It was really moving to walk through a bit of history that I had somehow not quite been fully aware of . What I see is not so much of dynastic rule but a sequence of tragic events that compelled members of this illustrious family to fill a void left by a member of the family.. I somehow get the feeling that little is remembered of their role in the politics of this country and even less so the respect due and given to them as a family that has given much to the nation. I for one would like to see one or both of his children Priyanka and Rahul in key roles in the political framework some day.
Ah and before you ask me to get real and wake up to reality ..... I'll only say " Nothing is over ..... till it is over "
I'm sorry my comment is so very long but I spoke my mind . 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you so much Ms.Garewal for sharing the three part series on a man I respect so very much and for an in depth view of his persona . Jai Hind

Today at the age of 48, I still see this program directed by you with lot of interest and it still has the highest viewership. More than that, Rajiv Gandhi suffered more personal losses than any other Prime Minister before him. At first, his father died in 1960. Then his grandfather, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964. Then flash-forward to 1980 and his brother Sanjay Gandhi died in a plane crash. In 1984, his mother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated. Hard to believe that he continued on so well and coped with these losses.

@@akashrautela8480 it might be a wonderful India for Hindu brothers, but the peace of mind of Muslim brothers are long gone. They are being attacked and targeted under this government. There is no point in bragging of false developments if the government can't provide a non communal and peaceful country to live in. The religious parity is ever high under this govt! I hate this government for dividing people and creating religious tensions in my India. Hell with his development, it would have happened even under Congress. But no this communalism

I used to often think how Indira Gandhi faced the indian public after marrying Firoz Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi after marrying a outsider.
And that's all happened in 20th century, where our people had very primitive and orthodox kind of thinking and mindset.
Politics was so calm and crystal clear that time. Now it has been ruined totally and manipulation and diplomacy is the new defination of Indian politics nowadays.

I also realized the pain of Sonia Gandhi, she indeed had gone through a lot.
The family shattered bcoz of politics and lack of guidance in the later period.

By looking this video I can say that the Gandhi family is typical Indian family and they have all the emotions, ethics, principles, bonding , love and affection the Indian people have within the family. The right from Nehruji to Rajivji they had done lots of work for the people of India but unfortunately the family lost Indiraji,Sanjayji and Rajivji the three great personalities at an early stage and the family is broken sadly. If these personalities would have alive as of today the India would have super power in the world. Rajivji's interview depicts every thing, I my self feel very sad to hear his words, his wife Soniyaji ,son Rahulji Gandhi and daughter Priyanka ji Gandhi vadra trying their level best to regain the lost grounds, we hope that they would succeed.

What a humble and kind person Rajivji! This interview has unfolded another side of our beloved PM. I still remember watching his election speeches on national television in my childhood. The interviewer has precisely captured his attitude towards life and importance for family values which is missing nowadays. He must have gone through tremendous pain while facing sad events in his family. Certainly it requires lot of courage when you lost immediate family members and have to run this country. But Rajivji has shown 'nation first' attitude and an example for people in power.

It’s my humble request, not to degrade them. Saw many fake and degrading news about them in the WhatsApp university.
Also, Deeply saddened by the current situation of our country. Even today, people are fighting for religion. It’s such a shame that the ruling government is playing such a dirty game of politics.
Hope my fellow brothers and sisters of India will start thinking with their brain and rise above religion and caste.
