- This is a video I made in Plant City Florida of the future train viewing platform that is scheduled to be built by the end of 2013 for rail fanners to come and enjoy many trains that go through the historical town at about 25 per day. The platform will have a 13 foot tall observation deck with a monitor to tell when a train is coming through to view.

Thank you. I purchased it at the Florida Railroad Museum for 17 bucks

Nice long hood forward catch and cool that there building the viewing platform for u guys
I can't wait to video them building it
wow! its about time plant city is getting its own railfaning platform I wish south florida had a ralfaning platform like that!
Yes it was announced about 2 weeks in the Plant City Paper and on the internet
Great Video Alan! Once it's done I might come down there my self!
I know this is an older video but thanks for the informative background. Fun to hear about. Glad they are helping out the railfans!
I remember those good times.
Wow the place you live in is amazing I love trains and I wish I could go to the train viewing platform and I haven’t seen any CSX or Amtrak Sivier stars but I’ve seen Amtrak wolverine and CN and NS and CP rail
A great site, used to live in the area, makes me want to move back.
Thanks Vinny
You are very welcomed
awesome when i graduate high school ill have to visit my grandparents in bradenton and come down for the day
Awesome and Timeless !!
Great video! Happy 600th!!!
That would be nice.. Let me know when you head this way.
Thanks for the update Alan, Ed in Baldwin
Awesome Video Alan! Congrats on hitting 600 videos! They really need to build some train viewing platform here in New Jersey. As you know, there are some great places to railfan in New Jersey!
Wow! I need to make it down there
wow, id love one of those to be build in my area
Thanks to Hunter Harrison We barely get 10 a day through here now.
20-25 Trains a day through Plant City, Florida, pretty good for Train Spotting. The CN Watrous Subdivision in Saskatchewan, gets approximately 30 Trains a day.
Yes I can't wait. And to meet all the rail fans there.
Alen' you know what would be a nice touch to go along with the museum. To have just 1 working "SEMAPHORE SIGNAL" where the current traffic light style signal is' easy to imagine.
Yes I was filming one day at the car show. Also I have a video on youtube with my own built G scale railroad in my backyard.
Alan, congratulations on your 600th video!
I agree with you many more: Plant City needs a railfan viewing area so that we railfans can view and film trains that pass through Plant City from a much safer area. I am also glad that CSX is helping out towards the costs of building the viewing area.
I can't wait until it's all said and done on the viewing area.
That was Great! I wish i could come down and see trains go by the Double Diamond in plant city FL, But unfortunately, I'm in MD. =(
filmer765 yeah. I'm in South Carolina
You guys are so lucky. I don't even get to see these trains.
Most of all the lines are single track and both the A line and S line are.
cool I hope to get down there
There will be a good one today at 4:00 PM Train catches on fire
nice CSX T-shirt
I'm gonna go see them trains on spring
Would love to be there
Hi. CSX donated $25000? Wow, what a turnaround. The platform was proposed years back & was to be built in 2008. Nothing happened. Hopefully this is a solidified deal. CSX's management worries about liability issues, since the public is lawsuit happy.. That's why, unlike the 1970s-80s on the Seaboard Coast Line, rail fan trips today on CSX rails in Florida/Georgia are very rare, sad to say. BTW: I think I've seen you before on the car show day. Are you a model railroader as well?
Oh OK LOL
If you do? Let me know. I will be there
Well, it`s 2019 did they build it yet? awesome video Alan!
They Did Like 6-7 years ago..
Is the A Line the single track? I do most of my Railfanning on the A Line.
Which lines r the A & S?
Why Drive??? Fly to Tampa Florida
