I may not agree with all.the Christopher stood for but I adored him and certainly miss his opinions. Extremely witty, intelligent, talented and spoke out against BS. Christopher, George Carlin and Gore Vidal. My top three I miss ever so much.
He was right about some things and incredibly stupid and naive about other things. Edwards was a greasy Charlatan that most smart people could see coming a mile away. Not sure what was wrong with Hitches that he couldn't.
what chis was saying, is that the camel is like an iceberg, and the camel's nose is like the tip of the iceberg, and the tent is the surface of the ocean, and the inside of the tent is a boat, and george bush is riding the camel.
I drank a lot too but several months ago at 33… gave it up. I miss Chris too. Very smart gentleman. And while I disagreed with him on war… I hate seeing corporate assholes steal & act corrupt.
Back when Miller was occasionally funny. I used to wait anxiously for the show to come on, but that waned over the years. Always able to draw top guests, it was often the interviews that revealed Miller wasn't nearly as smart as the well-written monologs made him seem. Much more obvious in retrospect, but not understanding the camel's nose metaphor was but one example of Miller's ignorance. His hard turn right can only be explained as he said himself - he made a little money and decided he'd rather live behind a wall. Good for him.
Welp, take heart friend because unlike Miller sho failed to convince you he's authentic, your diatribe managed to convince everyone on planet three you're an insignificant boob.
I'm giving Dennis a pass on the metaphor. I believe him to be intelligent. No one on Earth knows everything. Even Hitch. Proof his he was dead wrong on Edwards.
: Man, I miss Hitchens. The place isn't the same anymore, and many very bad people breathe too easily since his passing.

Pin stripe and sandals. Legend.
I love hitchens. He was totally wrong about edwards.
that was a nice story about the pool drains though

Well we all were Lou.
Camel's nose under the tent is older than history, but Dennis never heard of it.
I never really cared for Miller, but his deadpan delivery of “what the fuck does that mean” around 17:18 won me over.
Miller is brilliant; Hitchens learned everything from his writings.
Trying to think of any recent presidents who met the “stupid AND conceited” criteria for most dangerous type of person. Any ideas?

I´m surprised Hitch got Edwards so wrong.
You did know Hitchens was a liberal right?? Even after he sniffed Bush 43’s throne
Kinda of sad to see hitch with a smoke and drink in hand knowing how it ended for him. Definitely missed.

Which reminds me that I owe Parker that $20. ……. Right ?
John Edwards? The cheat on your wife while she's dying of Cancer? John
Reminds me of Newt Gingrich, Repubs let you get away with stuff like that.

The only thing holding Hitchins back were the questions. In a better world, they would have switched seats, and Miller would have been replaced

I totally agree with comments.ltoo anxiously looked forward to his show and found it lacking after about '97.

He also realized that the hard left is batshit crazy
Nice call on Edwards Hitch! I had to revisit Edwards' wiki page to refresh my memory on just what a slime ball he was and is.
“Two day old Neutrogena”…. What the whole hell does that mean? That monologue was unbearable. 😑
this was pointlessly boring.
