@Crotchwhistle Purple it can be calm but technically they probably still are fast. Because your REM sleep will be relatively short compared to all the stuff you are dreaming of which you usually don't remember everything. Meaning you'll have dreamed even more then you can remember. For instance I once fell asleep for maybe 1-5 minutes in which I Immediately slipped in REM sleep after I woke myself up by being too aware of being asleep I felt like I had slept for hours yet only minutes had past.
I love how Steph is clearly getting the gist of the game way better. MatPat is still stuck at "lift object up and it becomes bigger", not really leveraging the fact that the size of the object is as big and as far away as what it looks like.
Matt saying he doesn’t understand the loss of depth perception while struggling on a depth perception puzzle is gold. Then again, as an artist, relative location and depth perception have become two of my strong suits. Edit: note to self, remember text doesn’t have tone, I’m not saying my strong suits to brag, I’m saying that I constantly take them for granted. :/
If you like this game you HAVE to play shadowpoint for vr it has different mechanics but still really cool! It starts out a lil slow but quickly you see how mind-blowing it is

There are also secrets hidden throughout the game like chess pieces, blueprints, and constellations. I would love to see how they fit into the lore. :)
i can say its possible to dream inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream and also inside a dream as i remember doing that on at least 4 different occasions growing up (2 of which happened in later part of high school/early college so not just childhood limited)

I know someone with vision in only one eye, and they have very little depth perception. People with 20-20 vision really don't appreciate all the little things depth perception allows you to do. It can be as little as missing the bin when you put something in, to having the calculate the distance of a vehicle in front of you. Vision and depth perception is a gift.

As someone who was born with strabismus, what Steph says is pretty accurate. 3D movies don't really work on me but I can tell that my phone has depth n such. I naturally turn my head to the left so my right (good) eye has a more centered view, and I can swap between using my eyes, but my left (bad) eye is more blurry. I did patching when I was a kid 2hrs every day on my "good" eye and eventually got surgery for it.
I find that depth perception is not just having 2 eyes, but knowing that the closer something is the more of your field of view it covers. Things appear faster when close to you.

I was born cross-eyed. My eyes actually used to be able to move independently from one another with one focusing on one thing and the other moving somewhere else. I got surgery when I was just a couple years old, but my stereoscopic vision is still absolutely awful. The eye doctor said my brain has tried to correct for it so I can kinda see 3D movies and stuff, but I have trouble with most of those newspaper puzzles where staring at it makes something appear and also driving and telling how far things away are can be difficult.

There are also secrets hidden throughout the game like chess pieces, blueprints, and constellations. I would love to see how they fit into the lore. :)
i can say its possible to dream inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream and also inside a dream as i remember doing that on at least 4 different occasions growing up (2 of which happened in later part of high school/early college so not just childhood limited)

Great video! If you like this, you'd definitely like Pneuma: Breath of Life. It's in the same genre but has a LOT, and I mean A LOT, of lore. I think there's enough lore that isn't explicitly told that you could legit do a Game Theory on it. Anyway, if any of the Theorists see this comment, please check it out! I'd love to see MatPat and Steph play it!

I know someone with vision in only one eye, and they have very little depth perception. People with 20-20 vision really don't appreciate all the little things depth perception allows you to do. It can be as little as missing the bin when you put something in, to having the calculate the distance of a vehicle in front of you. Vision and depth perception is a gift.
This NEEDS to be turned into a vr game.

As someone who was born with strabismus, what Steph says is pretty accurate. 3D movies don't really work on me but I can tell that my phone has depth n such. I naturally turn my head to the left so my right (good) eye has a more centered view, and I can swap between using my eyes, but my left (bad) eye is more blurry. I did patching when I was a kid 2hrs every day on my "good" eye and eventually got surgery for it.

I find that depth perception is not just having 2 eyes, but knowing that the closer something is the more of your field of view it covers. Things appear faster when close to you.

I love how Mat and Steph is like “Mistletoe... gross!” And they have a two year old Baby. I understand secretive romantic, I’m down for that because Gaming not ‘Gaaming’. But the consistent reference.
I was born cross-eyed. My eyes actually used to be able to move independently from one another with one focusing on one thing and the other moving somewhere else. I got surgery when I was just a couple years old, but my stereoscopic vision is still absolutely awful. The eye doctor said my brain has tried to correct for it so I can kinda see 3D movies and stuff, but I have trouble with most of those newspaper puzzles where staring at it makes something appear and also driving and telling how far things away are can be difficult.
I’m so happy you guys are finally playing this! This is one of my favorite portal-esque games
