a stargate is a portal that has to be connected/linked to an other one to work. then they become a way to travel, like two nether portals. So, one portal on its own is completely useless, you need two. the quest asked for one, so we thought it was enough to get the "stargate tier" role on the gtnh discord, but they told us we need two portals.... also, even if we had two, it would only be a fancier way of traveling, the relocator works better... if we get a second one, it will either be on the other side of the wall of the main base room, so that we can make a roof (joke about not having roofs due to it being easyer to fly around - which is actually true) or in the basement of ep1 (or elsewhere if berta has better ideas)

Hey, one thing I was wondering about, did you ever have issues with chunk corruption due to too much storage? It's something I'm really anxious about, and it makes me really not want to make infinity chests or any other large storage solution. GTNH has increased the NBT limit in chunks by a lot, but GTNH also involves way, way, way more items than vanilla, so it's a toss up to me.
never had such issues. as far as i know, you'd have to stuff data heavy things into each other (put storage cells into infinity chests into storage chests etch.) just be careful when managing "items that store other items"
