i agree that i think volk needs to mix in some wrestling because it’s just way too risky to strike with yair for 25 minutes, yair can land a nasty headkicking or something flashy.

Good analysis on Moreno... Moreno is an ANIMAL!!!! Pantoja is a bit overly confident and arrogant and needs a humbling and Moreno is the guy to do it. Moreno is so much more intelligent in the octagon than Pantoja... Pantoja has a similar intelligence as Figuiredo which isn't saying that much. However, he is a very aggressive dangerous matchup.
Pantoja beat moreno b4. Yes moreno has improved but so has pantoja. Pantoja has a really good chance of winning this fight. To play devils advocate. Because pantoja has a win over moreno theres a good chance he will be over confident and get caught by surprise. But it also works both ways. Fighters dont forget fights. Especially losses. Moreno might come out hestitant with the thought of that loss in the back of his mind. Should be a good fight and i think its closer to a pick em fight than most people are saying it is. No one is guarenteed this win and both equally can end up winning
Moreno is extremely overrated just because he fought Figueiredo. He's embarrassing playing with his Lego like a little kid I would love to see him getting KO'd a million times

The beating Jimmy Crute took and went on to survive him in his last fight against an explosive power puncher in Alonzo showed us he has great durability. Whether he wins the rematch kind of relies on whether he comes into this fight with a grappling approach or not. He's a great grappler but just strikes too much.

I think you're overwashing Hooker... Think about what he did when he fought Poirier... he was on an uprise, and nearly finished poirier in the 2nd round. Turner isn't necessarily more talented nor a better fighter, what he does have is the speed advantage... thats going to be the only differnce in this fight, But if the uprising hooker shows up.. it could be a war.

Figgy was 35 and looked like death, from the extreme weight cut. Pantoja is not going to be a gaunt looking guy during weigh-in, like Figgy. Moreno is better in the stand-up. And even if you argue Moreno is a bit better than Pantoja, in pure wrestling, his route to victory is a stand-up fight. On the mat, Pantoja's superior monkey business WILL eventually overwhelm Moreno (unless the champ hurts Pantoja before they go down) as he did eventually overwhelm Royval, who also is very elite & creative on the the mat.
You can make every excuse in the world, but nothing is more Important then championship rounds. moreno is a seasoned veteran in 5 round fights, and like Lucas said, pantoja has yet to prove himself in a 5 rounder. We can talk about how figgy wasn’t in his prime all we want, but what was Pantoja going up against in the meantime ? Brandon Royval ? Alex Perez ? Give me a breakkkk. Moreno slayed KKF and has officially sent figgy packing. Pantoja is gonna have to pray to god he submits Moreno when they’re dry, early in the first or 2nd round. If not, pantoja is not gonna be able to out-scramble Moreno in the later rounds. He’s gonna gas out and Moreno is gonna add up combos on him.
