Amazing. The ship is incredibly stable, and the passengers are totally unfazed. Little do they know the terror and extreme discomfort they are being cheated out of by the ship's designers and stabilization system. Nor would any of them want to know...
I was on the Carnival Dream during Hurricane Irene, now that was horrible not sure of the size of the waves but im pretty sure they were over 30ft as our cabin was on deck 6 yet the front of the deck was closed off because the water was coming up so high. worst night of my life lol
Looking at the window view it would appear that the Aurora is running parallel to the waves. Their stabilizers are working miracles. God help them if their engines should give out for any reason (which happens more than you think). Nevertheless, it is impressive!
When I heard the general chitchat before the captain came on, it sounded a bit like the lido deck on the mms oosterdam. Is that what it was like? When We went on the oosterdam, the waves were quite big but just a few months before our next door neighbours where on it and they said it was like a millpond. The captain explained that there was a storm. It felt a bit strange it being my 1st cruise, but then I got use to it quite quickly. When We finally reached Hawaii and We stepped on land,
We were fine and no damage as far as I know. My friend's bad back and neck gave her trouble due to the motion so she was confined to the cabin during dinner but she enjoyed the experience.
id rather be skylarking on deck than skulking in the cable tiers like a bunch of bilge rats!!! Seriously though i was on a ship once where the whole ship stank of vomit because of people being seasick so i had to get out on deck to get some air
@musicfaculty We'd slowed to around 10kts for dinner but Juanita's room service pizza slid off the table! Thankfully it was only onto the bedside tables so she didn't end up with a hairy Pizza American. LOL!

I was there,an awful lot of people failed to turn up for dinner, ours was one of a few tables with a full complement of passengers.I enjoyed it.
i was on the independence back in 2012 and the winds went up to 106 knots
The pigs will not miss dinner !
@@josh3811 Independence is a lot bigger than Aurora and handles waves like a beast
that was when it hit Me and I was falling all over the place. Our 1st tour was a beach tour, but it was weird, I felt ok again once I swam.

love it i was one of the photographers on board and i was on deck 7 haha
See the graphics on the trees😊
@58southwinds Did you enjoy it? I did. I've only had a F11 up until then.
Someone on that table cannot convert feet to meteres or visaversa because that near 3 0 feet or just over
I remember it well !!!!!!!!!!!!!
@kingdaza1 Were you Darren, who had the birthday during the cruise?
@linerlovers yes haha that was the best cruise of all the cruises i went on!!
Would you rather have this or a turbulence on a plane?
When the captain said ber with us 😅 of course if you don't want to you can always get off.
Line dancing? Not bloody likely. One of my table companions tried to drag us all into that and the Aurora Singers.
The captain is speaking from a helicopter
I guess you one of the line dancers then? Can you remember where you stood?
were you ok marcie

What if a 100 foot rogue wave came. Could the ship handle that?
