and load the apps and stuff
I think the problem appear when you connect too many cheep products/cheep ssd and cheap adapter/. It just cause many problems and as you sad doesn't worthy to buy it.
