That Fendt tractor looks so cool & powerful fitted with those LSW tyres. Even if they don't aid traction, ride comfort & decrease compaction they just make you want to get to work in that tractor. 🥰😍
I visited relatives down in Brown County Ohio, over the July 4th holiday. On the night of the 3rd they got an 1 1/2 of rain. Then more rain on the 5th. Their crops really needed the rain like yours. They are 70 miles south west of you so I do not know it you got much of that rain or not. It will be interesting how the newer Ideal works in your corn and soybeans. We demoed one in the fall of 2022. It really struggled in the green stem soybeans we had that fall. We plugged the combine right behind the rotor several times. It really sucked cleaning it out. When we switched to corn it did a good job. We hope to get another Demo this fall to see how the updates work out. We liked the grain sample from the Ideal.
This intro is my old school favorite. I know yall been catching rain, hopefully you can get us caught up soon. I know I’m curious to see how things are progressing.
I’m late to the party, but you’re talking about the seeder vs a planter. We’ve had very good luck with 15” wheat in central Indiana using a 1790 Deere planter. Just food for thought. Thanks.
It would add a step and consume some time, but you could consider harrowing the straw after combining and it may help the seeder get second crop in. Just something to consider. Thanks for your videos Brian!
Up here in northeast Ohio, they kept a rail line because it had several industries at the end that could still use it if they wanted to. Ohio Rail Commission generaly keeps tabs on what might ne needed, also it's cheaper for RRs to take a line out of service than fully abandoned it, that way they don't have to spend the money to pull up the tracks.
Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ and Dad. Was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Appears the Fendt combine is doing great. You are knocking down the wheat in good order and the combine has no problems. Sounds like your dad is enjoying the joystick control. Neat. Hang in there Bob. Sounds like your seeding double crop is going ok. You are moving right along anyway. Hot weather everywhere it seems. 91 here in Iowa. I also watch a Montana farm harvest wheat and been 100 everyday out there, wow. About it I guess. Thanks for everything Brian. You all hang in there. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍👋✅🇺🇸🇺🇸
I always refer to y’all’s dad as pop, now we have another meaning POP=Bob Sr., and also POP=plenty of power😁pops does seem to like the combine though. Take care Brown family🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
You should put a static bar on your combine chains can cause electrical problems when the links bounce I will send you a static bar keeps the dust on the combine way down
You need hp to do wheat . You know that of course . 790 instead of 645 would have made a big difference. But I know it's about a good deal as well . 👍🏻
I drove through Chillicothe today (7/28) and I saw a few spots where the corn looked like pencils it was so dry. Hopefully none of that was where you guys farm. I was on state route 35.
@@leddielive Every Farmer knows what CAN happen, but most try to prevent problems. They are facing a different paradigm, since their dealership won't be handling AGCO/Fendt after this year, but if they build a relationship with the new dealer, they will be ok.
I’m surprised the farm doesn’t have more wheat acres. It probably contributes about as much as your row crops per acre without the input cost of corn and beans and you get a shot at a double crop. It’s good to diversify though I suppose…
“Maintenance of way” they need to maintain the RR line if they want to keep rights to it and depreciating the previous investment. The schedules are 50, 75, 100yrs on some of the work that was done. Keep the signs up and keep writing off past expenses vs today’s income. The IRS is a grand organization.😂
So much wheat this year. Then early double soybean crop for more beans than needed. To bad wheat and beans are dirt cheap. Is a shame a big crop and still high priced bread...makes it hard for ends to meet. How did things get like this!
Wheat harvest was brutal over in Indiana as well. We got rain, but it wasn't pretty. We don't double crop over here front is early and they aren't worth the cost to plant them. Congratulations on your billons of dollars wheat harvest good one B. J. lmao 😂.
Yeah had from 1 bpa beans didnt combine them, lowest we cut was 3bpa, insurance appriased at 6, best weve cut was 55, average in 30s last year best cut was 50, then 38, then 20 and last one made 9
Complaining about only doing 100 acre's per day, whereas you were doing 150-60 with the two machines, is that a fair comparison? Same number of hours per day? How was the wheat yield in previous years, 100bpa or 60-70? Makes a big difference. You put in Estes concaves, XPR2 or 3? 3"s are supposedly quite a bit better than the 2"s. Less power consumption among other benefits. Run the machine at 100% power, if there's very little grain on the ground, why not? You'll get more done than if you run at 80 or 90% obviously. Should have gotten a 10 instead of a 9 if you want 1 machine to equal 2 class 7 machines. But you got a good deal on the 9 whereas with a 10 maybe the good deal wouldn't have happened.

🎉🎉 Brian, I believe u will be trading your Caterpillar tractor this year give the 9s 425 would be a great up grade from Massey Ferguson

Great Video Brian, Dad loves the Ideal, I don't think you will get to drive it for a while, thanks for sharing
Thanks again for the video and have a good day greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Love the fendt very nice piece!!!!

I like your work, I am from banladesh
Brillant video Brian fair play to ye all from cork ireland
Thanks Brian, great video.
A more in depth review of the Horsch drill and Fendt combine would be pretty cool.
"Going out on the four lane in just a minute..." and I go: Whaaaaat?? :)

We drug a chain on the ground off the rear axle. All the static dust went away.
Uncle Brian we need to see Mason before school starts up love that little dude ❤
Yea, it's been hot in West Virginia which we get very few 90 degree days, but this we have had several days like that and it's still July 28th.
Keep up the great work! Hopefully you get the needed rain, but it doesn't sound like you did.
Wow, the speed at which that grain tank empties
Totally awesome.
Thanks for the video.

Just looking on, what you guys are doing seems really efficient. What with 1 combine and all.
I agree planter does better at getting a uniform stand over drill
Did you roll your double crop beans after you planted
You should put a static bar on your combine chains can cause electrical problems when the links bounce I will send you a static bar keeps the dust on the combine way down
One thing about the Horsch, seems it has not cost you a lot of money in repairs!

Doesn’t the header have its own trailer. How’s that work for ya are you pulling it with the combine?
top Video , weiterhin viel Erfolg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep saying that you need to drag a length of log chain attached to the combine frame. All that dust will fall off in short order.
to a certain extent. But you still have dust
@joescheller6680 I did it for many years and my dad did that with the farm combines before me. They learned it from a custom harvest crew in the 70s
we no till all our beans with corn planter guaranteed seed placement and guaranteed seed count. One planter does same thing.
Good stuff Brian
Glad you enjoyed it
Brian, with these dry years, I cant help but wonder if irrigation would be an option for you? Yes or no, and why not? :)
Good video.
Thanks!
I'm all ready done with double crops indiana!!
another great video
Thanks for the visit
Thanks 👍

We are on 35 east of Chillicothe
Why not install a 6-8" front shield on the grain bin to reduce chance of "Cabcorn or Cab beans" ?
It will just spill somewhere else cab is the best place for it to spill
3 people, 3 jobs. Another combine means something isn't getting done. I think you made a good decision. Always a dice roll. Great video!
I agree with you, however we will know for sure if the Fendt Ideal breaks down & we see how well they all cope? 🤔
Well said.

had other farms i follow had trouble in down wheat with getting deer shit and having loads rejected did you have this trouble

Bob’s favorite video game ever. 😂
Glad to see some Horsch seeder.
I am living literally right next to the original company here in Bavaria 😊

Wheat has more input cost than beans for us and probably close to as much as corn
Would you know the price difference between your class 9 harvester and the competitors. IE case JD NH
This was a left over model with a lot of discounts to move it. Not sure if you were ordering brand new from each
when the Challenger Tractor goes back will you get another Fendt 1038
Good stuff.
Dude where have you been. 😅hope you had a great vacation.
It was an epic trip
no seed treatment?

amazing video. thank you so much
Glad you liked it!
Praying for yall to get a rain 🌧
Thanks
Long time no see!
The tracks of terror are working
I was wondering if you still were making videos
What tractor next to follow the Challenger purchase it or upgrade to another make

Is it true you had a lot of problems with the gleaner and didn't like it I didn't think so but some people act like you had problems with it
Had a couple issues but they were all under warranty. The last 150 hours we didn’t have to turn the first bolt
@@BriansFarmingVideos ok thanks
Brian, you guys still using PipeAg ?
Yep
Corn is short in my hood
you cant combine wheat with corn chaffer. Not a clean sample.
Corntank, one more extra round, dough! #cabcorn
Glacier cherry Gatorade the white one if you know you know
Brian you need more videos it seems like you slowed way down
It’s almost like he’s busy farming or something lol
I'm surprised your dad likes the joystick instead of a steering wheel in the combine
Good video good to see y'all
great video
Thanks!
What interstate was that in the background
US route 35
We're begging for dry weather to cut our wheat and you guys we dry
Who's going to take over Ohio Ag to service your fendts?
Wow a month behind in videos I thought you were late getting the wheat off at first
Cheap window tint on the combine! 🤷♂️
SUBSCRIBE AND "THUMBS UP"; SOOO EASY TO DO AND HELPS OUT THE CHANNEL GREATLY.

Was on a vacation with bad service. Videos will be up to date in a few days
Why are the videos slower than usual?
We went on a few week vacation
Great video Brian
Thanks 👍
Combine seems to be working good. Enjoyed the video. You boys stay cool out there
bonne moisson brian s
Thank you!
Why do you even care what fuel consumption is.
You can't change it anyway.
Have to compare to make sure it’s fuel efficient as far as acres per gallon
Every smart farmer understands their costs.
Fuel consumption is a big factor.
