Unfortunately for me I’d say it’s not the lack of drawing ability or ideas. But more so the fact that I’m very limited in what I can draw well. Scenery, perspective, hands(getting much better) and familiarity with many of the tools in CS to get that manga look. And unlike when I first started drawing seriously about 8 or so years ago I don’t have the same amount of patience most days to essentially start from square one again with the things I’m still struggling with. Right now I’ve taken to doing illustrations with the skills I do have for a story I am writing, more acned to a LN. Best I could manage for the time being😅.
Don't publish anything until you feel ready for it, also I've learned to focus more on the story than anything because comics are a process and will take years to finish so automatically you'll progress as you put more books out there
Personally here’s what I recommend to do: plan your story form beginning to end (ALL of it) before you write the story free styling is HELLA stressful so plan the whole story out before hand second have friends willing to help you with illustrating or writing and stuff like that

For me I'm still growing! So I wish I could say this is the sure way to do it but im still figuring it out myself! I'd say social media, reels, and ads are the way to go. Either hire a team or do it yourself! I make all my trailers and ads myself with the help of my editor and voice actors !

I think all creators should start with self publishing unless approached otherwise. All publishing companies are not the best and unless they reach out with a good offer I'd say do it yourself and learn the industry that way! Because you can always go with a company whenever you want! If that's your choice !

For me personally I have been using clip studio for 11 years and that's what I use for all my manga work and illustrations! So I would start there. If you can afford it there are other alternatives depending on your equipment! As for where to post it im published with Pilot manga but you can use webtoon, tapas, and more!

You need to practice the basics more before jumping to the big stuff.

Should I draw digital or on paper?
It's a personal preference, I preference digital because it's cost effective and fits my lifestyle!
