Thank you so much! I’m an eighth grader but I moved up to jv early this year and we did practice at the same time as varsity. Every time we ran the mile I was either 1st or 2nd finished and I worked so hard during tryouts whether it be skill wise or physical fitness testing. I feel I did really well in tryouts but we only had 10 girls so everyone got on despite tryouts, so it bummed me out that I worked so hard just for everyone to get on the team despite their results whether they were poor or good, but next year we have a lot of girls coming up so I’m really excited to show the coaches what I have next year. As a defensive specialist and a recruit for the varsity team libero, I’m watching you as much as I can and taking so many notes and so much inspiration from you, so thanks so much!!
These are just good life tips, treat a job or school like this and you'll go far 🥇 Being a sports generalist helped me a lot in high school. I was a catcher through 8th grade but my HS team needed outfielders so I switched. I was a center in basketball but didn't really grow much in HS, our team needed forwards so that's how I found my spot!
Thank you bro. I am on varsity boys volleyball in freshman year!!! Thanks Delanie. You got great skills, great smile, and have insane dolphin dives. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thank you Delaney! I have tryouts for JV in August and we had our first open-gym Thursday. I have never played volleyball but I have family members who are great coaches and players, so hopefully I can get some help from them! We were sent home from open-gym with a workout packet with drills and workouts to prepare for the season ahead of us. I am nervous, but everyday I’m getting better! My best qualities right now are communication, hustle, and the ability to use constructive criticism, but I am working to learn more skills like a good strong serve and better accurate passes. I’ll be binge watching your channel all summer, thank you!
Those are great qualities to have, they can help make up for skill level as coaches can see that you have the heart and desire to learn and grow. Keep it up. also, keep a great attitude even if you get frustrated as you learn
Thank you for the tips! I’ve been hesitant to tryout for volleyball, mostly because i was focused on another sport. But I’m trying out my junior year, with one of my friends. These tips really helped, especially since I’m pretty new at the sport :)
