I understand that the super thick foam is fun and looks cool but personally I think a bit more water in the foam does a better job with actually pulling debris off the paint. It depends on the soap but in general I like my foam to dwell for maybe 15-20 seconds and then start running. People tend to set their foam cannons at maximum dryness and leave it there but I like to find that balance. Not as fun I guess but at the end of the day I just want a clean car.
You are 100% correct. This looks cool, but it won’t be doing its job properly.. the foam needs to start dripping over and take away the grime with it. If you do it properly, when it comes to the hand wash your sponge will still be clean after.

As a firefighter, we are taught if, the car is electric to just keep everything around it from burning. Only way to put out a Tesla fire is to fully submerge the car in water for several days.

You have to put suds on the ground so that debris doesent come up and ruin the work you just did. Same as starting from the top step when sweeping.
