I always envy Sarah's confidence in keeping her glasses on the rides, even some of the more intense ones you guys have done! I always get too scared I'm going to lose them but I just want to see things while I'm riding 😅

I hear that! I don't normally wear contacts, but I always put them in before going to a park! 👀
I’ve been wearing glasses for over 20 years and I’ve been on plenty of intense coasters, not once have they ever been close to falling off!
My nearsightedness is relatively mild so I ride without mine on the intense ones with a lot of airtime or inversions. But I'd keep them on here, since this is basically a fast dark ride. I've worn them on Expedition Everest without trouble. Not long ago I met an enthusiast at Canobie who had his glasses on with a sports strap on Untamed, their Eurofighter; he said he'd worn them that way on Steel Vengeance.

As a dark ride enthusiast, I am not a big fan of roller coasters but this is something I would ride, purely because it's a bunch of track in a show building with some really nice effects

@@freddy2B there is a switch track so you bypass the station while the other train is loading. you can see it at 1:00. also, you can see the other train while they're stopped at the final brake run at 1:41.

We likely won’t be able to make it out to Arctic Rescue till later this year or sometime next year

Also, I just realized they have 4 launched coasters in the park now. is that a record?
Ferrari World in the UAE also has four launched coasters: Formula Rossa, Turbo Track, Mission Ferrari, and Fiorano GT. (Technically 5 since Fiorano GT is actually two dueling coasters)
Definitely doesn’t live up to DarKastle. But it’s a great ride for little kids and people who don’t like drops on a roller coaster.
This ride looks like its gonna be a banger although it isn't as tall, fast, or long as other recent Intamins.

I've said from the beginning this ride is not going to do great things for the park. It's always going to have a long line and the ride experience is too minimal to make up for that. SeaWorld should've spent some money to build this thing upward for a longer ride time.
They couldn’t have. This building housed a dark ride, it’s miraculous they made it as long as they did. Look at backstage images, they crammed as much track into there as they could have
I went on member preview weekend, and I was very disappointed. Waited 2 hours, and was angry when I got to the front of the line and saw that each train only holds 10 riders and they were only running one train. Terrible capacity and ops. I hoped the ride would be redeeming, but there were barely any effects, you were basically just riding in a dark room. Luckily, it looks like they added more effects since then. Still wish they would add more, though.
I went Sunday and agree with you. Also waited 2 hours, but they were running two trains, at least by the time I was able to see the loading area. Probably a once and done for me unless I’m there with people who want to ride it.
Man I wanna go on that so bad. I went last month for the first time for a school music trip so it wasn’t open yet obviously. Probably gonna go next year with my dad when he flies out here. Kind of a far drive though, it’s like 5/6 hours.

It’s pretty accommodating.
This is a great starting coaster for kids before Verbolten. So, the next step up from Invadr.
Naw, invadr is way more intense than this
I think the reason why it has that dark section it’s because they’re trying to simulate the idea that you have escaped right before Ludwigs hit you with one more surprise attack
I think I might have preferred a real dark ride to replace DarKastle, instead of this neither-fish-nor-fowl. Especially since Verbolten does some of the same kinds of things. But at least there's something there.

Agreed. Sarah seemed to liked it I think, but yeah, Taylor wasn’t overly impressed or a fan. Once I get to that park, I’ll definitely ride this 100% - that won’t be for a while, but hopefully before I’m 40 in 8 years🫣😅.

Taylor isn’t impressed with anything unless it’s crazy intense, Extremely fast, or has lots of airtime.
One day, BGW will open a coaster with just one launch. Today is not that day, but I do believe they're up to the challenge.

Looks might be better than Laff Track and surely better than Dark Knight or Skull Mtn.
Are those backward-facing lights part of the ride or just for vloggers on this day? I saw at least two lights in the train on your back row POV video. It might be a different ride experience without the glare of those lights in your face, no?

Is it intense or just really fun?
It’s meant to be fun; the ride only approaches 35mph and the darkness makes one feel like it’s actually 40-50. Just as Verbolten’s darkness makes you feel like you’re going 50-60 even though it never approaches that speed.
Are there any drops? My daughter wants to ride this but is worried about a big drop
@ericl20881 I don't think there are any big drops, although it might be scary as it is in the dark but it is considered a family coaster. What other roller coasters and rides have you guys ridden?

I feel like this ride is a downgrade they i got so hyped for a crazy effects experience to really immerse you into the dark castle themed what they had before the original ride had WAY more theming that really made you feel immersed within the world I feel like if they went with a different ride type maybe added more story and drop tracks along with different rooms of the castle you'd enter I feel like there could have been a lot more ways to make this a super great ride.
Question is… is it better than Tron? Because tron was a huge disappointment
This and big bear mountain at Dollywood are both tremendously better than tron

No. Born and raised in MN. Land of terrific amounts of snow and 10,000 lakes. No interpretation makes those snowmobiles and not Jet-skis. Very awkward fail.
Yikes! Its just Verbolten. That’s disappointing. So much new technology has come out in the last 10 years this feels lazy.

Honestly, just looks like a two circuit verbolten to me. 🫤
The theming in the show building is already better than Verbolten's, and the intensity is also more moderate. But there's still room for improvement regarding theming, and the 48" minimum height is steep when its predecessor was 42" minimum. BGW has one of the worst lineups for families with kids under 48" in tow.

@@wutduh8697 BGW is not themed to animals at all. It's themed to European countries. Tampa is the animal themed Busch park.
@@wutduh8697 Every park needs something of a family lineup, to serve the families living in the cities the park is closest to. BGW has nothing for the adventurous kid bored with Sesame Street but too short for even InvadR.
