I lived in Austin in the 80s and I went to the Parlor many times. I never had the chili though. My mother in law would treat us on Sundays and we had Bloody Marys which were on special. Between football on tv and Bloody Marys, I don't remember the food at all.😢
No beans, no tomatoes, and easy on the cumin (can overpower the multiple ground chili flavors used in the dumps)...with a little sweetness and an adequate bold dose of hotness.
I was born and raised in Texas. Lived here my entire life and have no plans to leave. That said...I love beand in my chili and will never understand what the big deal is.
Ok y'all...beans or no beans in your chili?
NO BEANS
I put dark kidney beans in mine. If purists want to freak out, we’ll that’s what purists do, but with or without it’s still great.
Beans 👍👍 ,
I'm good with either, as long as it's good.
@@davidfuller5215 agreed!

My “go-to” is their Enchiladas topped off with the Habanero chili…
I personally love their Habanero Chili and drowning their enchiladas in the Habanero…Heavenly
This is Texas! A trip right around the corner!

They are both good. It's like the debate between New York and Chicago style pizza. Stop arguing and enjoy it all!
Venison CHili
That chili looks so good!! Chili is truly one of the best foods in the world.
I LOVE Texas chili and just about everything that has to do with Texas. However I am from the midwest so I will also eat beans in my chili.
David Hall says it looks ok, but i bet its not as good as Wolf brand chili.
