Has there ever been a GM in history that traded three of the most liked players in team history in two days? Jed Hoyer and Ricketts need to booed every chance they are in view. Anybody attending a Cubs game at Wrigley Field to support another tank is part of the problem. I watch at least parts of most games that aren't playing while I am at work. I won't watch a minute of a game for the rest of the season. The Cubs are apparently now the Pittsburgh Pirates. Whenever a high priced star reaches free agency they trade them.
As a cubs and baseball fan, this has been the the most depressing 24 hours as a cubs and baseball fan 😭😭😭!I’ve been tearing up since Rizzo got traded. He gave me lots of Good memories even tho he made me mad when he would strike out/make bad errors. I remember calling his 1st HR, before the game I told my dad “What if Javy Baez’s 1st HR is a game winner, that would be so cool if he did that today” and sure enough he hit that oppo shot against the Rockies that eventually won the cubs the game. It shocked me, my wife, and my son. We all lost our favorite Cubs...mine being Javy, my wife being Rizzo, and my son being Kimbrel...or as he calls him "The Crouching Penguin."
This is all just too devastating right now. I literally feel sick to my stomach thinking about all of the great players and talent that we have lost. Javy , thank you for the magic you brought to Chicago. You will be missed, never forgotten❤️💙❤️💙
As a cubs fan, I have to say that this is very depressing. Javy is my favorite player of all time. He was the first player i ever saw bat. He hit a homer that at bat, and then I knew he was the one. Love you Javy. Best of luck.

It would a horrendous decision if they did, it would cost more money than they’re worth. They didn’t get as much as they could (and probably should) have gotten for them but for the Cubs the time for winning is over, they need to rebuild and try again in half a decade.

The person I feel worst for is my mom. She's been a Cubs fan her whole life. She waited 40 years for a WS and those three guys gave it to her. Just seeing her the moment they won shows you how much she wanted it. Javy was by far her favorite but Bryant and Rizz were close seconds. This is the most she's hated the Cubs in her life. It was a rough few days for us Cubs fans...but we knew it was coming. Couldn't afford to pay them all. I understand the logic. The season is gone...we can try to re-sign them after the season is over. The farm system wasn't very good, and it needed to be replenished. May as well get something to look forward to. It still sucks though.

I’ll always remember them and think of them as cubs. Thank you so much for all the memories and exciting moments you guys have given all of us fans. We love you guys and we will miss you.
