As a Jewish person who celebrates Channukah, I would recommend you put your menorah near the window. It serves for a great picture and the wind blows out the candles. And something that my parents did was wrap all the presents for the next eight days in one wrap, and each day you open it and get one present.
Hey Mat, you should probably give this game another look, this game actually has a hidden lore and some secret dark stuff. It would be cool, if you are able to make theory about this.
Robot in the game: Evidence has already informed you that this is a dream *Me who has been living in a world with my crush married to me* :first time?”
18:10 When you cover up one eye, you lose _binocular vision._ You don't lose depth perception. Now, granted, binocular vision is a large part of depth perception, but it's not the _only_ factor. There are other methods, such as parallax motion and relative size, that the brain can use to figure out how far away something is. 18:58 I'm going to have to disagree here. Binocular vision only works out to about 20 feet/6 meters or so, so beyond that, the _only_ way to judge distance is by these other cues. If you're driving, it doesn't matter* if one eye is covered up or not, you can still judge depth just as well as you could with two eyes. *Because I know that _some_ overly-pedantic individual is going to chime in, I'm going to clarify that I'm only talking about depth perception. Having two eyes helps in other ways, such as peripheral vision, having better resolution, etc. So, you really shouldn't be driving around with one eye closed, especially at night.
51:22 Oh let her have this one, MatPat XD It's one of the few non-reproduction-related things we get to be slightly better at :") aside from color distinction and barely anything else
I was born cross-eyed. My eyes actually used to be able to move independently from one another with one focusing on one thing and the other moving somewhere else. I got surgery when I was just a couple years old, but my stereoscopic vision is still absolutely awful. The eye doctor said my brain has tried to correct for it so I can kinda see 3D movies and stuff, but I have trouble with most of those newspaper puzzles where staring at it makes something appear and also driving and telling how far things away are can be difficult.
I know someone with vision in only one eye, and they have very little depth perception. People with 20-20 vision really don't appreciate all the little things depth perception allows you to do. It can be as little as missing the bin when you put something in, to having the calculate the distance of a vehicle in front of you. Vision and depth perception is a gift.
On the topic of depth percesion. I have issues with it, though I have it, because one of my eyes had a infection that left a scar on it. With most day to day stuff it doesn't impact me but when it comes to things like driving, when seeing oncoming traphic, I have to take more time to judge it and intentionally look for context clues to see how far people are from me and how fast they are going. I have had friends actually complain that I am WAY TOO CAUSIOUS of a driver, but I tell ya, after it happened for a month or so, I had too many close calls.
This is legitimately just my standard thought process, the way you go through this game and think about the different angles is just the way I think about things normally.

It hurts to see them thinking that it's up and down instead of just prespective
I know right? I was like, do yall rlly understand perspective?
@@johnmichaelfidler8499 it hurts even more having watched both Mark's playthrough of this game and his playthrough of the m.o.s.t. game which is basically the free version of this from 2016
When something is far away, its bigger
When something is very close, its smaller
That's perspective :)
Yes it seems that the don't understand that but they will learn in time
As a Jewish person who celebrates Channukah, I would recommend you put your menorah near the window. It serves for a great picture and the wind blows out the candles. And something that my parents did was wrap all the presents for the next eight days in one wrap, and each day you open it and get one present.
I didn’t notice all of the similarities to portal... I guess now we know why I like this game so much
Happy thanksgiving to y’all!
What do you mean? Matpat said it already passed
I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I love the fact that you wish everyone a happy thanksgiving. You are an AWESOME person, Arocknight54 2 :)
Wdym it’s Christmas 2021
No! It’s Valentines Day 1967
I was so excited for you guys to play this one after I watched Mark play it. I knew Matt was going to geek out ☺️
this is one of the best puzzle games that came out in a while its really fun
Very tricky sometimes, but it's still very cool :) I completly agree with you, delu knight. Also, your profile picture looks AWESOME :)
Hey Mat, you should probably give this game another look, this game actually has a hidden lore and some secret dark stuff.
It would be cool, if you are able to make theory about this.
Oliver: Is all about water towers
Kakyoin: I fear
Im thankful for you people being alive and not thankful for you having the stream on a school day...
Streaming on a school day...
that's kinda annoying, I agree :/
I love how in the beginning they're saying it's way past Thanksgiving but it's actually the day before Thanksgiving
Same! Happy Thanksgiving btw :) Also, I love your profile picture :) It's very pretty!!
@@BrotherTheory Aaawww thx ☺️ happy Thanksgiving!
YES, I've been waiting for you guys to play forever. Thank you so much for playing it
Me too :) FINALLY!
@@BrotherTheory Wow, you reply to a lot of people
@@ineedhelp1016 I make them happy by giving them compliments. That's what I love to do :)
@@BrotherTheory I see what you're saying... you completely lied with what you said above... *_Sniff_ It's okay, I get it.
you should try anti-chamber for even more mind-numbing fun
Thanks for the awesome recommendation, hannes :) I appreciate it!
@@BrotherTheory Well, I'll check out your channel for now
I love mat is just so focused on playing the game he just doesn’t care what steph was saying
Robot in the game: Evidence has already informed you that this is a dream
*Me who has been living in a world with my crush married to me* :first time?”
First time :) I love your joke!
Underrated
For the record, "dream theory," could also be a collection of studies on dreams.
Minecraft Dream: **Eats baked Pork Chop**
Matpat: "Don't miss a fire alarm"
Also Matpat: Misses the next fire alarm
I literally was just watching slimecicle’s playthrough
I love that RUclipsr :)
I didn't see it yet it must have been suuuuper chaotic.
@@chrishebert9062 Yeah, instead of thinking about the story behind the game he just slowly descended into a mental confusion in the classic slime way
On the topic of depth percesion.
It is 4 in the morning. Perfect time for GTLive!
So where’s the theory on Life Is Strange MatPat?
Omg
The theory is lost in 2016
when is he gonna continue with the pixar theory? doctor who part 4?
I would love a theory on Life Is Strange! Brilliant idea, Emerald :)
@@BrotherTheory he should play LIS2 first though
Although theory might be irrelevant to it, but whatever
I, uh, misread that as “It’s all about protection.”
Wow XD
Also I like TLK and RWBY as well
I read "It’s all about reflection" (I am blind lol :))
You know, for people with really good logic (apparantly) thay make every game they play, even puzzle games, lile 3 times longer than everyone else
3 times more content for us, GREAT :)
There’s pride in knowing that I solved some of those puzzles faster than them
Yep, You are a true theorist, ollie music :)
This is legitimately just my standard thought process, the way you go through this game and think about the different angles is just the way I think about things normally.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how cute Ollie is?
He is, I completly agree with you, Luca :)
I have already taken several moments to appreciate how cute Ollie is
