Thanks Z! Yeah, it’s like the only cheap small prime lens that makes no attempt at sharpness or even focus lol. It’s like using an old school point and shoot camera. FUN!
Honestly, I find current digital lenses have too much clarity and sharpness. No escaping the sharpness. Filters help black mist/bloom type filters help to dial it down but that tight sharp look still prevails. This silly cheap lens is ridiculously not sharp but does a better job with the colors and tone and is able to make some fun retro looks without it being so retro digital. looking. Oddly, using a screaming high ISO only improves the look . Glad you found this video lol
@@DanFarrar I like both extremes, the clarity you can get with a sharp lens on a digital camera and the randomness with a cheap lens, or a pinhole. I used the LOMO LC-A, back in the 80s, long before it became cool and expensive. Makes me laugh how much people pay for cameras, that used to cost so little, I could buy them when I was a kid.
Indeed. The LUMIX S series primes give me all the sharpness and clarity I could ever want. Love those 1.8 primes 😊. I never dreamed the cost of used gear would go so high either. Geez.
Love this video. Really cool editing, I love the way the color looks, and the storytelling is awesome. :-) You know me with AI, I’m against it 100%, even though I can’t avoid using it, like for example I’m using talk to text right now. :-)Anyway, this is great work right here, really awesome video, congratulations, and onward we go!
Truth is what you make it these days 😒 I suppose. I do know the photos I take are 100% genuine…I know that for sure. What I don’t know for sure is if I am AI. Maybe we are all AI? I’m not totally sure lol
@@DanFarrar Lol! I know my comment was a bit weird -I’m actually petty creeped out by Ai. I don’t think they should call it “intelligence” it’s artificial for sure, but it’s not thinking or intelligent if you ask me. But then I’m getting o-l-d. I know for sure you are not Ai, and I am not Ai. 😆
Absolutely love that lens! And of course your attitude! Great stuff Dan!!!!!!

@@DanFarrar Yeah man... but some of those photos had a SOUL to them! A great reminder of the impact and feeling of imperfections.
@@JerredZ I got lots of those lol 😂
Fujichrome Velvia was my favourite film. Ilford FP4 for black and white. Nice that I can get something similar with digital now.
