Wow i actually needed something like this since I was in the middle of studying Kei Mochizuki's stuff. Came across this vid while looking for drawing demos from her. Good stuff
Man this video was very helpful! I was recently interested in kei mochizuki's Art style and this came across my youtube, thanks for this, keep up the work!!
I can't help but love seeing illustrations with crazy expressions. Idk why lol. Maybe I should cater my studies to crazy expressions once I'm through with my other stuff (boxes and spheres etc). I wanna get better at lineart too because I usually avoid it. Also, you totally got me hooked to Animal Crossing music T_T t's too good
youtube recommended your channel to me because of my research on yoneyama, congratulations friend you have a future in the art world, it was wonderful, congratulations again ❤
Underappriciated contend. or perhaps because its new that you have so little views, you deserve a lot more :) . This helps a lot. Only mention CSP is a good choice as it s much cheaper (40$ - 20$ on sale) and has more functions for illustrations prebuild.
this analyzation is great, it is very helpful, neat and informative, I wanted to develop a style something like this and this video helps greatly, thank you for documenting your process and research!
I think in real life, these lines are clearer at locations where they are in contact with direct light. So you might not see these lines in shadowy areas, but whether you add them or not is a style choice. Also I made a mistake in the video, I think it’s not called ‘light falloff’ but ‘subsurface scattering’. Sorry! 🙏

Question, do you add light fall-offs to every shadow? or is there something specific the shadow must have for them to be given light fall-offs?
