- I caught so many fish! In this video I fish the beach at sunrise and then move to the bridge where I catch two nice keeper Pompano. The goal of the day was to complete a Pompano catch, clean and cook video. As usual the jig and teaser rig got the job done!

I love your channel!!! I live near Orlando and I always want to go to the ocean to fish but i get discouraged because I don't have a boat but seeing your videos gives me some hope for successful fishing at the ocean without a boat
Go to any pier and you can catch monster kingfish and barracuda. See what the rest are doing and copy them
I’m a land fisherman from Orlando there are a ton of places to fish from land. Find an area you like and keep fishing and eventually you will be on them.

There’s pros to living in Orlando. We can fish either coast, depending on what we want to target or the season. The gulf is great but it’s hard not to fish the Atlantic right now during the mullet run.
You can fish from most beach’s, piers etc so a boat is not needed. Fish find structure to fish. And the beach surf does have structure you know have ti learn to read the surf

J C I noticed on your rod your book holder is broke. You should cut that peace off so you don’t poke your self and I use 4 inch zip ties that have a hole. So you zip it on the bottom of the rod where it meets the foam handle on the rod. Than zipper down as tight as you can get it turned the way you like it. Than just cut off the extra peace. Than you have a hook holder made out of a zip tie. That works perfect I got a bunch of 500 I think for 10 bucks and they have like five different colors so I have red blue fluorescent green or yellow there’s a whole bunch of Colors to choose from. P.S. I hope that helps you. Fisherman’s dream out.
Hi JC today I caught a lot of 9" to 10 " inches , Pompano at Flagler Beach , kind of a repeat of a few days earlier in Crescent Beach not a single keeper, still was fun though.
wow the pompano bite picked up in the back water channel. Last month, mid-October, tried a Goofy Pompano Jig in the surf here in NC. Not many fish or bait fish were around, but quickly caught pompano, whiting and flounder. I put a small piece of shrimp on both hooks, seemed to help.

Them lady fish spin around and twist your loop knot and pop your jig off. If you don't set the hook or apply pressure when they bite they will shake themselves off the hook before you get them in. Works good for me.
Hey JC. Can you do a video on how to read a fish finder? I would love to hear how you use yours on the kayak.
I don't know much about fishing finders. I check water temps and see what the bottom looks like and that's about it.
Yo Radman, I do believe you caught a common tern, a cousin to the seagull. That Pompano looked very tasty. Sometime try 50/50 flour and parmesan with lemon pepper seasoning fried in butter.

Oh btw. I ordered the penn 8000 then I got a 6000 because they messed up the order. Then they sent me two 6000 and last Tuesday I got my 8000 Penn pursuit 4 lol so total three reels hahaha. I’m putting them all together for the surf lol. I figured I would give you good laugh lol😂

right now, fish near the major inlets connecting the Gulf of Mexico to the intercoastal waterway. At least in southwest Florida that's where to fish.

Interesting thing about sea robins, I hear that they’re considered “poor man’s lobster”, and despite their status among some anglers as trash fish, you can actually eat them. I caught one once as a teenager, but I was forced to throw it back much to my regret.

Strange question, but I just bought a Lexus sc400 which has similar dimensions to your solara. How do you fit so much dang stuff in your car ? Haha
My car is dedicated to fishing now. It's a real mess. Soon I'll be calling it rusty. I've got 275,000 miles on it and it runs great. The only problem is the key doesn't work in the driver's side door lock and the muffler had a blow out, sounds like a race car now, ha ha...You gotta love those Toyotas!

If you search the Internet you'll find some charts for different temperatures that fish like.
When will you start catching pompano again?
Spring and Fall are the best months, some will be biting soon!
I bought the same rod you have there based on one of your other videos. I always seem to have the same issue with them. The eyes separate and the ring comes lose or they break. I always rinse them off after being in saltwater. Is there some other trick or is this just to be expected? Thanks

@@RadReelingFishing I think it was the second one from the end. It broke off , weakened like it became corroded from saltwater? And the third one down, the inner ring came out and the eyelit broke.
Shakespeare/Berkeley did send a replacement so it was all good just wondering what I might be doing wrong.
@@kevinlinne Thanks for sharing. Both of my Shakespeare Excursion rods are in great condition after many uses. Hopefully they will stay that way. I did replace the tip on one of them because the insert came out.
@@kevinlinne if you are using a mono leader make sure you are not throwing heavy lures or plastics through the eyes. I have a 240$ tfo inshore it’s been replaced twice , once the reel tightener broke from bottom to top which is very unusual. Right now I have a new one and just flung the second to last eye out using a 4 once plastic mullet. I tried supper gluing it back in and it got stuck halfway in now the rod is useless cause the line raps around the eye holder. Short version of the rant is , it’s the leader that’s knocking out the glass and eyes more then likely. Try using a shorter leader line with a fg knot

I got hooked by a lady fish when I tried to grab him on the jetty rocks after I kept losing them, drove a treble hook all the way into my thumb. Super painful, and so was the tetanus shot.
ladyfish are probably responsible for more people getting hooks in their hands than any other fish.
