  • In this week's new video we explore the night sky, and not only do we do that, but we also take advantage of a brand new tool that was sent to me by a good friend.
Using the Sky Guider Pro we are able to take advantage of tracking the night sky as it passes so gracefully overhead. This is the first video of a new series of videos that I want to introduce to my channel.
I have a huge admiration for astrophotography and deep-sky astrophotography and it is something that I want to get better at. So here we go! In this video we take our first step in that direction. While on the surface, the final images produced in this video aren't portfolio-worthy, what they do is show me just how powerful using a star tracker can be!
I am so excited for what is to come and taking you along the journey, as we explore more of our beautiful night sky.
I should have put a tally up for how many times I said "wonderful" 😅

Love it mate. That final stacked frame is next level. That's an awesome tool to have in the kit. Looking forward to the next Milky Way star tracking vid.

Lovely piece of kit. I've used sequator before for the little bit of stacking that I've done and got the same random blue and red pixels. What a nice guy Dan is. Maybe I should've brought some chocolate when I visited last Jan. :)

Yeah I am curious about those spots myself, plenty to learn, understand and look forward to! Super delighted to be given the opportunity to have this new bit of gear, it's opened up a whole new world, a new fantastic point of view... 😂 But yeah gotta love a bit of chocolate, I don't think I have had a kik kat in about 20 years 🤣

What a nice piece of gear and props to Dan 😁 I hope to own a tracker someday once I’ve convinced myself to do more serious astro stuff. For now, since I only do Milky Way core, stacking multiple exposures work well enough. Looking forward to your learning about astro series. Looks like setting up the tracker has a learning curve attached to it. Great to see your experience and vlog Neil!

Thank you very much my friend ☺️ I have been a huge fan of astrophotography for many years and particularly of deep-sky astrophotography so I jumped at the opportunity Dan gave me! There is so much to learn and I cannot wait to point the camera deeper into the night sky!

Great job Neil, I’m looking forward to the next Astro video. I’m no longer counting on you to show us how Astro can be done I’m depending on you😂 so no pressure. It was truly enjoyable “thank you” and your camera crew 👏
