As to the point about MGK getting ‘shelved’ and banned.. Sway stated himself that he invited MGK to come on the show and right after was told he wasn’t allowed due to the Em situation so he had to back track it.
Not sure how true all of the rest of it is (depends on who you believe), but Em absolutely had him banned from getting air time on the station.

To be honest, whether you're on the side, the beat of the mgk song was very good, the problem is that the instrumental was too big for mgk
The reason that bridge in Rap Devil doesn't make sense (where he says the line about when your idols become your rivals) is because he had already released this song with different lyrics on SoundCloud like 9 months prior to the release of Kamikaze. When he heard "Not Alike", he reworked the lyrics, made a random thrown-together video, and officially released the song "Rap Devil" as an Eminem diss.
It also makes me giggle that MGK talks about Em's "surprise album just to diss him", as if the whole album was trying to diss MGK instead of just one part of one song. The delusional narcissism is so obvious it hurts. Lol. You even mentioned it yourself how he insists that Sway/Paul Rosenberg blackballed him from Shade45 specifically because Em told them to. And the worst part is, I believe that at least on some level, he genuinely believes that he's right and it's all because of the tweet from 2012 about Hailie. He always conveniently forgets about the freestyle he did PLUS his line on the Tech N9ne song dissing Em that caused Em to write that part of Not Alike...none of this had anything at all to do with MGK's tweet.
