Pokemon will be here in 30 years. Plenty of memories ahead. The negative influences mentioned won't last that long. Let's keep the hobby positive and outlast them all.
You have my support buddy. 😊

Thanks Scott for all the videos these years. Your influence on RUclips and E4 is the main reason I realized how much depth this hobby and I continue to enjoy it as an adult for 7 years going strong. The biggest compliment I can pay you is that you are humble for your extraordinary success.

If I could assign a PSA grade to the human being called Scott Pratte it wouldn't be PSA 10 that's too easy. It'd be AUTHENTIC because that's what you are, Scott. I really appreciate that about you. You don't have to be like the others. You being your genuine, authentic self and putting yourself out there is why a lot of us are here. You don't need me to tell you to keep being you because we know that's exactly what you're gonna do! Sending good vibes and wish you the best with your personal circumstances whatever they are

I completely agree!! I have been collecting for a while and even ask some signature cards from Mr. Smpratte and i did won some cool cards from the latest auction last night but i reallized that im starting to question my self if about if i really need this small art beside the financial strees and emotional damage of very day ang night of chansing that high of getting the beautiful and rarest card of the month. Me and kids are always together opening evey pack was such a rewarding experience but not that they have grown and move on with different interest..
I found me self last night bidding at 4 am in the morning and once i have won some amazing card andi just realized im alone by myself and feeling extremely lonely. Asking my self if this is going to my future whem i become pensioner?? I would love to hear from Mr.Smpratte.
I know that i just need to balance my lifestyle but i really don't know where to start!

It dawned on me the other day actually that of all the people I subscribe to on YT my favourite creators are the ones who rarely upload yet produce the most wholesome and humble content. Quality over quantity I say.
People like you Scott are the wind to the sails that move the hobby forwards and we are all very lucky to have you, even if that's for a short while whenever you have time to spare. I for one am grateful for it.

Your content was one of the biggest reasons I am so invested in this hobby and nothing has changed. You are doing your best and you can't control the people that are uncivilized in this hobby, whether they do it here or else where. Let's just accept those characters and help guide them to the light and if they don't want to see it, it's on them.

You're not the only intellectual individual to talk about mental health and content creation lately, and I think it's a very interesting philosophical topic for today, as you say, the people that COULD do something about it, don't yet care to truly understand how their smart TV is smart. The argument is not something you want to experience in real life, interestingly, this is what I was alluding to in a previous QnA question... All the best chi, mojo, luck to ya' SMPratte!

I just wanted to say that you are the only chanel I watch regarding pokemon besides the occasional maxmoefoe regirock impression and rudys pokemon bathroom.
You truly combine the fun of the hobby and the economics behind it in a video with top notch thumbnail and an entertaining grandma house dweller who convinces us to go all in on shiny cardboard.
I just wanted to express that this is one of the only chanels I truly look forward to every new video after binging years of videos while jogging in the forest, listening to this guy explaining to me how the death of all life will be saturation.

Aso, I totally hear you on the negativity, seems a lot of people are hurting... and hurt people hurt people, I've been trying to learn how to be more empathetic towards others when I see it but it can be hard when people are just throwing blue shell after blue shell constantly.

I can relate. Sportscard world was ruined for me due to grown men screaming and guys putting down anything that wasnt "cool." Pokemon has been getting to that point w some content creators and I just feel that its cool to get amped up but man... grown men screaming about a $100 pull is just baffling to me. 4 figure and 5 figure cards I can understand getting hyped about but hearing someone scream over even a $30 full art... just feels too fake to me. Thats the aspect of the hobby I feel has ruined it for me. Many fake people in the industry. Its not about the hobby. Its about how much money they can lined their pockets with from views.
Ive never seen anything close to that from you and thats why ive grown to respect you have a person in this industry. I too have a decent bit of knowledge for the past as Ive been selling cards since i was a kid and can remember those grinding days. I have history that I tell younger kids these days and they get awed by it. Just seeing them interested in that keeps me around. I hope to one day get to meet you in person and just share a couple stories w you but im sure its hard w youre busy schedule. Keep doing you and I hope things get better for on all facets of life, mentally and emotionally. Stay strong brother!

I've experienced this sentiment on both ends as a content creator and consumer. The last thing you want is for your yums to be yucked involuntarily. We're living in unprecedented times. Totally understandable.

Ive been feeling this exact same thing lately. Bring me back to the TCBMs and love on early pokemon youtube. Those were the days. I couldn't do all the clout chasing either and i really think many people will begin to slide back to a more real experience in their youtube viewing one day. I find myself doing it already! No need to get complex just keep things real and simple.

Scott, sorry for the negativity you've been getting. I've noticed it as well. Way to take care of yourself, though. I've always appreciated your chill, down to earth perspective. Wishing you the absolute best!
